For my court case, I'd like to call my blood brothers Rikard Villeson, Ragnarr Fair-Spoken, Sigmund Sigurdsson, and Amlodi Tooth-Taker, as well as Moli Spotlight, Agnes Olsen (if the lawspeaker may be so called), Bjorn Bjarneson, Erik Hardhead, and Valo Halvarson as my judges.

Grid will try to her best to not accidentally freeze Kare to death.
While Sigmund acknowledge Grid's words as honest, Sigmund will also politely remind Grid that killing Kare could go badly for her sister Katla as Clan Jarnblod will be obligated to seek revenge on her and her kin should she kill Kare so she is aware of the potential consquences of her actions.
(if the lawspeaker may be so called)
They can. Their only job is to remember the words of the laws.

Hmm.. Holmgang huh?

Seeing everyone going for the Quarry and Western, maybe I should let Gudrun continue solo and scout, and die?, the Eastern coastline? Hmm...

Could also simply guard for this turn I guess?

As the laws of Holmgang have not yet been altered from the norm, this duel shall be the start and end of any hostilities between the respective clans.

The number of us on the Western expedition isn't that high, there are just 4 of us. Also, I believe some people are gonna go try and discreetly scout out the crabs, and a different group are searching for a mystical site.

Per IF we are actually skilled enough to make this, and make things out of the iron from it, we just need to sit down and actually make one. A smith would be needed for some stuff, but not melting down iron to make basic weapons and tools...the biggest issue is how enormous these are, we need a big smelter.
Well, it's a solid hunk of iron. We just need someone to be able to break iron up into smaller pieces. Easier said than done, but surely someone can manage given how many superheroes we have around.

Grid is one to keep her word.

You should just join one of the group efforts, honestly. Going in alone is rarely gonna be the best option.

That said, no one has gone after the crabs thus far. No one has even thought of a plan for it. Maybe Scouting and spying on them for a bit?

Out of curiosity, who was the challenger in the duel?

Huh. I thought killing people was revenge cycle unless wergild is payed.
Holmgang is a formalized dueling custom that's specifically intended to sort of bypass that, in that it lets you formally challenge someone. If you kill them, you owe half normal wergild; if they kill you, they owe no wergild because "talk shit, get hit."

I'm really glad patrolling is a passive otherwise I'd be very afraid for the village with everyone off on quests even if they're around a six month period.

[X] Hrósvior Summer 2 Actions
-[X] Major: Join westward expedition.
-[X] Passive: Learn basics of native language.
-[X] Passive: Grow Golden Grass on farm proper, using compost to try and improve growth.

Walliseatscheese said his character Bjorn Bjarneson was gonna do this. Which does not mean he couldn't use help, mind you...

We don't have any kind of smelter, so that would help, but not actually solve the problem by itself.

Sigmund could spare an Ant Fylgia to provide shield kunna support and scouting if Gudrun wishes to do this.
Ah, probably best to let another group have such support. Thank you for the offer to Gudrun's Adventure. May you and your group's adventure be fruitful and glorious.

She, and to an extent me, is not good with groups. I'm sure you guys will be fine. Thank you for the invitation (?) however. May your journey with your group be fruitful and glorious.

Yes, it's a character narrative flaw due to an IRL complication of mine.

I will, and thus Gudrun, have to decline. Thank you for the recommendation though.

You were certainly invited, but if you wish to go your own way, by all means.
I would rather not split the glory earned by those that truly deserve it. Thank you though.

I have nine ants. I can spare one.
I will still have to decline. Thank you though.

@I.F. Ister Does my land count as fertile for the purpose of the golden grass law?
What land do you have? If it is Hills or Beach, it isn't fertile enough for the law.
Out of curiosity, who was the challenger in the duel?
Technically, it was me. However, Grid was the one who agreed first. In setting, it was her.

Anyways,

@Jaguar2234 @alexthealright are you good and ready to have this battle?
