Lina inverse is the main character of the slayers light novel, manga and anime series with some differences in character between mediums like being less impulsive in the light novels and more comically over the top in the anime.

Luna Inverse is her sister and holy warrior of the dragon god of her world, she also works as a waitress and apparently once killed a dragon with nothing but a kitchen knife. Lina is afraid to terrorized enough to literally entomb herself alive when it comes to Luna depending wither you are talking about the light novels or anime.
More specifically, Luna Inverse is the supposed Chosen One of the world she's from, but she's lazy and would much rather work as a waitress instead of solving the world's crisis. And so she sends her less overpowered sister instead. Yes, less.

Could be worse.

Imagine if Nanoha Takamachi was also there.

The Three Queens of Overkill together is a Universe-Ending Threat.
...Do we know she isn't?

I mean, there have been quite a lot of crossovers here, and she'd certainly be someone the Entities would use for an Endbringer, seeing as we're going that route...

Nanoha wouldn't really fit any of the known Endbringers. She's not subtle enough to be Ziz. And her preferred combat style (in the air hitting you with city destroying but non-lethal artillery blasts) isn't a good fit for Benny, Levi, or the time/space one that I'm not even going to attempt to spell the name of.

yeah, Nanoha doesn't fit any of the Endbringers that we know about. There were twenty of them though and many never were seen in canon, (at least not Worm, can't speak to Ward)

That said, let me throw some more nightmare fuel out there for you and a recommendation
Nanoha as raised by Lina Inverse

Re: Revelations of the last chapter

Lina is bound to a shard cluster that runs an endbringer that hasn't been seen in Canon; It has, however been seen in Fanfic; She's the bombardment endbringer that shows up in CmptrWz's Mauling Canon (Starting post, it doesn't show up until the last quarter...)

Keep in mind that the defenders of the previous cycle's world flattened twelve contlict engines and prior [WARRIOR] before getting blindsided by [THINKER] and used as replacement conflict engines. This includes Behemoth, Leviathan, Ziz, [Bombardment], and eight others. The eight left from the previous cycle are much, much less than those eight, but still powerful enough to curbstomp earth's assembled parahumans while sandbagging. This was mentioned sometime in Angels, Demons, Dragons and Saints.

Re: Nanoha - considering I hadn't heard of Nanoha until recently... I don't have the time to familiarize myself with it to throw Ms. Orbital Friendship Beam Bombardment to the already chaotic and unstable mix. Maple is more likely (bwahahahahahahaha!). :)

Of course, Maple is her character in a VRMMO. And no, it isn't a Dot Hack or SOA style VRMMO even though it's slightly implied to be full dive. As such, if her world came under assault from the Entities, Maple wouldn't have been much use against them anyway. Not unless she somehow got her abilities and gear from the game.

Hopefully not Ziz. Cause that would be an improvement 😋😋
Didn't the Ziz interlude heavily imply that Ziz is Gretel Hexe Andvari aka The Admirality Code from Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Plus her reveal in the AoBS manga had her going six-winged angel. Well, four since two of her engines/emitters were kaput.

Or did I read into it wrong?

To clarify :

Ziz is not the Admiralty Code, despite a similar appearance. Gretl Hexe Andvari, free from Herr Gauss' control, is capable of independent dimensional travel, and came to see what her wayward cousins, known as The Fleet of Fog, were doing on Earth Bet(d). She stayed a while, enjoyed some local seafood, beat Leet at cheating at Gin Rummy, and then departed to go tease Gunzou, Iona, and Takao back home. Because she can, and because it's fun.

The thing is, though, is all we would need to stop Maple is to set up a couple of cute girls running a sweet shop in her way. (A very large sweet shop, yes.) Run the Nazi twins up to full size, put them in cute maid outfits and have them offer Maple a slice of Cheesecake, and Maple would settle down and eat for a while.

Which would probably be one of the most unusual PtV scenarios that Contessa would run. "You need how many tons of graham crackers?"

Not even that. Remember, Maple is the video game avatar of a normal teenage girl. While Maple might be a cute yet terrifying unstoppable force in the VRMMO, her real self is just a normal girl. I find it funny that the game's devs allow her to keep the extremely broken abilities she gains as payment for her accidently pointing out the game breaking exploits such as gaining skills via eating stuff in-game or defeating raid bosses by eating them. They do nerf her abilities periodically though such as in episode 3 (I think) when she's reading patch notes and sees they changed things so maxed out defense doesn't make you completely immune to damage anymore. Not that it helps much.

They nerfed her Consume special ability, so that she could only use it a certain number of times per day.

The points Faerie and Archeo made are both good ones but the thing with Maple is that after they nerfed her consume ability and added the piercing ability none of her individual abilities are actually broken. The reason why Maple is so OP is because she has so many different unique abilities that give her more options than most other players and that she keeps coming up with new and creative methods to combine her and her companions skills in order to pull off stuff that is basically WTF.

First, with the piercing ability there are plenty of attacks that can still ignore some of her defense and beneath that her HP pool is actually quite small.
Second, since consume is limited to only a few times per day she has to be careful with it and since her MP pool is also pretty small this limits how many times she can actually use certain abilities, such as Hydra to only a few times per day.
Third, none of her other skills, i.e. Abomination and Machine God in particular, are really all that game breaking, all they really do is give her added mobility and a way to attack.

In the final two episodes of S1 Maple had to pull out literally every single trick in her book to just barely eke out a win against Payne (The blue swordsman guy). After that she was only able to do so much damage to other players by combining "Abomination" with her best friends skill "Kage Bunshin".

Finally, as for the Devs letting Maple keep all her abilities if you had paid attention in S1's final episode there wa a scene where the Devs were watching Maple's antics and they did consider nerfing her again but decided not to since apparently Maple is an extremely popular player to watch and the backlash could've been immense. Plus most of the higher tier players would hear about the big fight and decided that they want to take on the challenge of beating Maple for themselves which they couldn't do if the devs nerfed her:). So all told the devs figured letting her be "More of a final boss than the actual final boss" was better for everyone, especially since it was helping to ship units of the game 😜.

Hang on...didn't Maple set Hydra to her sword, which has the effect of reducing the MP cost of skills set to it to zero?

She doesn't use a sword, to my knowledge. Only on episode 4, mind you. But she uses a shield as her primary weapon, with a knife that can paralyze everything in an aoe around her to let her get close enough to tap them with her shield. Do the devs of the game ever nerf Maple's ability to gain skills by eating enemies? I know that was an entirely unintentional ability. She just blundered into it in a panic.

EDIT:
And again remember, regardless of how OP Maple is in the game she plays... she is a NORMAL HUMAN outside of it. No powers or abilities beyond that of an average Japanese school girl. Just like how when I play Waltz of the Wizard, a VR game where you are a magic user, I can cast spells to do a variety of things by waving my hands in specific patterns. But I can't do so outside of the game. No matter how many times I try, I can't cast a projectile spell by forming a fist with at my hips then preforming a curl and pushing away as I open my hand. Similarly, no matter how much time I spend playing the Spiderman: Far From Home vr game... I can't climb walls or lift cars above my head outside of the game.

I think that one other thing that Maple overwhelmingly powerful is really just that she managed to nab a bunch of true End-Game stuff through creative ability use and early on through not yet being nerfed.

Considering her regenerating Hydra armor and shield (which reform when destroyed, stronger then they previously had been) are Unique because she was the first person to defeat the hydra... Which she did solo after chugging healing potions non-stop until she gained 100% poison immunity. At which point the hydra was incapable of hurting her... That girl is scary.

And combine that with Machine God, which consumes all equipped gear to turn the user into a Gundam, and the quality of the gear determines the quality of the weapons...broken combo is broken.

Most gear would be gone after using Machine God, but the regenerative abilities of Maple's Armor of the Black Rose set means that it complements Machine God perfectly.

Devs: "How were we supposed to see this coming?"

I imagine the expectation was that different people would have each Unique armor/weapon set. That said, considering the "convert foe into mp, instantly killing them" skill on the shield got nerfed after Maple's first pvp tourney, it's doubtful they had playtested that particular equipment set. After all, it synergized rather well with the dagger the armor/weapon set came with. And both synergized insanely well with the "hydra's poison breath" ability the shield has. Okay, yes, it was probably expected that the skill would be a suicide move due to the user being caught in the poison cloud too. Er, Maple gained complete immunity to poison. Granted, that may have been possible only due to her putting all stat points into Defense, thus being able to max out every defensive passive skill.

At least, I assume the cap for defensive skills like poison or explosion resistance is dependent on your Defense stat.

Know who else would be a super dangerous Endbringer?

Basically, anyone from Touhou Project.

We've got a shrine maiden who can go toe to toe with all of the Youkai.

We've got a witch who is really a normal human, but became one of the strongest magic users around through nothing but hard work.

We've got a witch who may have asthma, but her ability with magic is so great that you would have to be insanely lucky or insanely skilled to exploit it.

We've got a maid who can stop time and summon an infinite number of knives.

We've got a vampire who can manipulate destiny itself and cover the land in crimson mist.

We've got the vampire's sister, who can destroy pretty much anything.

We've got a gap hag who can manipulate boundaries and portals.

We've got the gap hag's shikigami, who may or may not be Tamamo no Mae herself.

We've got a trio of Oni who once terrorized Japan.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg!
