"Ok people, let's all calm down! Algard get the banner, Reicthard your on fireworks duty, Mira I want spotlights everywhere, Feldman we need enough tables to seat all of the colleges, Paranoth you do the refreshments, von draken your on crowd control AND WHERE THE HELL IS OUR MAN FROM THE CELESTIALS!

we only got half a year to make this the best damn "welcome back, we missed you" party this side of lyonesse."

Dragomas approximately 0.3 seconds after learning teclis is coming.

If Teclis knows, how long until the Slann weigh in?

Doubt they will. They've got the smarts, but I don't think they have a way to monitor the flow of magic from the Old World to Ulthuan.

Boney creates compelling characters, and i believe Lizardmen would be just as compelling and richly textured as any other faction or individual in the setting. Im sure there are ways, and those ways involve us pulling narritive hooks to make them viable.

I dont expect Slann, but im certain the information can make itself known.

The thing is that the slann don't actively speak to anyone, with the vortex they just helped and if the elf's figured out the vortex is a bit more sturdy then so be it.
So for them the expansion of the network might be a thing to celebrate but it wouldn't mean they need to do anything.

if they thinks its a good shout, they might send a small bit of help our way*.

but yeah, they won't actually do anything beyond that unless something goes very wrong**.

*in the form of the geomantic web in the area getting a slight boost to efficiency or local energy density, or something like that. you know, minor magic help they can do without really having to wake up.

**slaan don't headpat. being allowed to and succeeding in working to further 'The Great Plan' is reward in and of itself to them.

I don't remember what this is about. May I please ask for the context here?
I think fishsicles might mean about her recent theological grenade thesis:

'When Teclis came to the Druids and revealed that the God they thought they worshipped was, in fact, the Green Wind of Ghyran, it shattered their faith, driving two thirds into the nascent Order of Life and the remainder into hiding. Ever since our initiate have picked at the remaining shards, seeking some inner truth to put lie to Teclis' revelation. In doing so we overlook the truth we already live, the divine mysteries we already pursue. We ignore the prayers that are our spells and the pilgrimages that are our harvests. The answer that our grandmothers should have given to Teclis all those years ago is the one I believe the Order of Life should embrace: Yes, we worship Ghyran.'

...Oh god.

Teclis about to open his damn mouth.

I hate to be that guy, but historically that doesn't end well.

I'd also hope we don't throw him a party, if he or his rep turns up they can apply to join the project like everyone else.

I also hope we don't throw him a party, but for a different reason. See, one of the things in the setting's lore that I think can blindside people is how utterly alien humans are to the other intelligent races of the setting.

Teclis: "Supreme Patriarch Dragomas? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, but I'm curious as to what happened to Volans... and the rest of my students, now that I'm looking about."

I fear that is also a problem, but for all that I think it might be I doubt Teclis would miss the fact that its been a few hundred years and he should know how long humans live.

If he does show I'm hoping he'll turn up, expect some kind of welcome back party only to find a bunch of pointedly annoyed wizards.

A lot of the "we need to do arcane mark/morbs/etc" energy in this threads, reminds me a lot about childhood memory where your parent sent message they are coming home from grocery store, as your looking around the very not-cleaned room you promised to clean.

I, uh, think those reports are also going to show a descrease in the incoming energies soon. Kislev tributaries mean more Winds blowing from the North Pole are caught by the Kislev network without passing south, which actually means less magic going into the network. Maybe it won't be a huge effect, but Kislev has a lot more territory that could have tributaries erected in them than just Stirland, and probably more casters that can be spared to do so, so it could eventually end up being more significant than the Stirland tributaries.

I think we need to immediately follow the Kislev tributaries with more tributaries in the Empire, or else elf dad might think his children accidently blew something up.

I mean personally I want to get the morbs so we can put them in a sock and bludgeon the man.

No energy is coming from Kislev already, a fact the elves are aware and annoyed by.

Yes, which means some of the Winds coming from the North Pole don't make it to the Empire and thus into the network. The Kislev tributaries mean more Winds don't make it to the Empire and thus to the network.
Given that we are currently in the red in terms of the amount of wind entering the world vs leaving it entirely at the moment, if Kislev's array is drawing away enough winds for that to be noticeable on what the empire sends then fanfuckingtastic.

Again this is a known thing for the elves and for all that they complain I think they'd prefer it to the alternative.
