I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

But those simple facts are just the header. The most important part is...

Guess which one of these three require you, the one coming seeking to prove yourself, to show case you have understanding of your self.

The Center. You need to have 100% complete understanding of your own capabilities and mindset, because if you do then the Center does everything the Left does as well. If your body is suddenly stronger than you expect by a bit, and you know that fear you feel isn't what you normally would be feeling, you know something else is effecting you, and you know how much based on your change in physical abilities. And thus, knowing there's an outside interference based on your own condition changing different from your previous experience, you know there is Falsehood.

If the rune requires you to have complete understanding of yourself then it is the worst teaching tool in the history of teaching tools. Also that is just a terrible thing to have to do in the middle of combat. I presume no one is using teaching tools on you in the middle of a fun romp so you now have to guess what's the funky rune interacting with a fear effect and what's adrenaline. All in all for the purposes of gaining insight center is a bad rune and it should feel bad. :V

Getting the Hammer is a huge deal and being the Heir is really important.

Even if he doesn't get the Hammer he can still benefit from the journey which is really clever and pragmatic of him.

It does provide kwnoledge about yourself tough indirectly.
It shows if wath affecting you is your own feelings or outside forces forcing their will upon you.
Bieng stronger or temporarly feeling no fear wont help you if you dont understand source of said fears.

As it is Centre & Right are tools for action right now at this moment while left is tool for right now & future due kwnoledge it can provide.

Edit:
Centre is Adrenalin surge, good thing to have but without kwnoledge a little help.

Right is hyping your self up to do somthing and midway trough realizng you are still terified and more than likly get paralyzed by panic attack.

Left is kwnoledge with little morale boost to help use said kwnoledge.

We're making a combo about what it means to be a dwarf. Becoming stronger, tougher, harder, in response to what tries to break us feels more correct in that than just being aware of mind altering effects.
