[X] Plan: SCREW YOU EVIL DAD! C Variant
Wow that is... that is quite the combo for a Chapter meant to defend the Segmentum solar, so unfortunately we got the Gaze of the Eye and get the Paranoia that the Iron warriors have but we managed get Siege masters for free due combo of the Geneseed linage we used and the world we placed them on. So that's a plus and we got Increased Replenishment which is going to help a lot and explains quite a bit about the Iron Warriors. Considering this it'll be easier to replace losses I assume they will be dealing with as the Chapter to defend this area of the Imperium.Traits
Gaze of the Eye: This Chapter can see the Eye of Terror from nearly any place in the galaxy, even if there is no logical way it could possibly be visible.
Siege Masters: This Chapter has an innate mastery of siege warfare, be it as the defenders or as the assailants. (Free due to chapter/world combo).
Increased Replenishment: This Chapter's Gene-Seed is blessed with being compatible with a far wider range of candidates, both increasing recruitment and improving the odds of the implantation surgery being survivable. As a result, it can replace it's casualties at a much higher rate than normal for a Space Marine Chapter.
OHHHHH, okay that Increased Replenishment is critical and key to them considering these two traits and... to be honest this kinda the best combo to get. Legendary Spite will cause them to make enemies and lose more Space Marines to prove a point or accomplish the objectives or kill enemies they have no right to in order to spite them and get good stats/skills from pushing themselves in it. Now Legendary Spite WOULD be a major problem to a normal 1,000 limit Space Marine Chapter if it wasn't Double Sized to 2,000 and having Increased Replenishment trait to be compatible with a wider range of candidates then normal.Legendary Spite (Legendary): This chapter's sheer spite is the stuff of legends. On the negative side of things, it can lead to them making many enemies or over focusing on certain foes. However, it conversely also enables them to push towards feats of skill, ingenuity, and sheer physical capability that other Astartes may find hard to match out of sheer refusal to give their enemies the satisfaction.
Double Sized: The Chapter is twice the size of the average Space Marine Chapter, with a total of 20 Companies instead of the 10 laid out by the Codex Astartes, due to the unique demands of the Truy system. (Free due to mandate and world combo)
Wow, now THAT is something I didn't expect to see. Not the Guard Affinity trait but the fact it's on a Iron Warrior Loyalist Chapter that is Legendary Spiteful and double the size of normal chapters and being able to replace their losses far easier. You would think that would entail cold thinking and just not caring of losses of the 'mortals' or Imperial guard because they can take the losses. It doesn't say they are friends but more they work well with them and to a degree understand them.... I guess being stationed in a world under constant assault from Orks and building and manning fortresses there and countering attacking and siege them kinda is the average Imperial Guard experience. Its not like the high pace, blood pumping action that is Space Marine strike forces and the like. This Chapter has been rolled to dig in and take the long grinding approach to things and expect losses as they can be replaced.Guard Affinity: This chapter has an affinity for the mortal soldiers of the Imperial Guard, and works well with them.
Artillery Masters: This chapter has masterful knowledge of indirect fire weapons, and can employ them to great effect.
Hah, Grimm does fun humor to stay sane and to find some kind of joy in his work. I do like how Grimm comes to the choices we make in plans and the first thought of why choosing the Iron Warrior would be any kind of threat that punches this deep into the Heart of the Imperium is going to be one to cause a lot of losses, so instead of ultra elite Troops to break them at first contact, he goes with a Chapter meant to block them, drag them down and get them stuck as they grind them down and expecting the losses coming from it so a few battles don't reduce the Chapter to combat ineffective. If your memories of the Siege of Terra, as well the general state of Segmentum Solar, are any indication then any chapter in charge of defending Solar is going to have to deal with casualties.
…. A lot of casualties.
As a result of this the Iron Warriors Gene-Seed is the ideal choice, for it's comparatively rapid replacement rate will allow the Chapter to make up for their losses and still fulfill their duties.
Oh, and because you find the idea funny. One must find humor where they can if they wish to avoid utter insanity in your line of work, after all.
Hmmmm... a correction to that internal assertion. One needs to find humor where they can if they wish to go even more insane than being in this line of work already requires.
Honestly we have an extra equipment charge and the Chapter is double sized. Just get the Extra Rhinos and Heavy weaponry, the equipment best for this chapter.Normal Equipement Options
[ ] Extra Assault Packs: The Chapter has a great number of Assault Packs, letting them retain a greater number of Assault Marines in each Company.
[ ] Heavy Weaponry: The Chapter is well supplied with heavy weaponry, and can field a larger proportion of Devastator squads.
[ ] Specialist Ammo: The Chapter has a ready source of specialized bolter rounds, letting them bring the best possible ammunition for any engagement.
[ ] Extra Rhinos: Though many would call them simple metal boxes, the Rhino is a capable transport and this Chapter has some to spare.
OOC: Special thanks to me beta reader for looking this chapter over.
pfffft, they are kinda suited to this. Legendary Spite is just too on the nose for this not to be liken to dwarves. Please, please give them their own Book of Grudges so they can keep an accurate shit list.
indeed, it'd be funny if they were on the short side for Marines and be the Dwarves of the Space Marines. I doubt it but its a fun thought.Pffffff hahahahahahah! Okay...I remember often comparing Iron Warriors to Dawi Zhar of 40k...this here...would make them Dawi of 40k (not counting Squats and League of Voltan).
Yahhh with that trait it would be something that sucks and having to deal with that would be exhausting. Poor Aspirants.Aspirant waking up
Aspirant: Hey what's that?
Doctor: Ah that's a portal to hell that endless hungry gods lay.
Aspirant: ah ok, when does it go away?
Doctor: That's the neat part it doesn't.
Aspirant: ah.
I mean, that would be a legit coping mechanism that would justify the booze.Astarte 1 *slurring*: Brother can you still see the eye?
Astarte 2 *also slurring*: A bit.
Astarte 1: Me too, another round of drinks then.
Ahhhh, so that was really low chance of flaws. and What the Hell? its that bad? I guess the Black Rage and Red Thirst due to the Psychic backlash from HawkBoy's death. I didn't realize it was that bad.... Dear Lord what would a Blood Angel Chapter having all three of them be like?To put the sheer unlucky nature of this on display their was only a 5% chance of it happened.
To put other flaws in perspective the Black Rage and Red Thirst each have a 95% chance of showing up and Lamentors luck also has a 5% chance.
Good thing you guys also rolled legendary spite at the same time.
hahaha, that's one way of keeping them loyal, just being angry and spitting the Ruinous powers non-stop. that might be actually annoying and irritating for the Ruinious powers because of it. Go for it QM its always nice to slide in something silly into 40k.It's actually a self reinforcing loop of hating Chaos because the Eye is always visible so they always remeber to keep being mad at it.
Still this combo does let me do something silly I wasn't expecting to be able to do.
Oh sweet, can we roll those for other chapters as well? or just this one? It's not guaranteed to result in alcohol or at least specific alcohol but I could make a list of copeing mechanisms and have one of ya roll with it to see what ya get.
huh, very interesting choices, personally I hope for Brewing, Carpentry, or stone masonry. Now Baking is something for a crack version or if you were putting them into TTS Emperor. I think the Dark Peregines would be the best ones for bakery just for the contrast .Ok putting up the cope table.
1: Brewing alcohol
2: Making chocolate
3: Carpentry
4; Reading
5: Writing
6: Weaving
7: Practicing marksmanship
8: Stone masonry
9: Bakery
10: Pottery
Someone roll a d10.
Andddd we we got Pottery, I guess it works well when considering the homeworld of Perturabo was Greco-Roman so Pottery is a nice culture thing for them. And these are Space Marines making them so those pots are gonna be like five or six feet.... you know you can still make wine in those Pots. just saying.
I'd imagine that would be sneaking into the Fortress Monastery, finding a vault or entire area with pottery and confused by it and pulling off a domino chain and breaking a great many pots or a fight spills over to that section and for each pot broken the chapter Space Marines gain +0.1 bonus that stacks against the enemy fueled by spite.Pottery.
Guess we'd better hope no chaos version of Link shows up then.
Or just an elder version really.
I don't think these guys would be very happy with rampant pot smashing after all.
Sorry about that. I'm not the best when it comes to these sort of things. I will try better next time.Again, just not a fan of the color schemes on display. Tried to get some Spite into the Motto, but I'm not sure it works.
I'm more concerned about the trying to abbreviate the name you chose for the chapter.Sorry about that. I'm not the best when it comes to these sort of things. I will try better next time.
Nope![X] Plan Troy v2
If Grimm makes a habit of encouraging Chaplin-heavy chapters will that be considered low-key embracing the Imperial Cult?
I always find it funny that their holy book was written by a person they all call a heretic.but boi oh boi he is not going to be happy that the way they choose to worship the emperor was using Lorgar's book.
Oh. I just got what you were trying to say. My bad.I'm more concerned about the trying to abbreviate the name you chose for the chapter.
Just edit one of those words and it should be fine it's an easy mistake to make.
