In all seriousness, how does no one in the entirety of three armies and multiple Magisters put a stop to their leaders randomly putting them all on a boat? Literally everyone can't have been drunk out of their minds.

Probably they're too good at looking sober when they're drunk.

If while entirely sober the three had told their troops, "Yes, since this campaign went so well and we have the spare troops and time, we're going to follow up on the Count's efforts with a full-on military intervention into Albion." then who would have thought that was an unreasonable decision?

Memery aside, they were all drunk. All of them. All the troops. The citizenry of Salkalten was not, but the entire point of the proceedings was that all the soldiers attending the celebration had a chance to get drunk out of their minds, while the Salkalten Guard made sure no one attacked them in that moment of vulnerability.

So... who has the high ground in this situation?

Is it the inevitable hangover... or is it Albion?

You said earlier that due to Magnus reorganizing the troops it took a long time for the armies to notice the heirs were missing.

I'm curious, why did the people in Salkalten not say anything about the heirs sailing away, as soon as possible? As it sounds like the Salkalten Guard watched the heirs sail away while the Salkalten Guard were completely sober.

Did Salkalten send ships to Albion after the heirs that didn't return, and that's why they delayed telling anyone immediatley?

As noted in the regular Turn Updates, there was a significantly increased amount of ship traffic in excess of the usual, both due to the decision to increase security and ship movement towards Albion as well as a majorly energetic shipping/fishing industry due to the approval of the Cult of Manann. Which was also noted, in said Turn Results, to be the reason for going 'ah, jeez, this helps explain how things got the way they did'. The Salkalten Guard are spread throughout the northern coast, they aren't actually fully restricted to just Salkalten. Ships were leaving and coming in throughout the party, industry does not cease for that sort of thing. Furthermore, the emphasis on Magnus managing a robust decentralized system means that even before the party he had orders written out and prepared for people to take and head off to do once they sobered up, then they continued communicating with one another and organizing further pushes and deployments as required by the various situations encountered. They left in a staggered hungover mass. The people of Salkalten were busy with the party, the aftermath, and the constant ships traveling this way and that.

Here are votes so far.

And as to GM comments earlier lets hope we can help push Albionese a bit when we can.

  • [X] Plan Manticore and Wolf takes Castle
-[X] The Oghams: There will be only the most elite Fimir Warriors and powerful Dirachs - or Balefiends, to use the Imperial terminology. One can apparently only even approach with a glyph of declared protection scrawled upon their person, as well as the presence of a Druid. Even worse, to get there one must try and creep through a deadly Albionese marsh to get there. Mardudd intends to join in on this effort himself. Twenty five of the best Greatswords will accompany Magnus in this, as too many bodies might ruin the entire point of attempting stealth through the marsh. None of the cavalry could even begin to try and make their way through the marsh. This will be done on foot, or not at all.
-[X] Shifted Tines: Mena and Reinhardt might be better placed elsewhere. (Castle)
    [X] Plan: Castle Strike
-[X] The Castle: The bulk of the Fimir Force will be here either within or around, as will the bulk of the assembled Albionese and Imperial forces, ready to receive the Fimir once the 'Fenbeasts' break down the gates and walls and provoke them. The currently finicky magics of the wizards may be of some use here, but Imperial steel will be of certain use. Command will apparently go to Mardudd's eldest daughter, Aberfa, as well as a number of other nobles over those who they recruited from their own holdings. The Imperials will be on the right flank, due to not quite knowing for certain just how fighting in a more integrated manner might go. The Blue Wolves will wait on the flanks along with the rest of the Albionese Cavalry.
-[X] Full Trident: Mena and Reinhardt will fight side by side with Magnus, whatever his choice.
    [X] Plan: Tridentine Pincer

Random thought but I wonder if one of the better ways to help Albion would be to get them in contact with the Dwarves. Cause runes unlike magic are reliable in the constantly shifting magic landscape and in fact are sometimes improved by it. Now I know dwarves really aren't into selling rune weapons and stuff especially not for a group of humans they had no previous interactions with so this is basically just a theoretical idea.

But just imagine a albionese clan with a banner with runes of traversal and safe passage. Suddenly all the bogs and mud don't slow them down giving them amazing mobility. Maybe even enough for them to be able to use full armor formations since the banner would prevent them from sinking into the muk.

just sending some dwarves to teach them some more advanced metal crafting, building stuff, exc would also be a big boon to them

[X] Plan: Castle Strike

Wouldn't anything the Dwarves would actually be willing to teach them even if you could get some to go there be something Ostland could handle on their own?

My personal take on events.
Ranald: "So, y'all started a giant gambling pit, which is good, and its nonlethal, which is awesome, but you wanna shut me out, which just ain't cool. I am the dread RNG!"

While a good idea, there ain't no way the dawi are gonna make runic gear for a bunch of random dudes on an island that they've never talked to

You don't buy runic stuff, you earn it.

You're right, pretty sure Freddy and Urgdug did something like that already at the first Elector's Meet in Nuln. This just the Three Heirs version of that to be totally honest. :p

Oh another note, I am curious just how many ogham stones need to be taken back for the mists to be navigable again since I doubt the Three Heirs' war party is large enough to help the Albionese take back all the stone circles in a short time. This is a more long-term goal we can support from back in Ostland with maybe sending mercs to help out.
