Oh boy, this is gonna end well. One very insane Green with confused feelings about a Red-Gold hybrid. Then again, it's not like it's impossible for Greens to end up in shenanigan situations of this sort.

Emma Barnes' sanity had been questionable when she'd been remanded to psychiatric care until such time she'd be deemed competent to stand trial for the charges laid against her. If Tiamat was correct, the former Ms. Barnes was now completely insane and had possibly Mastered. Which meant that she wasn't entirely responsible for her actions if that was to be proven.

Green dragons, she'd been told by experts on the matter, were not to be trusted. Amongst themselves, they were coarse, indelicate creatures, prone to treachery. Amongst other creatures, they adopted a (very thin) veneer of civility, using a demeanor that could best be described and honey-tongued, smooth, and sophisticated.
Typos:
first a missing word (I assume 'been')
second should be 'as'

The soldier that entered the van was dressed in urban camo BDUs, complete with composite body armor. He was easily six feet tall and had a lean build, like most soldiers do. Especially ones who wore the special warfare operator's insignia. The man respectfully inclined his head to her. "Ma'am," he greeted her respectfully. "MCPO John Spartan."
*snerk*
That man's so good you'd expect him to have a HALO.

Halo reference, Demolition Man reference, or both?
I assumed HALO (seeing as he's a Master Chief Petty Officer), though I had forgotten that Stallone's character in Demolition man was named John Spartan.

My Editor reminded me of the Stallone character whilst editing.

It's supposed to be The Master Chief, John-117. However...

117 doesn't lend itself to making a good last name.

And I'll deal with the typo later.

I once read a fic where the Master Chief got sent to late 20th century/early 21st century Earth and, not having a last name, did in fact choose 'Spartan' and had someone accuse him of making a Demolition Man reference.

"Ma'am," he greeted her respectfully. "MCPO John Spartan."
Could be worse. Could be another badass in green armor, who has serious anger management issues.
She looked up at the sound of the voice, Something in the fog and mist was moving.
Emma turned the period into a comma.
"I am Tiamat," the voices intoned. "We are going to have words, youngling, and if you are lucky, you will get to live."
A megaladon wants to speak to a relatively large fish.

Well Emma is up a creek without a paddle above a raging waterfall unless Venger somehow shows up as a distraction...

One half wonders just what Venger did to piss Tiamat off so much that even pre-reform Tiamat would beeline for him whenever he shows up, or just what she did to make the nigh immortal Venger actually fear her.

John Undecius-Septimius.

Romans had a lot of number names due to Republican era naming conventions. And elven in latin is Undecim, and 10 rendered as a name is Decius. So Undecius (11) Septimius (7), either as a full name or hyphenated surname.

The actual word 117 in latin's a bit clunky, Cento septendecium.

I am legit surprised Taylor didn't go into the situation for one reason or another. Like not even a movement towards that and someone calling her back by being reasonable.

Because they don't know the details and she knows better than to rush in if she can help it by now. And Armsmaster is getting the lowdown on what is known while he has them put their stuff away, take a shower, and get geared up. And who is to say that someone didn't do so offscreen anyway?

You also need to keep in mind that Tiamat is also around, and Emma falls under her general purview now due to what Falazure did to the girl. Taylor, when she finds out, is going to pity both Emma and Sophia for what was done to them. Because for all shit they did, as bad as it was, they didn't deserve what was done to them.

Why? The last time Taylor fought a dragon-like being, she got her ass handed to her. And Taylor knows it. Yes, she did beat Lung. But it was more through pluck and luck then skill.

Through the reasoning of 'this is a personal thing' and 'i want to be involved with the green dragon calling out my name to the city at large'. Though I do admit I had forgotten that Taylor was unaware that Emma had been turned into a dragon, I thought she knew.

What Taylor knows is limited right now. She knows a green dragon is flying over the city looking for something. And she recognized Emma's voice. Considering the trauma those girls put Taylor through before, and how badly Lung had ripped her apart... It shouldn't be a great surprise that Taylor is entirely reasonably following orders to not chase down the green dragon looking for her.

Is there a problem with Crosstime Cafe?

I cannot access it anymore?
There is currently in infestation of bots trying to crawl the site and blatantly ignoring the bots.txt. 90+ within 13 seconds, trying to read everything.

What do spammers care about being good net citizens? Anyway, any access that isn't a login was blacklisted as the admin tries to seperate out the bots and users. I can provide a link, but if you're not logged in, it may not work (I think; things appear to have settled down for the moment). I've been Blacklisted?!

I've just thought of something that might be a plot hole.

Tiamat and Bahamut, individually, are almost certainly on the same level as Lolth; combined, they're definitely much stronger.

Why hasn't Dinah asked them to turn her into a dragon rather than a drider?

Even if doing so requires the person to be on the verge of death... I can see Dinah doing something drastic to make it possible. Just to get away from Lolth.

And the usual politics of not pissing off another deity wouldn't come into play, because Lolth doesn't care about Dinah, just keeping here away from Coil/Falazure.

Alternately, has Dinah ever actually met Tia or Bahamut? Also, being almost on the same level as Lolth means nothing in this regard unless Lolth is the weaker of the ones being compared. Similarly, Tia and her brother being more powerful if combining their abilities means nothing because they would individually have to be more powerful then Lolth. Also, as deities their power is in part based on worshipers. Something nether Tia nor her brother really have anymore. Meaning they are both down to their personal power levels. Lolth on the other hand does still have an entire society of worshipers.
