Gold Wizards having steel-based spells is built on millennia of human history with steel. Unless you teach a We gold magic, that's not in the cards.

Now you got me to wonder what would be the best kind of magic to teach the We.

Shadow magic would be terrifying but then again, flying spiders with precognition powers would be rad as hell.

On the other hand, depending on how Light Magic choirs work...

I wonder how much the college's can charge for enchanted skill. That may be something we want to bring up when skill production get started. Actually what we may want to do is get a enchanting department started. Not every mage is made to be thrown out into the wild and expected to come back. Really anyone know how many die. If there was say a enchanting company that they can make money to pay back their student loans I think we have more wizards.

The We is built on a distributed intelligence.

If the ability to use magic is a mutation (or two) than would you need that mutation to appear in a single member of the We or every member of the We?

If the first, I imagine magic could only be cast by that single member, but the We as a whole would still be the acting intelligence casting it? It'd probably be very strange to learn.

It's not strictly required to go out and adventure. A Bright Wizard could make a good salary just using their magic for non-combat purposes.

I think wizards in general trend towards somewhat more ambition than that.

Would the mutation have to be in the physical body or in the soul? Each we has only one cohesive soul
And would they be able to use different bodies to have different mindsets for each wind? or would it be like us with Wolf were his mindset effected our casting of MMM?

The Colleges already have ways for suitably reputable citizens to commission enchantments, and Journeymen who don't want to adventure already can and do pick up safe jobs in the major cities.

And now i'm wondering about how would we even get the We into college apprentice program.
And how other apprentices would react to hundreds of giant spiders attending class.

Magic casting We sound terrifying. It also gave me an idea for the burgeoning Age of Sigmar army I'm making for K8P. It would be nice if I stopped getting ideas for it. I already have 42 units in mind for that little project.

A few are just hero vs hero on mount, or a unit with one weapon vs same unit except they use a very different weapon, which are considered different units but they're really just kitbashes, but it differs from army to army. Fyreslayers have a very small army, but Stormcast Eternals...

Wait a second, let me count how many Stormcast there are.

Not counting variations or unique characters, there are 52 Stormcast Units, including Hero models, which I included as well. A reminder that Stormcast are made of completely new models to Age of Sigmar. Cities of Sigmar uses old Fantasy models, so their army also has a ridiculous amount. That's because Cites of Sigmar includes Dark Elves, Wood Elves, High Elves, Empire and Dwarf models in the same army, but your choices are somewhat altered by what "City" you choose, which is effectively a subfaction that gives you special abilities and restricts your model choices.

Actually they kind of do, for the nobility, it is not widely advertised, but but came up when we dealt with the Eike situation. It is not common and it is not recommended, but the wealthy and well connected can get themselves a single teacher to teach them in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Better that than that they become Magikers and Chaos bait.
 
Hmm. Hypothetical magic we should be taught ulgu to become even more effective at hunting greenskins.
Teleporting assassin spiders are scary :V

It is not offered, it is done, under the table, and almost certainly going to lead to punishment (up to and including executions) if found out.
