I know it would be complicated but the Patrol was created by Stirland and answered to our Count up until thirty years ago so we can say with all most certainty at Talabecland got hold of it though a combination of intrigue and the fact the last bunch of Elector Counts were not very good at their jobs to say the least. We would only be getting back what was "ours" in the first place and Talabecland needs to understand that we have greater legal claim to policing the Stir River for example then they do, plus I want to put a stop to the Talabeclander habit of screwing with our province in ways both large and small.

I wonder how long the Wizard Chic gag is going to last until Mathilde finally gets an enchantment lab.
"The glassmakers have managed to mostly catch up with their backlog of orders and now merely have nothing in store. With Anton's help, you manage to obtain a looking-glass."
"A chaos cultist set off a bomb in Altdorf, destroying a store, but more importantly the blast wave echoed down the streets and now the only thing being produced is windowpanes."
"Wizard Chic is so totally over, now a bunch of the glassmakers have gone out of business."

Speaking of Talabecland, we still really need to look into Schultz. It's one thing to know where his loyalty lies, but another to know what he does. The professor was a great example of how someone could blindside us even when we know his loyalty.

While it's my personal opinion that he's going to hurt Stirland's wallet by feeding Talabecland insider trade info, I'd like to get some more insight into his character.
Ditto. But there really is so much personal stuff to get done. Look into Schultz. Meet up with Markus for training again. Get to know Gustav, maybe with a horse race. All while doing our job and our second job.

[Orders] Plan Surf 'n' Turf
[*] If we've got vampire troubles, maybe you should spend some time investigating how to counter vampiric infiltration.
[*]The Wurtbadian Watch is now your pet. Given more time, you can make it your attack dog.
[*]Write In: Given the many forms and threats of undead in the region, perhaps it might be useful to have a dedicated unit to track them down and dissect them to learn how to better kill the things, how they might form, and how they might disguise or hide their nature, so as to actually push the undead back permanently. Something like what you did together on the transformed servants, but on a bigger scale.
[*]Write In: While we're working with the Wurtbad Watch, the theft of the documents has made it clear that Stirland needs Riverwardens. That having been said, we also don't want to further alienate the veterans of the WW by forcing them to ignore Wurtbad in favor of watching the waterways, so we're asking for Van Hal's permission and Gustav's assistance to set up a province-wide network, similar to that of the Road-wardens. Except with boats.

[Orders] Plan Who Ya Gonna Call?
[*] If we've got vampire troubles, maybe you should spend some time investigating how to counter vampiric infiltration.
[*] Your intelligence infrastructure is becoming worthy of the title; perhaps you could dedicate some time to expanding it. And, ideally, Stirland could pay for it directly instead of it eating your discretionary income.

While I write the council meeting, can I please have some tiebreak votes come in?

We shouldn't be trying to buy off the shelf. We go to glassblowers, smiths and what have you and we commission the stuff we need. Nobody makes specialist stuff like we need on spec and there's only so much second hand stuff available on the market. That's why happenstance like fashion crazes can clear it out.

I would suggest we try and figure out want happened with the Stir River Patrol and how Talabecland got a hold of it before we try and set up anther group from
scratch. Because we will want to know more about the state of river traffic and legal jurisdictions before we get involved because I would like to know were we can push instead of going in blind. The goal I would shoot for would be to regain control of the Stir River Patrol for Stirland.

Turns out Anton is way better than us at this. Maybe we underestimated him? I think his facade of nonesense was purposeful to keep us off his tracks.
