[X] Plan WEB-MAT & Culture
I loath to postpone AV yet again, but all actions in this plan are more valuable. We should probably bring AV into WEBMAT if we want fast progress with it. (I would certainly prefer AV research to golden arm research).

I feel really bad about having screwed things up by convincing Shard to change the Max action when Boney clarified that I was wrong in my interpretation of what its value was, but given that clarification, this Max action is just better and I strongly encourage everyone voting for WEBMAT & Culture to swap. Waystone progress is more valuable than the CF of the paper.

[X] Plan Don't Ignore Engrim

Want to research divine av and not willing to put it off. Winning plan right now has no AV research for those that care.

At least until/if the first plan picks up steam.

We could put Egrimm on AV instead of the Arm? The arm's a neat opportunity but nothing resembling a priority, and bringing WEB-MAT in on AV seems like it shouldn't have the same issues that kept people from wanting to share it around before, it's our organization after all.

Besides, what's the worst that could come from introducing Egrimm Van Horstmann into the study of the warp?

Why are we having Egrimm study the Golden Arm? It's an interesting artifact, but wouldn't it make more sense to have him write papers on topics involving the Karak Vlag Expedition that he actually participated in?

I couldn't actually remember what the gold arm was, so I went I pulled up the quote for it:

The first piece that causes your eyebrows to rise is a four-fingered arm made of solid gold and covered in sigils you don't recognize. You can sense dormant power within it, and a lot of it - but too tightly contained to tell what sort, except that it's not Dhar. The fingers are razor-sharp talons and the palm has a raised circle you're sure is where that power you sense is output. But though the Norscan selling it does not seem to know anything about its magical properties, he does know solid gold when he sees it, and that puts a solid floor on the price. Eight hundred gold coins is a shockingly exorbitant price for a complete mystery and it's not like you're short of strange things to prod at, but you suppose if all else fails you could resell it for melt value.

What do people think it is? Some sort of Lizardman artefact?

Thats because AV is Bad and not worth our time, as intriguing as it can be.

You're joking right?

It's literally the stuff magic and the divine is made of and from, the idea that AV is bad and not worth our time is flat out ridiculous.

I'm very sure that exposing AV to our coin for instance will allow Ranald to act in a much greater capacity in our vicinity and empower the coin further.

While I do hear you there, I also don't want to split the vote & lose to the current second-place plan, so for now I'm approval-voting both. Depending on your own priorities I'd suggest you might want to do the same, it's currently a very tight race and there's a lot of ground to make up before the two variants are in meaningful direct competition.

On the one hand, AV is really cool, and I would really like to see more of it. On the other... elf culture. Important elf culture. I just really like it.

This is a pretty good point though. I wouldn't mind changing if someone wanted to make that.

I mean the AV plan still has a culture action in it.

[] Plan Don't Ignore Engrim
-[] JOHANN: Have Johann spend time getting to know Kadoh, who has expressed an interest in meeting the 'fist metal-Mage'.
-[] EGRIMM: Study an artefact: Golden Arm
-[] MAX: Go through every library of the Colleges you can access for any scrap of information about Waystones.
-[] Attempt to bring a Karak's Runesmiths into the Waystone Project (Karak Azul)
--[] COIN: The Gambler
-[] Furnish the living spaces of the Waystone Project HQ (600gc)
-[] Immerse yourself in the culture of the 'Cityborn' Toriour inhabitants of Tor Lithanel
-[] Investigate how the Vitae reacts with Divine Magic.
-[] EIC: Have a blackpowder factory built in Wurtbad.
-[] SERENITY: Observations of Karag Dum and its unusual guardian

The only difference between the two is forest culture vs AV and I suspect very strongly that both of the cultures will have their own sub skill.

Man, I am absolutely torn here. On the one hand, I want to see what happens when AV meets divine magic. On the other hand, I want to see Boney's fantastic elven worldbuilding.
