That's just asking for it to be stolen and turned into an evil copy that we'll have to fight the death with....I know this thought is simultaneously out-of-genre and incredibly resource-intensive, but building backups for our robots (example: another Beowulf) would let our pilots switch out when their machines are down for repairs.
Stop threatening me with a good timeThat's just asking for it to be stolen and turned into an evil copy that we'll have to fight the death with.
Oh, you mean like the problems the Getter team keeps having? (How many Getter vs. Getter fights are there in that franchise again?)That's just asking for it to be stolen and turned into an evil copy that we'll have to fight the death with.

Had a thought after reading that post about Ground Pound. @Basarin would giving that program samples of the Zirvitium armor be a good idea? Given that that program is going for a melee brute force option, the armor might be a good idea for them to use to armor their mech. I know they have Nano tech and a new power source but they still need a source of heavy duty super alloy Armor.Looking forward to when Ground Pound gets some results from their new pet scientists, because tech exchange is a perfectly valid way to power up our designs. I mean, I dunno how they'd react to us using cloned kaiju hide for cushioning (I have a paranoid streak so I may or may not be projecting here), but the Zirvitium? Everyone knows that any good Super Robot (especially a tanky one like they're trying for) needs a superalloy or two!
Well, it'd probably be more efficient to ask the Mercury V team for their notes on their own attempts to do this exact thing.Given what we know of Kaiju bio-tech, what's stopping us from developing Cryo-weapons so the Super Robots can freeze them alive for easier harvesting?
Also, on rereading the visit to Aberdeen, I feel like Gus and his team are expies too. I didn't make the connection until the mention of Phil being muffled into incoherence, but from there it was pretty clear who Gus is (unless I'm mistaken).
Right, this.I'll let @Not in Person answer that one. And yes, gaining new advisors as you mentioned is not something I would offer every turn for that very reason. (My turn drafts would take forever for one)
Having him actually admit that those guys are, indeed, the expies I saw them as (albeit not saying the source's name flat-out, which I will follow his lead on) reminded me of this, which brings to mind the question of what the cap for AI advisors will be, because obviously there'll be one as a sanity check to prevent us attempting "do everything" shenanigans from a different angle.I'll let @Not in Person answer that one. Jiro has not only successfully integrated the Steeds as the standardized Super Robot cockpit unit,
Uh, forgive me for this question, my reading comprehension is on the low at the moment.
Does this mean that the Steeds can now function as a cockpit for future Super Robots? Or does it mean that the current Super Robot cockpits will be replaced by a Steed?
Bruh, I'm pretty sure that Adrianna failed each and every normal recon roll that she ever did and followed it up by succeeded on the bonus one. What the hell.
Think we need one more d6 here. Should have been 4d6.Triple Combination - Prototyping w/Faedium proto-sample
Assigned: Wilde and Henry, Katarina
- Wilde and Henry: Gain +1d6 to Triple Combination
- Katarina: Gain +1d6
Duration: Three Turns
Rolling at extreme Advantage (2d6, +1d6 from Wilde and Henry, +1d6 from Katarina), Threshold Unknown: 6, 5, 2
Did they run into problems? Absolutely. Did it get results? Very much so. Two Turns Remaining - One Turn reduced for Faedium.
