Yeah, our immediate priority is unfucking our Frenzy, if we can't figure out how to make that work for us instead of against us, we're already in a dead-end.

Notably, one neat thing I've noticed, is that we now have a Magical Plant that corresponds to each of our current Hugareida!

Pretty much. We'll see what comes up this turn in that regard.

Notably, one neat thing I've noticed, is that we now have a Magical Plant that corresponds to each of our current Hugareida!

Technically we only have one for both Campfire and Ignition, but yeah. It's nice.

Huh, on a related note.

Alloys @Imperial Fister , once we've made one, does it level up like any other Hugareida even though there's no Muna attached to it? Or are Alloys trained like Campfire is?

Well, typically, it's getting Rank 7 in an Attribute that starts unlocking the Real Bullshit, and we're on the cusp of that for Hugr.

And voting is now closed.

I'll post the child roll results once they're done.

Huh. I though we capped out at 6 normal traits and only 2 Recessives?

Well, regardless, I wonder what the interaction is between Stoic Silence (which makes you nearly fearless) and Hemophobia is.

Speak quietly and carry a big stick, obviously.
No blood if you don't break the skin, after all! :V

Beating people to death with a club definitely breaks the skin.

Fire Hugareidar!
No blood if all blood already boiled off.

This, however, seems like a more viable solution to Hemophobia. But that wasn't really what I was talking about, I was more going 'How do being fearless and having a phobia go together?'

Hah, he's Norse Caiphas Cain! I love it!

To elaborate, Beardless and Hemophobia would normally be a death sentence... But he has Stoic Calm, The Terror Bear's Loyalty, Leader, and Friendly. So they're just funny character quirks rather than crippling downsides. He's a character who prefers to solve problems with a good argument but if the chips are down and it's you and yours against the world, he won't back down.

But he is a fucking fantastic Skald if that's what he decides to do, and those skills lend themselves well to a character who's good at stirring the hearts and minds of others. He doesn't get riled up easily either, and his traits mean that picking fights is his last resort--but he has the mitigating traits to end them decisively.

He's going to go far!

I took TheCounts post as a joke and answered with a joke.

To be serious:
Could be that he is almost fearless, except for the Hemophobia, where he is just much more resistant than people without the calmness.

Like, seriously, this is the kind of guy who gets a Kenning called "The Beardless" and fucking owns it instead of as a mark of shame.

Like that one dude who was called "The Boneless" who still ended up roflstomping most of the British Isles. Ivar, wasn't it? Either way, Terror Bear's Loyalty and Stoic Calm means that he's got the tools to overcome his dislike for bloodshed when the chips are down, which are great mitigating traits.

What I'm trying to say is, Boy #3 is great and I have high hopes for his future!

That's fair. My own thought is that instead of being afraid he just finds blood viscerally disgusting, so he likes to avoid it...but that probably has the same basic result.
Yeah, the viscerally disgusting is something i took for granted coming with Hemophobia.
And that the interaction with fearless then is "does B3 have to throw-up/suffer a malus/be unable to interact" rolls get a bonus. Or he gets a composure roll at all where normal Hemophobes wouldn't get one.

Oh definitely, I'm voting him 'child most likely to use a polearm so the blood doesn't get on him when he's killing people'. With, y'know, all that implies.

I'm still a bit worried though about how hard the Malus Beardless is though, the lore suggests it's a damn near death sentence to be a man with it, but Halla being a woman was supposed to also drag her down, and as we've seen--enough early advantages can snowball into you being slotted into the "Weird Exception that proves the rule" category.

Are you going to call someone a little bitch if he's regularly dunking on people who do that and can probably kick the ass of most of your family if pressured? I mean, some people still will, but...

It's effectively on par with being female. He's thus no worse off than our daughter is. I think they'll both be fine all things considered, particularly given the whole 'Giant's Blood' thing (being well over 7 feet tall makes people a lot less willing to insult you)...it has also occurred to me that I suspect this boy may also take after his father in terms of Glima...you actually can kill people bloodlessly with that!

It also helps that his older siblings are the Murderkittens. As a solo combatant, I think he would have problems, but being an archer/tactician/PR while helping his family? I could see him coming into his own that way.
