@Boney , thanks a lot of the chapter, but do be careful not to overwork yourself for us please, the damn 'rona has a habit of getting better, then getting much worse sometimes.

[X] Longshanks

Soooo what's the problem? Like I get you don't like us breaking rules but this one is not only broken, this one is potty trained at this point.

Who said I had any problem? I was just pointing out that we have no way to not break with the articles if we interact with the Hedgewise, just as I pointed out that it was a common breach. Like it's fine practically but a passing 'will you join?' does not change anything.

Speaking of the Hedgewise and the articles, working with the Longshanks is probably mutually exclusive to working with the Hedgewise. The Longshanks are an official Empire organization that sometimes functions as witch hunters and the Hedgewise are unsanctioned magic users, but it's even worse than that, as the Taalites are one of the religious groups that persecutes the Hedgewise. The Hedge is said to be the boundary between civilisation and the wilderness, which the Taalites aren't fans of:
the Taalites brook no competition for the conceptual territory of the wilderness

So as an aside:

What things did the last mini arc make me want mathy to improve? (Reflexive practice being the current rage and all.)

Finish the sword style because holy fuck the enemies are getting buff and we keep picking 'sword to face' as voters.

I want to learn Cloak Activity before we meet magic dad again so he will stop using it on us.

Mathy is not as fast in an urban environment, a chasing/tracking trait for skill would be nice.

I will wait for the end of this mini-arc to see if any of those are compounded, or if different ones because more of an issue.

But this is for recording of thoughts for future.

"I appreciate the offer, though. And it was nice to spend time with you. You've grown far beyond my expectations, and you've developed skills equal to your ambitions. None could ask more of their Apprentice."
Warm fuzzies.

Johann is waiting to meet you in a tavern by the waterfront, and the ring of empty tables around his is a reminder of how he must appear to those who haven't grown accustomed to him. The golden robes of his Order would set him apart on their own, but the large golden staff, the inhuman golden claw, and the blank golden orbs of his blinded eyes set him even further apart.
The Witch Hunters are probably rather exasperated with people like Johann. Anyone with a lick of training can tell he is an Official Wizard of the Empire. But that doesn't stop ignorant civilians running to the Witch Hunters yelling about metal monsters whenever he walks into town.

Hedgewise and Ice Witches?
