I am aware of the Vulcan and Human Excelsior-A builds, however those two Excelsiors are not available this deployment, as ships completing in Q4 are available for deployment in Q1. They will definitely be appreciated next year.

The task force will take time. Time that we have now, but won't have in a couple years. If we manage to ally the Dreamers in that time, we can short-circuit Breen aggression before it even happens. This is part of the strategy of "deal with problems before they become problems" that I was going on about before the Cardassians invaded Chrystovia.

We can not wait for the Breen to come out of their isolationist consolidation. Now is the time to take advantage of their consolidatory period, while it is happening, not later after it is over.


Don't let problems pile up because they aren't emergencies. THAT was the essential lesson of the last year, as a whole.

I look at the map, and think that the first quarter of Righteous will probably be just all ships getting there. Damn they are far away.

Would probably have events like normal and those would include ones that count as Distant Stars progress though. Even if all we're doing is dropping subspace relays.

Also a chance we'll witness the ongoing war firsthand. Should be interesting no matter what.

e: It's kind of like a 6x Stargazer combo...

Ar we getting officers/TF attachments that used to serve in the federal five in the coming years now those navy's are being merged with ours?
SWB maybe add -Lt. Cmdr. Sadd-Har's Cadet Field Training Team: 3pp on purchase, 3 pp per year. Effect: Increased experience gain for missions involving S rolls. to dreaming as the kepler is going to make a lot of S checks there and it is only 3PP. If you add it swap the gaeni centaur for a federation one in chorus as i think only federation ships get XP in our TF's

Ok, I fail at reading comprehension. Beyond & Royal only lose one ship each in SWB's plan and all but the Hishmeri TF (good riddance) are intact. I thought the damage was far worse.

Even if it takes the quarter, I imagine their arrival will make...something of an impact, and likely be received in grand, if a little worried, fashion. Six Excelsiors is about as many as we've ever had in one place. We had five Excelsiors over Kadesh and that was every Explorer in Starfleet at the time, and we committed six total to the GBZ before Second of 24 Enio. This may genuinely be the largest single Excelsior deployment in one place, I'd have to go back and check whether we committed all six at Second of 24 Enio. It's almost certainly tied for the honor if it doesn't have it.

We can affiliate the Dreamers with a mere Diplomatic push. I don't see why there's a particular need to get them as allies at the cost of other stuff. And there will be a cost.

YOU CAN HAVE YOUR SPACE WHALES THIS YEAR WITHOUT A TASK FORCE.

I mean, the whole point of the new regime is "what's that? poking an affiliate in a vaguely hostile manner? Commander, deploy the fleet, we need to bitchslap someone", so if they're close enough to affiliation...
