Wolfwind is around Steinarr's age.

Horra's daughter is around your age.

I'll just go ahead and confirm that no, they are not in a relationship of that sort.

Sure, things like that happened in real life, but it's not in character for Wolfwind. Also I don't want to write that.

Fair. I still think they're conspiring, but that does make any romance a lot less likely even absent QM confirmation (I was aware of an age gap but wasn't aware it was quite that big...I was thinking it might be as little as 10 years, not the 30 years this indicates).

[X] Muna: Whistling Wind (Unlocks a Wind Hugareida)

[X] Yes

I think we need more variety in Hugareida then a generically good damage boost. In the last fight if we had some wind magic to mix in we would have had a better chance of catching Sten off guard. It also goes well against enemies that resist fire and we know there's at least one guy we'll have to face that is hard specced into countering our fire with illusions and water. Wind comboing with our fire is just icing.

Didn't we see a wind attack that bypassed our perfect defense? Something useful to work towards.

Anyway, might be wise to double tap Stealth then Deadman, all of the incentives are towards just not being noticed at all here, getting in a fight is a losing strategy.

If there's some sort of guardian construct/s parked right where we need to go, stealth might not be able to get us what we want no matter how good it is. I think keeping a combat shift up is a good idea.

Despite being tempted, I think KreenWarrior is right here that we should have something for combat. We can and will be using Hidden In Rags to aid our stealth, though that may or may not be useful here...

And, I mean, the hope is that there's not even anyone there to spot us for us to need to use Stealth on.

Yeah, wind-blades are a thing and give us a ranged attack for enemies who are, say, fire resistant...Gale is probably also good for forced repositioning and may have some flight-speed enhancers or other additional flight-based stuff...maybe general speed enhancers as well?

Huh. Would flying overhead and taking someone out with ranged attacks when they had no meaningful ranged attacks of their own be nid? I'm not talking about the punching down thing - I mean if we wound up going up against a near-peer opponent who happened to not yet have a meaningful ranged option.

I think it's fine as long as we challenge them on the ground, them not having anti air is a skill issue.

Should be fine. Using bows on people without ranged weapons is generally fine and this is just a more extreme version of that. We probably get less orthstirr for the victory due to using a cheap shot, but it shouldn't be, like, actively bad I don't think.

We could get some effective extra endurance from putting RS-layers (say 30 or so) under our Armor plus on top of it.

I wonder if Steinarr's Virthing now has an owl attached to it somewhere. Or rather has had for awhile. Not that we would see it.

Where is our Standstill represented in our Aspects anyway..?

Sten has giggatons of Orthsirr.. perhaps because he's been in Finland for so long, and it sorta qualifies as a 'raid'? Well, he did go on an actual raod afterwards.

Sten's Forgefire/Ironbloom 6 should equal to +32 dice, not 8 dice. Looks like bigger brother has been growing way faster than us.

I want access to Sten's sweet syncretic Cultivation.

Traditionally beavers are associated with productivity, "busy as a beaver" and all that.

And, uh, to medieval Christians they supposedly gnawed their testicles off and threw them to distract hunters, which symbolizes ??!!??

Symbolizes that fact that there testicle had medicinal properties.

Yeah, it's terrifying, because it means Sten just has to gesture with an Ironbloom Trick to whip out 32 fucking dice with it.

No fucking wonder he's considered 'Twice as strong', his minimum dice pool is 33 dice for an Ironbloom Trick.

Honestly, given that he's four years older than us it's about where I'd expect it to be. Like, that means he's earned an average of 60 Orthstirr a year for the last 10 years...we've probably done better than that since Quest start. We'd be north of 400 ourselves if there hadn't been an incident, and will be over 500 in four years even if we never did anything more than rebuild our farm.

The typo might be them being VI rather than IV rather than with the dice, IV would be +8 dice.

Probably doesn't stack with Saga Cultivation, sadly, or seemingly a Fylgja. Likely cuts him off from Seidr, too. And Frenzy.
