I'm not sure about magic but they where meant to be great artisans. They built literaly giant sized castles above the cloudline on the peaks of the Mountains of Mourne and they also forged, again literaly, giant sized cannons that are still in use today by the Ogre Kingdoms. They certainly built to last huh!:D

Because some of us like this sort of thing and see the social turn as a way to drum up interest and discover more about these characters.
Yeah my take on them and magic is I'm not sure either, it'd be interesting to see dwarf responses to their artisanship though extremely horrendusly difficult to achieve.

[X] Roswita, as she rides out the chaos of the influx of Battle Wizards.[x] Empress 'Heidi', to be present for the birth of her child

This part of your vote is formatted incorrectly, causing the tally to misread the results. It should be:

[X] Roswita, as she rides out the chaos of the influx of Battle Wizards.
[X] Empress 'Heidi', to be present for the birth of her child

[X] Roswita, as she rides out the chaos of the influx of Battle Wizards.
[X] Empress 'Heidi', to be present for the birth of her child

[X] Princess Edda, on a hunt for weavers across the Empire.

More detailed vote later when I get home but I definitely want to start working through the Eight Peaks Councilors since we work with them so often.

I mean, we already used our EIC Action to help Edda with Weavers, I'd rather talk to her over her Romance with Prince Kazrik if we're going to social her.

SAS: The Spider Air Service. Basically a large (so it can maintain local intelligence far from the nest) lurker pack that deploys by rappelling from gyrocopters. 2 SAS claims to be the best assassin and calls itself the Dame Webber.

Max denies teaching the We to pun.

I dunno, man, Collection-sempai has recently undergone a goth phase, and is going 50 Shades of Dark Elf on Mathilde.

Giant disappearing/reappearing sword, Shadow knives, a preference for wearing tight fitting leather with too many belts, straps and buckles, dungeon (I don't beleave the "it's not for fun") next to her bedroom? Hate to tell you mate but Mathilde is the dominatrix in that relationship. Collection-sempi is just the Gimp. She even locked him away in her bedroom so he couldn't play with other wizards. Collection-sempi is NOT the one that started the fifty shades of Dark Elf here. He's just the one that finally put his foot down when she tried to bring in a REAL dark elf. you didn't think she actually gave him up voluntarily did you?

Approval voting Edda now that the fight for fifth place has become a fight for fourth+fifth place, because while I've been arguing for the fief and not for Edda, I prefer Edda+Roswita to Roswita+fief+no Edda. For crying out loud, we should interact with any of our fellow council members.

"'Don't attack the Dwarves,' Qrech said. 'The greenskins are weak, the Dwarves are strong. They are not as vulnerable as we will be if you attack them.' 'Coward', Grot-brained Moulder said. All the soldiers he had given Qrech were loyal to him. They put Qrech in cage, Grot-brained Moulder had many ideas for what he would do with Qrech after 'victory'." Qrech's eyes refocus on reality as he shakes himself loose of the grip of memory. "What happened to them?"

It's the first unprompted question he's asked, and you refrain from smiling. "Dwarves from one side, greenskins from another, Clan Mors from a third. Exterminated."

Qrech's teeth rub against each other in something that sounds almost like a purr. "Good."

I figured out how I want to approach the skaven. We flip the coin to deciever, lie about our capabilities, and 'let' 'him' use us as a tool against the traitor clan.

Building off of three things:
- this is an adult, enculturated skaven. We're never going to be able to trust him, we need to assume he is always going to be working towards what he understands as the horned gods will, and he is always going to be trying to build status with other skaven.
- he reacted hardest when we immediately agreed with him by changing our phrasing to 'traitor-clan'. If he thinks he can use us to hurt them, he'll go for it. We are establishing this already: upping the stakes to offering to bring him specific heads and fresh news will have him buy in.
- if we tell him honestly that we don't trust him and so will be restricting his tools to just us, he'll understand this as us using him to destroy our enemy. He wants to act, he does it through us- this is true, believable, and tempting enough to be worth it.

So from this, we lie about our ability and lean into him teaching us queekish so we can better get him news about what is going on. Basically, the more he teaches us, the more we can tell him is actually going on, and the better we can identify and remove individuals he doesn't like.

Offer him the illusion of power, and a taste of it's reality. We likely won't have to do much more than showing up with the head of someone he mentioned he wanted dead to bait the trap.

We just need to know that he is going to try and play us through this. If we can keep him thinking that is where our game is, sneaking out queekish may be possible without him realizing.

Why are we talking about romance options all of a sudden

People who know that being in love and falling in love makes you happy want that for Mathilde. I'm one of them.

The thread going weird and having nothing else to talk about, flavored by it being the social turn. If it was a action turn we'd probably be nattering on about K8P culture or local geopolitics or weird ideas to ascend to Ultimate Power TM.

I'm amused by the idea that the subject of relationships is 'getting weird'. As opposed to the normal discussion about optimizing hellfire towers.

My romance leanings continue to slowly slide toward Johann as his interests continue to align with ours even more. The happy home life of murdering skaven and raising their pets is pretty stronk.

I really would be on board, the moment he expressed interest. Like, if he hits on us at all, I'm there, but until I see something on going to hesitate for the same reasons I voted against Anton.

Extensive Bretonnian Mutants
Extensive Esoteric Imperial Guns
Extensive Dwarven Guns
Extensive Bretonnian Guns
Extensive Bretonnian Canines

I'll explain the new additions I've written up here.

Karaz Ankor: BoneyM said that for psychological stuff, you get books of that race. For interrogating skaven prisoners, you get Skaven books, so for helping a dwarf out of his funk you get Karaz Ankor books.
Geography: One of the options we presented last turn is to scout out and map the entirety of Karak Eight Peaks. The geography books will let us make a better map.
Mutants: One of the things we plan to do is study the effects of the Vitae on living beings, and I'm willing to bet quite a bit that mutation is one of those effects.
Guns: Study of the ratling gun and the jezzails would benefit from books on guns.
Canines: For training Wolf.

We don't even need to lie. We tell him that we want to expand K8P, and that all of our expansion will be through clan Mors, who the Dwarves dearly want to eliminate.

Asking him about Mors is what I think we should do next. The fresher the information the better so it's good to get it soon, Qrech dislikes Mors so he won't mind, and it'll justify the construction of the dungeon in case Qrech is too loyal to give us Queekish.
