How valuable is Longshanks cred?

Are they local to Talabheim or do they stretch across all of Taal's sacred sites? How many of those even are there? For a 'king of gods' Taal seems pretty firmly second fiddle to Ulric and Sigmar, but ahead of some of the others in the pantheon.
Boney sorta answered this, not exactly a census, but there are probably some Longshanks all over the place considering how much of the empire is covered by forest. And even if there aren't a lot of them having locale experts in woodcraft that you can call up is pretty valuable just for guide services.

A mgician shouldn't give away how they do their tricks. The Longshanks were visibly in at the kill - can't hide their involvement. The Order of Light and the Templars are how Mathilde knew where to look and what to look for. We don't tell people how we know stuff, we look smug and mysterious. That is the Grey way.

First priority, of course, was seeing if you could snatch a glimpse of the local Waystone nexus, but after eyeing the local leylines and consulting a map you suspect it to be the namesake of the sacred grove known as the Horn of Taal within the Taalgrunhaar Forest, and the local Priesthood is rather protective of the place.
Having the Longshanks put in a good word for us about this might not be a bad idea in the future.

[x] Yourself

Hear me out.

This is how we get Alric as a nemesis.

As established by Mathilde, the way you fuck over wizard colleagues you don't like is to solve their problems for them and then take the credit.

In an effort to outdo is Alric will be forced to take on one of our problems!

It is the perfect plan.

Would be funny if we run into Alric when we go to deal with the Forest of Shadows mystery. Accidentally end up haunting him as he scrambles across the empire trying to salvage his rep.

Let's see what Alric take over.

1 - Mentoring Eike at Ulgu. Yes, at Ulgu, we ain't going to authorize her to change order now.
2- Take over Mathilde fief, kickstart the stirland flint economy.
3- Become a Loremaster for Karak Eight Peak, suffering the grumbles of dwarves over being an unproven Umgi.
4- Become a high priest of Ranald. Ranald is amused.
5- join the Waystone project, working under Engrimm van Horstmann.
6- Become a lightning rod for slaanesh disfavor.

Edit: Alric got off lightly.
