Super Robot Quest

Ya know, seeing as all the other series around are in there mid to late seasons, I gotta wonder about us...

We're like that side rumor heard by the pilot and/or mentioned in a news report that people gloss over, until suddenly out of nowhere a new Super Robot just pops out and saves the first Bot, and then demonstrates all kinds of incredible abilities, with support from conventional forces, and being a Government unit...

If people watching the other series in this verse Don't think we're secretly a Big Bad, I will eat my hat.

We so perfectly fit the stereotype of overly helpful yet secretly evil givernment villain, I wouldn't be surprised if we get infiltration attempts from the other Super Robot teams. Or something like that...

We need a Fauxchan post about this, desperately. Or a Negaverse omake where one of the other Super Robot teams heads about the Jackal, and the mysterious DFRI that's pumping out look quality Super Robots.

They're reactions would be Golden.
When making Negaverse omakes it is important to remember that there is a specific factor in play: fog of war. We don't know what their full arsenal holds, and they don't know what our stuff can do (other than the Jackals, seeing as since they're now active deployment everyone can easily nick a few) or what we have salvaged so far.

So don't get cocky kid. The other side isn't there to reflect our glory.

But I'm not asking for a Negaverse or our enemies. I'm asking a Negaverse of the other two Super Robots, and whatever kind of briefing they'd get.

The Saberface in Europe would probably get some kind of board room meeting with the commander, and they're personal fellows. Probably be a bit of a stuffy atmosphere, broken up by some of the characters refusing to be serious.

Other one would be with the good Doctor, explaining to his young pilot and others the newest force for potential good in the world, and the pilots rebuttal of government forces given how uselesss they've been so far against Doctor Sheol.

True. Of course, they have their own plans and designs for the future, and we wouldn't know of them. Which would definitely affect their reactions in private.

Which is why I wanted a type of Briefing screen Negaverse omake. Have the pilots get a data dump about the new kids on the block, and maybe some shady exposition stuff.

I still fully expect the European pilot is Saber with a name change to hide her identity, and the Japanes pilot is some random high schooler who fell into the robot while running from the first Kaiju attack and has been rolling by on momentum and what training he can get with his awesome Super Robot.

Well, I do hope someone gets the bright idea (like Sasaki's AI aide) of using the heavy-duty catapult for launching not just aircraft.

Launch Catapult + Tough Super Robot + RAMMING SPEED + Altitude = "Isaac Newton is still the deadliest bastard around"

CP_trainsawlaser but the trains turn into gaint robots.

TRAIN RAIN

Just throwing this idea at the wall to see if it sticks

In the future we could have FOUR different Super Robots.

The first is based off @Alectai three core robots idea.

The second is an evolved form of the Pegasus that can transform into a super robot with the main goal of tracking down Westphalian.

The third is a giant mobile transport that can carry a whole army unit or something and transform into a super robot with the goal of tracking down the free brothers

The final one would be a giant submarine with the main goal of tracking Dr. Sheol and intercepting kaju before they reach a city.

Edit: they might be able to combine into a final form for the season final or something like that.

1) We're a government establishment, so we automatically can't be trusted at first glance. No matter how stereotypical that is.

2) As of the moment, we're the most secretive of all Super Robot groups, so another point towards "cannot be trusted".

Missed one or should I say

3) Our base, the ex-University campus run by Corporate Organization, was clearly up to some shady, most likely unethical, practices. Combined with our origins as a Secret, Government Program, then clearly we must have been bankrolling those actions. Or we have taken over those practices. Or even profiteering at whatever happened in the past in present day society.

Well, a launch catapult is basically a gentler railgun.
The problem is more with the mech durability than the catapult launch power.

We could probably reinforce mechs with a one-shot Distortion Field which acts as the "shell" for the "railgun".

But until we get that technology to a cheaper level, it would end up being a very extravagant "air bag", and we could instead use that for surviving enemies.

As for the Kausen, all I'll tell you is that Galbinus' crew made planetfall right around the time you were holding your first interview with Peters. The fight at Grand Coulee would have been the mid season 'oh shit son' big fight, and the first season would be winding down right around now.
I have a feeling this show is much more character-focused, and/or full of Slice Of Life shenanigans.

Tron...Well, that would have given people an idea of what to expect out of her, if the relevant series weren't ancient.
All I'm seeing is a pretty avatar picture. It might or might not represent the original character's personality.

Also, a quick sneakpeak of something coming up. This one took awhile, but he's doing good work on it (he's not finished yet).
I started to analyze what robot this is (Phalanx, Consul or something else), and only then noticed that the name is on the spoiler.

The newly created Pegasus, you can say with confidence, has no equal that exists in the world yet, and certainly none within its class in the EUDF. Originally intended to just be a mobile command and control center with old legacy features from the Stork-class, your team had gone completely overboard when presented with the opportunity to create something unique and new.
The show's subtitle is clearly "Pegasus no Tsubasa"

Now, Mercury V first emerged in 14 June, A.D. 2069. In classic Go Nagai fashion, when a kaiju was about to stomp through Kyoto, Mercury V emerged from Mt. Atago and proceeded to beat the everloving crap out of the kaiju. From that point on, Sheol's been focusing much more on Asia out of a grudge. I'd say the producers would be just about to wrap up Season 1 any day now.

The season's finale will be quite a surprise when Japan is not attacked for once, forcing the cast to decide whether to deploy into dishonorabru foreign land and potentially leave Japan open for an attack, or not. Then suddenly the strange Americans deploy their own super-robot that is also not an American stereotype with a giant hat and enormous revolvers.

As it is, it really doesn't have time to wander out, since Koenig really has it out for Valiant. That said, your removal of Warlord has caught his attention.

Koenig was a RL inventor by the way.

"I am only speaking the basic truth," Patch huffed as he took hold of the offered cables, and immediately adding the mess to the reassembly of the turret. "Objectively, our systems are more efficient."

How many millennia of tech difference do we have with the Kausen?

"Or a lunar colony," Henry added,

In before a secret and evil human party is hidden in the dark side of the moon.

In a fit of shuddering, the Bulwark slowly began to rise. The front sets of armor and treads slowly unfolded into the arms as the frontal armor folded downwards to become the torso. The turret, interestingly enough, folded towards the opposite direction to form the back of the torso as the legs unfolded from the rear, pausing only to detach the main cannon towards the right arm. Finally taking two steadying steps, the chassis stood at attention; the test process had only taken about ten seconds.

Finally, our first mech with a built-in weapon.

Gained new chassis! Pending name, 'Consul' or 'Centurion' has been suggested.

Centurion sounds better.

"I can scarcely imagine what sort of effect this is going to have on the Kausen. Will they retain their individuality? Or will they have difficulty remembering who they are?"

It's okay, they're not whiny teenagers but giant robots.

Dr. Rin Yukimura can best be described by Wallflower as tired. Two years of 'round the clock preparations against the next Kaiju attack is clearly taking its toll on the older man, but he's gamely hanging in there. He apologized for just how many barriers of security they had to pass - they passed no less than three checkpoints armed to the teeth and several automated sentry turrets - but he revealed a detail that took even Anna by surprise.
Dr. George Sheol was fond of sending human-sized abominations as 'infiltrators' to try and make life extremely difficult for the Yukimura Institute.

It seems not-Hell is smarter than I thought, if he can do subtle.
You also use "gamely" a lot.

nd Yukimura began to espouse, in classic lecturer style, the principles behind the Aeon Particle Theorem, the very thing that makes Mercury V possible...

We should "borrow" the blueprints of that robot in order to improve our future SR one. It's for the greater good!

curity Net as high as it's going to get for a long time. Infiltration no longer a viable possibility.

It will help with the inevitable not-SEELE assault.

K-Circuits, you decide, are going to be standard issue.

Who was saying that thing about riding on Sheol's coattails?

Still, you have other options to pursue. But not much. A tracked vehicle such as the Buckler, and something as heavy as the Perseus, might just have to settle for something lighter. Not something to give it increased armor or stature like the Timberwolf does for the Beowulf; the Perseus doesn't need it.
What it does need is armaments. As Henry said, if you're going to capitalize on a strength, double down on it. As crazy as it sounds, Wilde and Henry are eyeing the Jackals and the V-33s as candidates as well...

We need a heavy bomber to help here, preferably a stealth one.

She's certainly got the right mindset where she's working.

Aaw, no Mega yet. That one will be the AI pilot.
Hopefully not Zero though, as that one is fond of randomly dying half of the time.

Currently dubbed the 'Tertius' configuration, it promises to be the forerunner for a brand new class of Mecha for the EUDF.

What about "Turtle" for a cuter codename?

Still, if ground-based vehicles aren't cutting it, perhaps aerial based ones will. Henry is suggesting the V-33, giving that now venerable frame even more utility.

Wilde is suggesting, half-jokingly, they should just 'stuff the damned thing in the Pilum and call it a day.' Interestingly enough, Henry isn't dismissing that idea...

But what if the Pilum also transforms into a giant robot?

nd their patented (seriously, they patented it) configuration hardpoints.

We ought to sell these for some extra RP.

he composition itself serves to reduce friction, but Henry determines that the K-Circuits already do a decent job of what this composition was trying to do. You could look further into it, but you already have something better.

Interesting. Possibly more evidence that the Westphalians have something from Sheol.

The K-Suit, as Sam has dubbed it, is functional. He seems fairly puzzled, as that's as far as he went. From everything he's been able to determine, it serves as a very functional suit of armor. Lightweight, flexible, and decently tough, capable of withstanding small arms fire and piercing shrapnel for a limited time. It could even be forged the same way as K-Scale, complete with shock therapy to encourage a humanoid growth pattern.

So, a Guyver suit prototype.

K-Suit unlocked! New Kaiju Biotechnology Action Unlocked!

As well as the future Plugsuit. Female models will probably include optional "skimpy versions" for merchadising.

Like, someone uses dynamite to blow up a car, but oops turns out technician was able to efficiently salvage the car. Now, the guy wants to blow up the car a second time, but he can't because he already used up the dynamite.

What about that anti-Kaiju barrier? Thankfully it will not be relevant until we assault Sheol's base.

Also, a quick sneakpeak of something coming up. This one took awhile, but he's doing good work on it (he's not finished yet).

Wow, looks cool! Although I don't like the Gundam-style antenna. Do you have someone working the robot designs for you? Having one for the Dropship would be a good thing in the future.

Shame it's not Chariot.

Can even utilize Shards."

Which we haven't researched yet, somehow.

The result was a hull that greatly resembled a flying heavy cruiser of the twentieth century. With a structure full of harsh angles that a Naval Defense Force sailor could appreciate, the rather massive dropship still had a menacing profile to it.

So, lots of dakka then?

"Yeah, yeah," you grumble. At least you have something substantial to show to Peters if she asks where the heck those resources actually went. It's a little hard to brief to a brigadier general, "We were constructing a flying drop ship of doom and destruction from discount parts because we could," but maybe she'll believe that when she actually sees it.

Watch out she doesn't demand us to make a bigger and better one for next year.

We could do that though.

With a mecha-mode.

Created the Pegasus-class Dropship!
-Can carry 1 Core Unit (w/1 Combine Formation support) and 1 Support Unit for Free.
-Bigger Guns: Every three turns, the Pegasus may initiate a Heavy Weapon Strike. Automatically equips the most recent Heavy Weapon you have developed (such as the Energy Blaster) at no cost.
-Can remain mobile even while deploying units.

Can it be targeted by enemy attacks though?

Upon thinking about it more, catapults are more useful if we want to launch any of our Mecha in their Humanoid forms, especially from mid-air.

Too bad that using it offensively was part of the roll results we didn't get.

There may or may not be an ancient conspiracy that controls the government, is responsible for all bad things in the world, is planning a bizarre apocalypse/forced uplifting to become literal Gods out there and have bullshit hax technology...

But that's probably too absurd to believe, right?

The Saberface in Europe would
I still fully expect the European pilot is Saber with a name change to hide her identity,

Oh god, no more Fate stuff please. The forum barely survived the Madoka craze, no need to shoehorn this show into every damn quest FFS. Besides, I bet the pilot of the other mech is actually Sanders himself.

The final one would be a giant yellow submarine with the main goal of tracking Dr. Sheol and intercepting kaju before they reach a city.

Fixed. I like the idea.

Edit: they might be able to combine into a final form for the season final or something like that.

That one will be space-capable as well, unless we weaponize a space shuttle at some point too.

Koenig was a RL inventor by the way.

Koenig is also a common enough name. RL inventor, basketball player, professor of architecture, etc.

Mander is a bit more out there, but I went out of my way for an obscure reference. Looking back, I'm not sure why, but there you are. :p

Do you have someone working the robot designs for you?

It's the same guy who did the design for the Jackal, Daniel Khanna. I commissioned one more, and he just finished up the coloring for the Timberwolf. Personally, I'm pleased with it; it's very appropriate for a pseudo-Brave design.

That said, I'm going to ease up on the commissions for now. I think the Timberwolf's a decent enough place to stop (stuff's expensive, dontchaknow).

Oh boy there's humanoid infiltration Kaiju walking around, we're gonna need to step up our security soon cause you know that Sheol is gonna be mighty interested in us once we break his toy.

Wow, that sounds cool and of high quality. *Checks* Ouch, 30-60 $ per picture. Not cheap indeed.

present the completed Timberwolf art, also by Daniel Khanna. This is the Timberwolf as it was during its combat against Bandit (hence it still retaining the old desert color schemes).

I don't like the little antennae thing and you could say it's somewhat derivative, but that's intentional in-universe.
Also, be careful to not to spend too much RL money for your quest.

Oh boy there's humanoid infiltration Kaiju walking around, we're gonna need to step up our security soon cause you know that Sheol is gonna be mighty interested in us once we break his toy.

I like how you consider we'll win the incoming battle for sure.

At this point we are rapidly starting to become a Hornets nest for our enemies. We have already been attacked once and the Westphalians underestimated us that time. They wont do it again and their silence in Europe worries me.

Once the veil of secrecy goes down and we become public we are going to become a target for them and Sheol is probably going to send one of his Kaiju at us to gauge our threat level.

Than there is the Freedom brothers and their leader. depending on when they world learns of Galbinus and his men's existence like I have said before. Tyrannus will probably organize his men and attack us to get at Galbinus and his men never mind the fact that we are now in the middle of a heavily armed and fortified base which is also the center of our super robot research organization.

One of the minor threats is General Armstrong. I Caution the rest of you from underestimating that guy. He wont take our reveal and overshadowing him lightly if at all. I fully expect him to try to take our project over any way he can for more glory for himself.

And then there is the Artifact that we have hanging over the Cafeteria door. It already responded to one of our people but we don't know that yet. I am wondering if it was the object that collided with the Station where Galbinus and his group were fighting the freedom brothers. I really wish we had more options to study that thing since its probably from a whole other species which is my current theory about it.

The Timberwolf looked awesome even though it also had the head of a Gundam with its antenna.

No shit. Don't worry, we (or at least I) mostly bust his balls for comedic purposes.

I am fully aware that he will become a problem. Name because he probably has some really hard coded loyalty with the rest of the EUDF, while we're kind of an upstart group. If he wanted to, he could probably leverage a lot to at least force BG Peters into a corner.....that or just launch his own coup, but that's a bad idea with us around.

But, one major problem at a time. If we try to tackle everything, Devin's going to break down and we don't need him becoming Gendo.

We need a Kausen picture at some point to see how they do compare to the average transformer for maximum meta.

I believe our Cadet will undergo a magical girl transformation once the base is under attack by the Westphalians, having taken advantage of the distraction that is an hostile Kaiju to strike our base.
Then she'll hopefully use her new-found power to rain lasers of death against the intruder machines.
Following from that will be research options to weaponize magical girl trinkets and perhaps making "acceptable variations" for male users. ;)

Devin's going to break down and we don't need him becoming Gendo.

He needs a dead wife and an estranged son for that. On the plus side, the Gendo option comes with cool glasses!

Man this pic is awesome.

@Basarin so curious, assuming certain mecha comes with some kinda assistance AI will that mean they will have preferred pilots they work best with and it's actually detrimental to let anyone else use the mecha in question?

Turn Seven, Year Two: Crunch Time Again
1411, 1 July, A.D. 2071
Command Center

"Two months until we go public," you say. "So naturally I'm expecting things to go horribly wrong."

"I would call you pessimistic," Sasaki says, "if it weren't for our track record so far."

You and Sasaki are standing in the command center's bridge. Below, you see a flurry of movement as technicians are rushing to and from the Pegasus, all conducting routine maintenance a little more intensely than your standard stock item would require. But the Pegasus is anything but a stock item. It hasn't even been tested in combat conditions just yet, so the paranoia is warranted.

You glance at the sheer coverage of vision now afforded to you by all the improvements made to the outposts and the radar tower. "Just you watch," you sigh. "Right before, or during the unveiling, the Free Brothers will start dropping asteroids on North America, the Kaiju will show up at Los Angeles for takeout burgers, and the Westphalians will start launching zeppelins or something at us. All at once. Just for kicks." You rub your forehead in annoyance. "Anything else I should know?"

"There is." The display switches to what looks like a blueprint layout. "With all the success we have had with our prototypes, we are confident that within a few months we can begin a fresh construction effort. A dedicated Super Robot, without the constant incremental improvements." Sasaki grimaces. "It is not going to be cheap-"

"-but nothing we ever do is," you finish for her. "Fair enough. Just keep me posted."

Resource Point Income: 15 RP + 3 RP (Landing Pad) - 6 RP (Gattai, Fact Finding, Triple Change, Steed, Shattered Spear, Dispersion Field) = 12 RP

'Katarina's Support!' – You may add +1d6 to one Action ONCE THIS TURN. Refreshes for next turn!

Special Actions

What is Gattai? Why does your pilot keep saying that? - You aren't surprised that additional details about the Timberwolf and the Foxhound have already filtered back to Galbinus. But he's approached you with a surprise offer: could you modify several Legionnaires to conduct combining configuration?

He understands this is asking quite a bit out of you, but he's willing to compensate you for your assistance.

Cost: 1 RP Locked (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Chance for Breakthrough (2d6, Threshold of 5-6)
Chance to gain bonus to future Combination experiments. Gain greater relations with Legion. Will be able to call upon Legionnaire Combiner on occasion for reinforcements. Will gain Temporary RP income for the next four turns

The Yukimura Institute - Besides the K-Class Materials (which you're keeping under wraps), you haven't had much to do with the Kaiju yet. Now that you have the Intelligence Services' backing, it might do to send Wallflower to the Yukimura Institute directly. See what he can learn and find out about how they do business, particularly with the Black Guardian of the North.

Cost: 1 RP Locked
Duration: 1 Turn

Fact Hunt - Political Concerns - Anna manages to corner you and lays out an uncomfortable fact for you - within two months, the DFRI is going to have a lot of exposure. Now, the DFRI is going to be known by name, reputation, and deeds - but the actual location is going to remain a tightly guarded secret. (Anna assures with a wry grin that the heads of the Intelligence Services were taking the lead on that)

That said, it wouldn't hurt to send your people out to get a temperature check. Word has already been filtering out to various senior commands, and aside from the FRC you have no idea how you'll be received. Now's a good time to send some feelers out, and perhaps see what you can do to get into others' good graces.

You may choose one.
-[] Air Defense Force - Let's be honest. Armistead just flat out confuses you. He doesn't support his own subordinate commands, he lets something as large as a Westphalian raiding party just drive past his territory, and he belittles your efforts every chance he gets.

Anna's given assurances that this is typical politicking behavior, but you want more assurances than that. Anna's game for it; send someone out to get a temperature check on the people under Armistead's command. This is also a great opportunity to see what others in the Air Defense Force are making out of the designs that have come from your people.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Chance to improve relations at Disadvantage (1d6, Threshold Unknown)
Gain additional information on General George Armistead and the Air Defense Force; gain information on overall opinion of the Air Defense Force of the DFRI

-[] Naval Defense Force - Interestingly enough, the Navy has been warming up to the V-33, but you know nothing about what they think beyond that. They seem neutral about you, but you've also heard they are the most skeptical. You don't know for sure.

They have heavily invested resources into fighting the kaiju. Aside from cooperative ventures with the Yukimura Institute, they have not had all that much luck either. Maybe you can bring them to your side by lending them a hand.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Chance to improve relations at Disadvantage (1d6, Threshold Unknown)
Gain additional information on the Naval Defense Force, and their overall opinion of the DFRI

-[] Ground Defense Force - Having gotten their hands on some of the Jackals, the EUDGF isn't really sure what to make of your work. You have your advocates in the EUGDF, but you also have just as many critics.

So all in all, it could be worse.

Anna's willing to help you out with gauging the mood to see what overall opinion is, and how best to get around any thorny issues.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Gain additional information on the Ground Defense Force, and their overall opinion of the DFRI

Defense Force Actions

Diana's Creativity: You may reduce the Success Threshold of any one Defense Force Action by -1.

[] A Helping Hand - The sappers know the drill by now. If you can spare some resources, you can speed up the construction of an ongoing or new build project.

Cost: 2 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 1 Turns
Reduces Turn Duration of one construction project by One Turn. Cannot be reduced below One Turn.

Pilot Training – It's becoming more imperative to start training and grooming new talent to take to the field ahead of any new machines we make. There's undoubtedly more talent that you haven't tapped into. Thanks to Sam and the Duo's efforts, you have a pretty reliable way of finding and training new talent. Best get to it!
-[] Pilot Training – Find New Talent – You have an entire base of personnel to tap into, all with varying abilities and psychic potential. The option remains to find new talent, but you'll have to invest into actively searching.

Cost: 1 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 1 Turn
Chance to find new pilots (2d6, Threshold of 5-6)

-[] Pilot Training - Callaghan - Richard Callaghan is the most seasoned pilot you have, but even an old dog can learn new tricks. If you set aside some time and resources, Cavalier is more than willing to run some more training with him. Callaghan is sure to benefit from the wily scout's training.

Cost: 2 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 1 Turn
Chance to gain and increase combat stats (2d6, Threshold of 4-6)

Muster for Battle - You've recently produced several brand new designs. Now is a good time to decide if you want to invest in converting an existing formation to use them. This would be a great field test of their capabilities, and would give your supporting units a nice booster shot to the arm. You already have pre-existing squadrons, so conversion would only take about a month. If you decide to do this, choose one.

Either action will Cost: 2 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 1 Turn
[]Convert a formation into Mechanized, CR-04 Phalanx.

- Conventional Weapons: Can Strike at Disadvantage, 1d6, Threshold of 5-6. Can inflict 2 HP per Strike. Can Strike every turn.

- Heavy Weapons: Can make a Heavy Weapon Strike at Advantage every four turns. Currently can only deploy Conventional Heavy Weapons (3d6, Threshold of 5-6, Inflicts 2 HP). Counts as the Phalanx's Action. Can be upgraded in future turns.

- Shield Wall: Can choose to absorb an incoming Strike for an allied Support unit. Will absorb -1 of the original Strike, but damage effects of The Backup will take effect. Roll 1d6, Threshold of 4-6. Can be upgraded in future turns.

- The Backup: Can be targeted by enemies to delay Conventional Weapons Strike. If Enemy successfully hits, Phalanx Squadron refresh is delayed by One Turn. When facing multiple enemies, Conventional Weapons may be used every turn instead of every other turn.

[]Convert a Reconnaissance formation to using CR-03 Steed

- Conventional Weapons: Can Strike at Disadvantage Three Times in One Turn, 1d6, Threshold of 4-6. Can inflict 1 HP per Strike. Can Strike every other turn. Can target multiple targets if desired.

- Agile: May re-roll a successful enemy attack at 2d6 (Threshold of 4-6).

- Distraction: CR-03 Steed can force enemies to re-roll a successful Action. Can be used once every four turns.

- The Backup: Can be targeted by enemies to delay Conventional Weapons Strike. If Enemy successfully hits, Phalanx Squadron refresh is delayed by One Turn. When facing multiple enemies, Conventional Weapons may be used every turn instead of every other turn.

Engineering Actions

Passive Bonus: Stubborn. Rolling a 1 on any dice will prompt a Re-Roll.

[] K-Class Materials Experiments - This Hand of Mine... - The Blazing Fist on the Timberwolf Formation is potent. But Wilde and Henry think they can make it even moredestructive. Who are you to say no to that?

Cost: 2 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 1 Turn
Chance to greatly increase Blazing Fist's capabilities (2d6, Threshold of 4-6)

[] Configuration - With Our Powers Combined... - So the Psychic Theater works. At least it does in a controlled environment. But what about in practice? Wilde and Henry are a bit skeptical, especially since the main best examples - the Timberwolf and the Foxhound - aren't exactly co-pilot friendly. But they're willing to give it a go.

Callaghan's involvement was a no-brainer, but Satsuma has also volunteered to see if this is viable.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Test to see the effects of Psychic Theater outside of the laboratory
Will modify vehicles for ease of co-pilot use
Gain bonuses to Combining Configuration

[] Supercomputer AI - MMI Supplemental Development - In short, there's enough fragmentary code to be a part of an AI personality, but not enough to develop one on its own. But if someone were to spend some time with an MMI helmet with the code, the code fragments will draw from the member's ESP waves and fill in the gaps. You will get a personality that resembles the contributor, but still be its own individual.

Ignatov and Katarina are adamant that you take at least two months with this approach.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked Next Turn)
Duration: 2 Turns
Will gain new AI Supercomputer Personality, Will be slotted as a Mecha Personality (You may choose either as standalone pilot or as dedicated co-pilot)

Science Actions

Calm - Ivanna's help enables you to re-roll one failed Science Action Test this turn.

[] Energy Shard Processing – The lifeblood and currency of Kausen society apparently. It seems straightforward enough to Max: processed energy essentially scrunched into a tiny package. Human energy processing such as oil, gas and fusion power apparently translate quite nicely into Shards (which explains the constant raids from the Free Brothers). Max is confident she can replicate it, but the bigger question to her is how we can use it safely.

With everything else that you've been doing for the Legion, Galbinus has offered to detach one of his specialists to come help you establish this. He points out it's only fair after having given him both the Configuration methods, built a new home, and gave him a brand new alt-form.

Cost: 2 RP (1 RP Locked)
Duration: 2 Turns
Chance for Breakthrough (2d6, Threshold of 5-6)
Progress in Xenotechnology, Bonus RP Generation Option

[] Kaiju Biotechnology - A Smart Suit - "True Fact: the K-Suits are emitting psychic energy, but we don't know how or why. We know for a fact that we can make use of psychic signals, but we want to know if we can put this to use with the Super Robot. Can we turn a spiffy suit of dead kaiju armor into a supplement for the MMI?"

"No idea. But we're gonna find out. Sam Carlson, we're done here."

Cost: 2 RP (One Time Investment)
Duration: 2 Turn
Chance for Breakthrough (2d6, Threshold of 5-6)
Progress in Kaiju Biotechnology

Man this pic is awesome.

@Basarin so curious, assuming certain mecha comes with some kinda assistance AI will that mean they will have preferred pilots they work best with and it's actually detrimental to let anyone else use the mecha in question?

We will get to that eventually!

Also, I owe additional posts on stats for new units and such. I will get to that eventually; the internet where I'm at isn't fantastic.

We need to pick upon enigma of Armistead and our current biggest internal problem.
We also need heavy strike force, to be ready to support against massed attacking forces. But mobile recoinnessance helps, too. Plus, as we are creators of the tech, it's embarrassing not to dogfood it.
Dense Energy Source will help with current mecha stable, with Super Robot and with Kausen, too.
In general, we have enough RP to hit majority of projects and we need to be ready for going public, so nothing especially long needs to take place.
