I figure it's either a thing because it's somehow easier for them to create anti-magic against "uncombined" winds or because they're high and dark magic users and they don't want talismans effective against them floating around.A talisman that's completely useless against the forms of magic that are most likely to be used to ruin someone's day with?
How ass-backwards is that? It's at it's best against legitimate magic users--but not the most dangerous legitimate magic users.
Yeah. By simply knowing that Skaven (and Cathay) have a material that reject single-wind magics we now know not to lean on it too heavily when they're around.Prepare against the Cathayan amulet? That was what I called a wasted AP.

Yes and we are currently just funneling aetheric vitae out of a snek.
We need to study vitae more, get a better source of vitae, figure out how to make vitae solid, then we have a replacement for warpstone for the Weber Gun!
Could not have known beforehand. Happens. Shrugs[X] Send it to the Colleges as a potentially useful trinket
*sigh*
Waste of a perfectly good AP, but that's fair, not every curiosity can be useful.
I meant out of the list of people that was suggested to us, sorry. Because someone who has that can't be healed or blessed or... (unless dark magic is involved somehow) so, not useful to those who we would like to be protected.I imagine people who find themselves fighting Bright mages and priests more often than elves and vampires prefer to have protection against that.
Like we ever do. In general we use magic for buffs not attack. Less chance of miscast that way.Yeah. By simply knowing that Skaven (and Cathay) have a material that reject single-wind magics we now know not to lean on it too heavily when they're around.

It would be great if we expected a fight against Bretonnia or Kislev. Hmm, @BoneyM, does it protect against Waagh magic? From the lectures, that's a combination of divine and arcane, so it might fall under the stuff this thing protects from.
Especially if we can give it to Wolf without shutting down the mind link.
