Considering Alicorns are Princesses that can wipe the floor with Dragons, which Dragon will she be rescuing from which knight? (Knight rescues Princess from Dragon, Dragon rescues Knight from Princess, Princess rescues Dragon from Knight.)

If you squint, Kaiser looks a bit like a knight, after all......
The only "rescuing" a dragon would need from that asshole would be a rescue from indigestion.

Though I hear large quantities of superheated plasma make for a fantastic antiemetic.

The pump is making a funny grinding noise. I'll be snagging another CLC and better 120mm fans. I've had this one running 16 hours/day, 7 days a week, for 4.5 years, doing CGI rendering, so CPU loads are 100% for 10m to 8h. Not a terribly friendly computing environment here in rural America, with dust, and my feline overlord's presence.

Why you should probably not buy a CLC cooler

Why is this thread even needed? One of my pet peeves in recent years has been the rise of Close Loop Coolers. They have been misleadingly advertised as easy to set up, yet providing performance like water cooling, which most enthusiasts associate as being superior to air cooling. Custom loops...

Honestly it sounds like you somehow got dust into the pump when you cleaned it, though that does not make much sense.

If Kaiser, his mighty steed (Hookwolf) and his squires (Menja and Fenja) attacked Hunts-The-Ice, then the poor young Dragon would likely be in serious trouble...

@Byzantine - It's approaching EOL, Best I've gotten is 24.96K hours (6,240 hours (24/7, 1 year) x 4 years), and their MTBF is 25K Hours.

@Lycanthromancer - Air coolers don't last very long where I'm at. For my particular usage - Rendering - The CLC units work wonderfully, and are stable right up until failure.

Eh, if you take the Enchanted Forest series then a Princess doesn't need to be an alicorn to rescue the dragon from a knight. One of the main characters in the series is a tomboy princeess (introduced in Dealing with Dragons) who chose to be a Dragon's Princess, and regularly duels and defeats the pesky knights trying to rescue her. They have to get through the princess to face the dragon.

Not so much "duels and defeats" as stalls and tricks. Putting out signs saying 'path blocked, find other route', sending the Prince's to rescue other Princesses, claiming have an injured leg, etc....

Considering some of the parahuman "Knights" running around out there, having a Princess with an ace up her sleeve may not be a bad idea. Considering that, in MLP, the rank of Princess is automatically granted to all Alicorns, even a weak Alicorn is a high level Mover/Blaster/Brute/Shaker combo, and this started with the idea of Imp ending up as an Alicorn instead, this would make her a Princess that could reasonably defend any Dragon from any Knight that might face them..... even a Death Knight, which is quite frankly one of the most terrifying takes on the concept of Knight one can think of, and something the top candidate of Coil's New Boss could be able to create....

I can see some Panacea (dragon) and Glory Girl (princess) shenanigans in the future. I wonder if Amy and Dean (knight) can be persuaded to prank the local Protectorate...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh dear. I just had a thought. Saint George was a Knight renowned for Saving a Princess by slaying a Dragon.

We have a nutcase who's pseudonym is a reference to Saint George, sitting on a device that can instantly kill the Hero named Dragon. And for the life of me, I can't think of a single candidate for a Princess to save her...

This could be bad. Very Bad. Egon BAD. (Anyone who has ever seen Ghostbusters KNOWS how bad that is.)

Somebody get Dragon a Princess, STAT!

Somebody, get Armsmaster to build a combat ballgown for himself ASAP!

Mouse Protector teleports to Dragon's main base in Vancover. "Hi, I've designated myself as YOUR princess. That way, when Saint comes to try and wreck your stuff like he normally does, he'll have to rescue me. Considering what I did to him the last time we met, he doesn't want to come within 100 miles, oops, sorry, I'm in Canada, 161 kilometers of me. Parian even made me a nice gown out of Spectrashield™ and Ceramet, too! See?"

Dragon's current mech suit du Jour very carefully applies pressure to it's visor with the palm of one of it's manipulator arms.
