Super Robot Quest

And configuring fighter jets. don't forget them. They are important too. That does make me wonder though. what would an F-22 look like if it could configure like the Veritech does? No I am not an F-22 fanboy. How dare you cast aspersions on my character. Its not like the F-35 is a waste of parts and is basically junk no matter what the Military types say about it. While the F-22 is the new Cadillac of the skies. No not at all.

Like so?

@Basarin Does the F-22 Raptor exist in universe? If so can we have an option for requisitioning one to find out if we can turn it into a transformable Mecha fighter jet ala ROBOTECH! because why not?

@Anime_Fan35

As far as you all are concerned, it's literally a museum piece. Even the modern day fighters that are in use by the Defense Force are going to run rings around the thing.

I'll let you all look at older equipment on the same basis that some of you want to look at old space shuttle engines. But some of these things might just be more trouble and resource intense than they're worth.

...So we can look into making a modernized, jet powered, flying tank? Centurion optional, although having a literal tank as a helicopter would probably have the EUDF wondering if they had the niche to use it...

Just found and read through this over the last two days on and off.

And all I can say is a Look forward to the physics violating Science!
SCIENCE!

to... Okay, damnit I think they're breaking through all the walls now...

Back on topic, I await the continuing physics violations by our scientists. If there aren't any, I expect that is because they've taken a break so the engineers can turn the scientific theories causing reality to need therapy to became reproducible machines causing reality to need therapy.

Well, that or just getting reality drunk enough it goes 'What the hell!' and allows that sort of thing to happen from now on.

@Pyro Hawk

Welcome aboard! And you're in the right spirit of things anyhow. :p

Given that this is a Super Robot quest that pays homage to the ridiculousness of the era of Mazinger and Getter Robo, scientific laws are more of a guideline than anything.

I'll see about getting an interlude out today, but no promises there. If not, expect some by this upcoming weekend.

I hope everyone had a good New Years. :)

ooooooooooohohohoho

you'd think that, wouldn't you

but once we get the rocket engines, i have a certain few schemes that i intend to push forward towards get a proper Combiner-esque build going.
Rocket engines would be one big determinant yes.
As it turns out one of the major flaws of being slow and lumbering isn't so big a flaw when you can rocket boost into range and then muscle them to stay in range.

...You know one of the SR staples that I haven't seen from any of the SRs from any faction? Rocket Punches, we need to be the first to use Rocket Punches.

Edit: Given that we've gone the combiner route we even have a good excuse for them to return automatically.

pretty sure one of the other Super Robots might be doing that already since they have been around longer than our own program.

I was rewatching a certain Macross episode and Had a hilarious thought. We should build a Super Robot mech that has a Macross Missile massacre type weapon installed.

Slightly off-route I think. Our weapon tech focus seems to be based on mainly energy weapons, psi-trained material and super materials, i.e. our missile storm options are pretty poor because basically all our weapon materials requite some reusability since our commander is a Logistician and really would rather not deal with keeping in supply of a large number of complex, delicate, single use munitions.

The Itano Circus is more a Westphalian strategy. People without much in the way of advanced science and engineering but DO wield the Power of Dosh to acquire and stay equipped with large numbers of expensive oneshot munitions.

...hmm. No. That doesn't really work. No one's besides Kat and the others are going to know how to read that. Let's try that again...

"The Lair," Engineering Bay

There we are! Much better.

So! This will be my first official log as the "Oracle Matrix" assigned to "Legio Galbinus," representing the Mekaen Dominion and led by Galbinus-R. I'm sorry if this log looks kind of sloppy to anyone else who read this, but I'm only dedicating a percentage of processing to fill this out - the rest of me's integrating with the Legion Enclave. Herald's trying to get me up to speed on strengthening against remote Free Brother attack, Hotwire's wanting to get our communications nodes strengthened, Dr. Ignatov is also trying to run some last minute diagnostics and I swear I'm fine, geez!

And-oh, hang on.

Adriana. I lover her to pieces, but she really,
really needs to learn when to calm down. >_<#

But that's better. I've reorganized Herald's defense schemes - seriously, does he not know how to organize? There was a whole 3.2229% he could have improved here! - Hotwire's got the right schematics to restore communications properly, maybe even enough to punch through the Free Brothers jamming! No, I'm not sure why he's just standing there gobsmacked - yes, Herald, that's a word. And - Architect, be with you in a moment -

But I'm not blaming any of the mechs here for slacking on this. This really
is work for an Oracle Matrix! They've had to make do without someone dedicated to these individual jobs, and the Institute would have been far behind in the dust without Kat and the others. Kat's always running around the Institute helping anyone and everyone, Ivanna's constantly trying to keep the researchers on track (bless her, she tries), Lana's...grumpy, and always arguing with Jiro, but I think they'll be good friends, really! And even Adriana keeps shady and unwanted people out...she also keeps the people who are supposed to be here out...but that's another story.

What else? Oh, right.

So Patch is considering me fit for duty in about...a month, if I'm translating the words right. I'm more or less fully online and ready to go, and everything else is a formality at this rate. But Patch wants to give me a month to integrate between the DFRI and the Enclave, and both Galbinus and Major Devin are fine with it. Besides, I'll need to study up on the Oracle Matrix that's still sided with Tyrannous...

...okay. Seriously. I might be an Oracle Matrix, but even I find these names silly. Who names themselves "Tyrannous?" Did you catch an old TV radio wave and decided 'Hey, I'm going to call myself an evil tyrant!" ? You're both evil
and you have no taste. Terrible, just terrible.

...anyway. My opposite's apparently been maintaining a communications block over all Dominion encryption keys. Hotwire's been trying, but he didn't have an Oracle to help him really identify what the Free Brothers were doing, so he's just been trying to brute force it in the hopes that this time he might get through. But now that we know what they're doing, and with the Institute and my sisters helping out, I just might be able to help punch through and get a distress and report signal back to the Dominion.

It might not be that simple, though. I'm not done analyzing what the original dropship can do - heck, there's still mountains of data to go through. It might take me a whole day! But I'll figure it out. I have some pretty big shoes to fill, but I'll do my best!

This is Delphi, signing in for the first time! Looking forward to working with you, everyone!

1 Turn Remaining
Delphi is effectively online! The Legion will be much more effective at combating the Free Brothers! Galbinus is quite satisfied.
End-game Objective Identified!

well! Delphi is certainly Lively isn't she?;) If Delphi does manage to break through the jamming we might get Kausen backup from their home world or we might not. but either way we have just significantly increased the Legion's ability to fight back against the free brothers. As for the end game objective. We all know what that one is so I wont say anything more on it.

Wew lad

Thats a new one.
i know right? dealing with 1 measly spaceship doesn't feel appropriate for an end game objective for the DFRI. if this was legio galbinus quest, yeah, i could see it, but for us it just doesn't feel right, i'd be mid game at most if it were up to me. is not a proper end-game if we don't go full super tengen toppa gurren lagann vs anti spirals at least once

Diana is missing in Delphi's assessment, poor Diana...

Unrelated to anything but due to this thread I watched SSSS Gridman and it was great. So thanks for mentioning it (Can't wait until it appears in SRW, preferably with Brave Might Gaine).
