"I figure Akali or Rikard should be in charge. Either's fine by me. Nightsinger and Villeson could wrestle for it-"

At this comment, Harald moves to stand behind Rikard.

Later, after the topic changes from leadership.

"I'll be trying to inhibit their motions, focusing on their second lines so as not to interfere with you. If I do something to one you're actively engaged with, I'll call it out.

If the earthworks take damage, I'll try to disengage to effect repairs if practicable, so be ready for me to call that and fill in the line if you can."

Your post is good, I just want to add that more than just bigguns we should view the Goliaths as command and control infrastructure for the enemy since they've all have one of those relays embedded in them.
Valo's bottled-up frustrations from the last few seasons are at a breaking point. Every cautious action, every setback, every repressed trauma from the Fall of Gotland till now is at a boiling point. He'll go up to the Hersir and say, "Something BIG, and I mean BIG is coming in from the depths. Now, if you want me to, I'll stay and fight here. But the moment something comes from the depths I'll be going in ready to die. Or you can let me go with 1 or 2 people to try and check out whats down there."

Erik offers his runic bouncing tactical assault caber to Njal Ulfson. "I bet you can get good loft on one of these things. I might be pretty busy playing catch, so you can have this one, and my spare, if you like. The runes will want blood to get them going, if you don't mind."

Njal takes the caber and gives a nod, "Aye, can think of quite a few ways to use this, thank you evermuch."

Rikard snaps his gaze to Valo, glances to the sea, and bellows. "WARE THE WAVES! MOVEMENT BENEATH!" Loudly enough for all to hear.

Valo's stressing! Valo needs the go-ahead from the Hersir!

Edit: Fuck it! [X] Valo Shapeshift for underwater combat and goes in. Water-adapted eyes, Stronger Legs, and Webbed feet! (He's fighting with spear in hand)

Again, remember, any Norseman is going to be able to fight like a street-level superhero just by default. You can fight, but archery may be where you excel the best.

Yeah I get that, but I can manipulate wood, I might be able to make our best archers *Better* which would be very important for sniping.

"I'll give it a go" Rikard nods. "The important thing to fighting when you're outnumbered--from what I've been told--is to keep your back to a wall or a cliff or secured by your teams and focus on what's in front of you." He rests a hand on the pommel of his sword. "Don't count anything out while its still got enough pieces left to stab you either, Draugr Rules here, if it's still in one piece, it's still dangerous. Our job s to keep them from breaking past our defenses, rely on your comrades to guard the other sides, our job is to ensure not a single bloody bone-pile gets past us intact"

"Keep an eye out so that I can smash the bastards to bits without worry, I'll take the fore if you'll be leading, best to have us split the weight at least that much." Akali's voice booms in response not in disinterest or annoyance but in calm acceptance, Seeing Eyes were a boon not overlooked and he knew where his strengths lied, for now.

"Ready Yourselves, I'll be trying to smash the legs of as many bastards as I can do just make sure they don't get back up, crushing over piercing and don't get stabbed in the arse!"

Erik smiles and shifts his arms. A second caber appears out of nowhere, and he hands Njal that one too. Now that's taken care of!

(EDIT: I'm going to be going offline for the night soon. I may not be back, though then again I might, in a few hours' time. I might have a brief burst of activity around 7 AM EST, and then I'd be gone again until the evening EST. I've outlined Erik's general fighting tactics in my vote, so if anyone needs to look that up it's there, with the caveat that he's handed his assault cabers over to Njal Ulfson.)

Relief forces are intended to immediately go where needed. Reserves are supposed to do the same, but only if the Relief forces have been exhausted or they're ordered to, or that was my interpretation anyway.
So basically, the relief force is the reserve force you're expecting to need to commit, and the reserve force is the reserve force you're hoping not to have to commit?

When they appear on the horizon, Harald turns.

"Everyone, we must keep those Goliaths out of range of our ship.

We can replace any one of those buildings, and any one of us.

We cannot replace a single ship!!"

I'll conduct the first of the fights probably sometime tomorrow afternoon, Central Time. Because Kansas.

Relevant info we agreed on but might have gotten lost in the shuffle:

The Dino-Armor is possessed by Brynjar Bonespear, Grid Frostdottir, and Moli Spotlight.
The Seeress's Aspect Water was being shared out with the FLGs, but with more going to Group #3 given their intended role. Dunno how much of that we have, if you tell me I'll give you numbers.

And finally, a question: Is Valo back?
