Generally, when given the choice to steal from the Tomb Kings or not, it's always the right choice yo choose not to...

We may need to persuade him of that. Opening diplomatic relations with them could be very interesting.

The Tomb Kings get quite astonishingly touchy about the wealth they were buried with, but wealth deposited in foreign banks by the living doesn't have the same conceptual importance.

Technically speaking, this wasn't actually taken from their Tombs, which tends to be the big thing for them.

It's been 3,000 years, I don't think they're going to come for it now.

I don't think the Dwarfs have any reason at all to be open to diplomacy with the Tomb Kings. They don't like the Undead, and they've clashed before.

[ ] Gain enough control of your unruly shadow to still it temporarily.
[ ] Gain enough control of your attraction to smoke and gases to have it collect away from your face.
[ ] Try to see through Pall of Darkness with your improved magical senses.
[ ] Practice shooting while invisible. (applies to Substance of Shadow and Invisibility)

Well I really like these. Especially the top 2, with the third one getting the prize for most awesome.

Maybe we take a turn to consolidate? Convince our Skaven-pal to like us more and self-improve a bit?

It'd be competing with both our actual job, and the AV research a lot of people want to do.

Of course, it looks like most of the AV options are gated behind classes.

[] Plan: Spoken Queekish
-[][MAX] Study an artefact: Unknown black gem, stolen from the Skaven
-[][JOHANN] Study an artefact: Breathing apparatus, stolen from Clan Skryre
-[][DUCK] Johann's investigation into the ratling gun has hit a wall. See if you can help
-[][EIC] Put policies in place that local news should be collected and sent to you (rumour mill).
-[] Seek to build a stronger rapport with Qrech, and provide enough sources of mental stimulation that you can turn your attention elsewhere.
-[] Try to convince him outright to teach you spoken Queekish.
--[] Deceiver: Continue with the Gambit that teaching you Queekish continues to cause discontent in the Grey Order and of course the Grey Order itself already has Queekish...
-[] Travel to the Grey College and attend lessons there: Waystones and Waystone maintenance
-[] Investigate how the Vitae reacts to Dwarven magic-dampening Runes. (2 Dwarf favours)
-[] Wolf is fully grown and a Very Good Boy. Train him. (increases his intelligence, he may learn to speak Praestantia)
-[][PENTHOUSE] Have a gyrocopter landing pad built into your balcony.
-[][SERENITY] Brief observations on Eshin Sorcery (FRESH)
-[][COIN] The Deceiver: Skaven Gambit

Have a first draft everyone.
I am also tempted by practicing our magical senses with Pall of Darkness and intervening in Stirland's Vampire War.

@BoneyM

Didn't we already do the top option on AV?

No, IIRC you've only done AV research twice. The preliminary research determined what might make it transform, that would determine the exact amount of magical exposure required and try to look deeper into the exact nature of it.

So, we can't scout anywhere right now? Is everywhere considered already scouted?

The Karak's entirely retaken and Belegar's focused on consolidating.

Not lying, just not talk about it much, as I read this.

Ultimatly if there is money in care of the state and the owner dies with absolutly no heirs that could be legally (or morally) accepted, why not keep it?

Though I think the idea of returning the Nehekaran money to the Tomb Kings might be worth it, for diplomatic reasons.
I agree wholeheartedly. Monet is awesome but if anyone DOES still exist who can claim that wealth its a golden diplomatic opportunity.

"Records, not Grudges. There's an archipelago off the coast of Araby, that they currently call the Sorcerer's Islands. A few centuries after Barak Varr razed Ulthuan's colony there during the War of Vengeance, the dragon made its home there. For three hundred years, anything the Naggarothi had short of a Black Ark had to go all the way around the western side of Ulthuan, because if they passed between Ulthuan and Araby they'd either go too far east and be assaulted by the dragon, or too far west and run aground on the Shifting Isles. Eventually it either left or was driven out by Araby, but for a long time it was an important strategic advantage over the corsairs."
So, the dragon really doesn't like the Dark Elves. Which probably shouldn't be surprising, I don't think any dragon likes the Drucchi, even the ones they corrupted.

You've heard several versions of the story of Ranald's ascension, and several of them don't sit very well with you. You'd very much prefer to believe the best of your oldest friend.
Mathilde's reaction when she finds out the truth about Ranald's Greatest Trick™ is going to be absolutely hilarious.

Ranald's greatest trick isn't that he tricked Shallya into sharing her divinity, it was that he convinced humans that he did.

Ranald was always a god, the entire story of his 'ascension' is a lie to convince the mortals that he used to be one of them.

Personally, I like to imagine that more Shallyans know the real truth than Ranaldites do, that feels entirely in character for the trickster god.

Sooo, start the book with Max, and either get Spoken started, or dedicate ourselves to laying the Deception groundwork to convince Qrech that he should do it.

This is going to be hella extra credit stuff, and we gotta ensure that he is forced to believe the right things before we ask. I think Qrech would be better off believing that the enemies of Clan Moulder are still hanging around, either way.

Nice update. At first I was confused as to why Mathilde didn't do a report this time, but not only did she meet with Belegar and discuss stuff multiple times this update, I also don't currently even remember what we actually accomplished for him with straightforward turn actions this turn.

I forgot. We can take multiple organization actions if we want, right?

but King Belegar's patience holds you all there watching him
This sounds like there are more people present than Mathilde and Belegar. Is that correct?
