On accounts of youth, there might be some issues with the experience.
But would he back a vampire with the balls to pretend to be a human pretending to be a vampire in a recursive spiral of deception?
I'm also not sure how much free will Warhammer gods actually have. Ranald isn't inherently anti-vampire by his nature in the way that, say, Sigmar is, and if you're mean you could easily say that vampires stealing the spiritual energy of their victims is a symbolic reenactment of his own ascension...
She'd probably need a divine artifact like Mathilde's own, given the limitations on divine-vampire interactions, but it is an amusing, if very unlikely idea to contemplate.

Only if the Electors are particularly foolish. They should know better than to risk the Empire becoming a hereditary monarchy.

Yeah, while it is possible she's a vampire all the signs point towards her being human. She doesn't display any vampire weaknesses despite being a position that would heavily expose her to them, didn't show a Dhar vortex, a powerful and well informed vampire told us she was human, and she has the blessing and support of a god that will not play well with some of the most basic aspects of vampirism. Any one or two of those could be explained away by her being skilled at concealing herself, lacking those weaknesses, etc, but all of them?
It's technically possible, but I doubt it.

You do realise that it currently is, right? The past three holders of the title have been Luitpold, his father and his grandfather.
Not sure on the loremaster, but I don't want the weaver just yet... I think we want to ensure the We learns "how to people" before we worry about improving their silk production.

I'd like to make an argument against the Beekeeper.
Bees aren't actually intelligent beings! They don't have a "hive mind" either. What they have is a finely crafted set of instincts and problem solving that operates by throwing bees at things to see what works. The We can think and reason and talk.
The expert Weaver is the only one who has to specialize in producing products and selling them in an every-changing market, which is what we're actually trying to educate the We on.

It's still using Dhar. Everyone would still view it as using Dhar. It's still one more step on a path I don't want to take.
There's been a straight line of Reikland emperors going back to Luitpold's grandfather. They seem to like giving it to the son unless they have a good reason not to; Dieter IV was the son of the previous emperor as well, for instance. And his Dieter-ness is what stopped that particular succession from continuing.

Not all of them actually, Ostermark is a Noble Republic with a head of state and government elected for life.
Somebody already knew that "Heidi Haupt-Anderson" was not Gabriella von Bundebad. It wasn't Abelheim's people - they were trying to work out what lineage Gabriella was.
Which leaves the question, is she really a lost Haupt-Anderson?

There are a whole range of vampiric weaknesses
I also degree that Ranald would play badly with being a vampire. The Deceiver and the Night Prowler seems very well aligned with the vampiric condition, and the Gambler would fit any risk taker, regardless of their species. Only the Protector is a problem, and that's only if the vampire is a tyrant.
That's true, which indicates that there's bene a run of foolish electors. It's an extra-strong reason for the Electors to refuse to crown another Reikland Emperor, as it doesn't take a genius to work out they're not far from making it dynastic.
What's the incentive for the Electors to keep doing this though? The Reikland Emperors have apparently been good enough at bribery to pull this off twice, but each time it should get much harder.

A Penguin Flailing Against The Keyboard Of Life.
Both versions are the same spell from the Lore of Dhar. It is a spell from the black magic spell list, it's just that it's the starscream of Dhar spells that makes all the others go away.
The Necromancy insight, on the other hand, is us knowing the exact weaknesses of any spells they cast in a way that lets us kick them in the shins.
Why not? The only god I can think of with anything intrinsically against vampires would be Morr, because they don't die. All the others just don't like them because they're total jerks, the same as all the other forces of destruction. Vampire worshipers would be very powerful and effective, though, so I don't see why a god wouldn't take one on if the vampire was willing.
They can do math, they have door guards who accept entrance fees, they can have best bee friends, and they have 'you should go to this place for more pollen' votes and stuff. Bees are smarter than I am sometimes.
The only question is how dwarves interact with them. Beekeepers just kind of gas bees and then take their honey while they're running away or going to sleep.
