I think if people specify to not cut down trees where unnecessary we can curb any retaliation from the spirits. On the other hand depending on how the spirits can differentiate from natives and us they could keep the Onigar off us, which as someone residing in Jungle Hills sounds very good to me.

On counsel from his cousins, Harald has second thought clearing his land this season if an edit is allowable.

[X] Harald Logarson Summer 2 Action
-[x] Major: Secure in his victory and with no hunger for additional glory this season, Harald devotes most of his energy to working the Tier 1 Farm plot he planted on Ragnarr's land, sowing mostly flax with bonemeal as fertilizer. He will plant golden grass throughout the plot, especially at the boundaries of the field and between rows of flax, and will experiment in providing it different sorts of shelter(lean tos, shading plants next to them, rough awnings over them, some shielded from the sun in the morning vs evening vs mid day etc etc) to attempt to see what conditions it most requires, using Farming Tricks heavily throughout. He will also plant his Mushroom Man, if the mushroom man is in working shape before Winter, Harald will have it help him on this action and the Passive fortification of Gefjosa's land, but not the clearing of his own.
-[x] Passive: Harald attends his cousin Moli's dance party, hopefully with company.
-[x] Passive: Harald will work with Agmundr(mentioned in his action as landscaping) to fortify Gefjosa's cottage with a ditch and earth wall. If mushroom man is ripe, it will assist with the digging as it's primary action. Harald remembers the ground Torgarr died on. He will go there, use his connection to the soil to find the spot that Torgarr's hearts blood fell upon, then take a part of that Earth and use it to lay the foundations of that wall. (Retaining a smaller part of the soil to put under Torgarr's Runestone when he raises it). Once their efforts are complete, he will arrange some small glowcoral images of the Gods that Gefjosa made and arrange them in a circle of tilled earth around him as he attempts to bless the wall with a prayer to the Gods and the Soil. As Sacrifice he will cut himself in the side with a sickle and offer all blood that falls before he finishes his prayer, stating also to the Gods that Torvarr Villagefeeders life was worth more than a single spear, and asks that if there be any weight of his sacrifice left that it be bent to the purpose for which his life was given: the protection of Torvarr's niece. If he starts to feel too woozy he'll let the blood that's fallen so far suffice and stop the bleeding.
-[x] Passive: Harald will assist Agmundr in searching Harald's tile of Jungle Hills for resources. Specifically Harald will be searching for sources of water that might be useful for agriculture in the future and for small livestock similar to Rabbits(anything he can find in the Soil that appears to fulfill an ecological niche with a large litter size, is a valid target for his Farming Tricks applying to animal husbandry, and a healthy ability to turn plant matter into meat and/or fur, fat, babies, misc other trade goods), or plants that he could potentially farm(looking for things with supplemental flavor or roughage suitable for rabbits. The dream find would be a rhizome spreading leafy tuberish thing native to North America called the Sunchoke). If he finds animals he will observe the species and then return later after building a hutch to contain them. If he finds plants he will plant them in a contained and seperated bit of the field on Ragnarr's land in an attempt to have them harvest this season.
-[x] Passive: Harald visits his cousin Sigmund and uses his Kunna and Farming expertise to help him manage the poor soil.

Yeah, but I did promise Harald to clear some fields and build a house so that if he does take some more land for me to swap with he wouldn't be starting from scratch

As you can see above I've already decided not to clear mine this Summer.

If you want to lengthen the term or if you've decided the land is more sus to you now because of the complication, Harald will still help you find and establish a new plot.

[X] Steinarr Stonelicker passives
-[X] Passive Action: build a smokehouse on Ivor name-giver's land as agreed.
-[X] Passive Action: Teach unattended children the Joys and Mysteries of STONE
-[X] Passive Action: give stone to Erik Hardhead and help plan/build the runestone for a favour.
-[X] Passive Action: join Moli's disco
-[X] Passive Action: try to gather stone

I see no reason to change the deal. I'll build a small foresters lodge instead if that suits you, so that the land can still be productive and so any special finds can be accessed

Moli: The First Kiss of Dawn (Shard)
Moli: The First Kiss of Dawn

It was darking, and Moli Sindrison was doubting. Dad was going to be mad.

"What am I to do here?" He spoke accusingly to his fylgja as it sat across his brow.

Through moon-rays his raven had brought him here, in a dream he followed.

"Caw." It replied, because of course his Fylgjur was himself, and he had no answers to give back.

A lonely hill with a sleepy spirit he stood on. A looming presence he sensed.

"Who goes?" He spoke, stern and strong.

A grieving girl, alighting by the moon and robed in twirling red ash.

"I, Ljufa of Gunnar goes. Who speaks?" She spoke aloud, proudly raising her head with severity, and Moli gasped.

Her shattered face, as broken glass from so long ago... but mended, the space of lace placing it all together.

"I Moli Sindrison speaks. Here is unsafe, fair Ljufa,"

"What comes will come. Why are you here?"

"My Fyljur saw me here, and so I did."

"Well then, so did mine."

Her ill-raven black feathers were green-tipped, readied to fall...

The sound of sniffing broke their conversation, a pack of six wolves having surrounded the duo. So manifested in the real, their fylgjur could not warn them. Mani in his fullest had lit them all up amidst the gentle snow, full of hunger that spoke to poor hunts.

"Then so be it. You will not fall while I stand." He spoke gravely.

True, they hungered, but at least they were hungry.

"I am the greater fear here, Moli." She spoke, faintly smiling with glowing hands as her head blazed with a crown of withered branches.

The wolves pounced, but their weakness was sickness. Hacking and bleeding, glass shrapnel flew and quickly made the pack fewer.

One had pounced on Ljufa, only to be met by Moli's shield, which quickly yielded and snapped. He grimaced as he brought his axe down across it's skull.

They were still outnumbered three-two, and he could see the greenish-greyish glow of Ljufa's Frami now. Maintaining her trick was draining. And the wolves were wary now.

Then one started retching, and the wolves realized she had already released her first trick, each going for one of the pair. Moli didn't have a shield now, but shields were life and he had one. Brightened by the soft light of Frami, he surged and blocked the one going for Ljufa with his hand as the wolf bit in and immediately tore it off - Then his Saemd and Virthing blew out, a cloak of raven-glass feathers and a crown of glass as the wolf's head exploded in a burst of glass spikes and his hand joined back to his body.

This left the lone wolf, now on top of him. His axe smacked from his hand. Footsteps running. Would Ljufa get away? Now the furious jaws up at his face. Ljufa screamed. The wolf stopped in shock. It's head split from it's body. And then Moli realized what he saw. She stood there glorious with his bloodied axe and now robed in a cloak of green-tipped raven feathers.

All the wolves were dead. They had won.

With the bloodletting done, a satisfied Mani finally rested from the sky, and for a moment the world was dark -

She reached out, her hand bringing him close and planting a smile on his lips.

And Suna rose, her light bringing the yawning world to dawn.

Moli's Glass Kunna is from a Muna called 'Shattered Beauty'.
His Light Kunna is from a Muna called 'The First Kiss of Dawn'.

Grid Frostsdottir may or may not be arranging a tournament for her hand in marriage. Currently prospective contestants consist of Agmundr Idskapadr, Akali Nightsinger, Grid Frostdottir and Njal Ulfson.

"Fair Ragnarr, I wish to air today, an offer and an ask if be you well with; Bring to me a tale for sale, for the Skaldry-trickery that I wish to try."

OOC I have no idea if I'm supposed to type up the story or something, but Ragnarr's in and should have his part in a couple of stories he can tell.

The reminds me, I didn't see any threadmarks or bigger posts about the change in omake/creative works policy? It seems like direct Ordstirr benefits are getting removed? Could we get a summary on what's going on?

I have no issue with the direct mechanical benefits being removed, it helps keep things on a level playing field where it's about what the character does rather than what the player puts out, but I'd like to know what's going on essentially.

Check the Informationals for Omake Bounty Change.

There's a threadmark in Informationals under 'Omake Bounty Change' as mentioned, but it's pretty simple: No more omake rewards of any sort after this season ends.

[X] Minor Actions
- [X] Clear land and begin expanding the house a bit.
- [X] Clear sheltered areas for golden grass.
- [X] Start analyzing local herbs and poisons.
- [X] Plant a small field.
- [X] Plant an herb garden, with whatever seeds Katla brought with her.
- [X] Spend time with her son. Attempt to figure out if her breastmilk is poisonous. If it is, see if eating golden grass helps

So idk if that tournament thing is really happening but if by some miracle Akali won would he be vow bound to marry her? Cause a part of me just wants to enter, win and then go back home lol.

"Alright, agreed."

Moli Tries Twisting

It's not called the written word nor the written world for nothing. All words were a hall of spells. Skaldry was this, stories spoken in strange ranging and winding ways. This was the twisting, weaving world-writing. Rhyme-speaking was twist-training.

Power demands sacrifice, so mandates price even for kin. Sale of tale, told-taken and slowly Moli rewords truth still true in turn.

===

"Fair-spoken, far-air fell,
Flying lighting greatwings.

Cawing, saw he carnage;
Cousin's kin-fated foe.

Enters instant insult,
Eagle's pride hides the blade;

Strikes still right beyond might,
Stakes stalker see them flee."

Fair-spoken [1], far-air fell [2],
Flying lighting greatwings.[3]

Cawing, saw he carnage; [4]
Cou-sin's kin-fated foe.

Enters instant insult, [5]
Eagle's pride hides the blade; [6]

Strikes still right beyond might, [7]
Stakes stalker see them flee. [8]

[1] Ragnar Fair-Spoken
[2] Let me tell you of the void birb arrival
[3] Void birb
[4] Akali vs Void Birb
[5] Sudden interrupt into the scene, originally by Bo.
[6] The hidden blade the Bird just didn't notice.
[7] Punches up against the Void Bird anyway
[8] And wins

Wording is deliberately ambiguous as to whether the poetry casts Ragnar as Bo as a lie-story, or if it is a retelling of the telling of the Akali-Bo-Void Bird fight, just with Ragnar as the person specifically spoken to within the Skaldic Poetry format. Thus, the poetry is fictional, yet also a retelling of nonfiction poetry.

Why? Because I can, that's why.

Ah, I remember seeing that!

I think I was just expecting that statement to be expanded on, and I might have missed it being threadmarked?

Thank you both very much!

It would depend on the rules of the tournament.

I motion we come up with a Tripartite Tournament and start having it every three years, with the First Tournament happening either at the end of our Third Year here or at the end of our third sequence of three years here (nine years in).

I think I'm in favor of at the end of 3 years, timing wise.

You do realise this tournament is basically just Grid making men fight over her?

I mean, a more general tournament could be a thing that we do, but it would be a different tournament to what is currently being discussed.

If you won, then refusing to marry Grid would be a severe insult to her and her family.

0~0~0

Anyways, I'm planning on finishing up the major actions today and then also either do the passives or start the passives while finishing them tomorrow.
