Huh! Neat! Who should get it?

Also, apparently there's an auto-censor effect going on for telling people in the Norse System about how it goes if you didn't discover it yourself, huh.

Okay then, so, what are we missing with regards to the Aspect shenanigans?

@Imperial Fister , are we a step back from where we were? Or are we mostly just completely missing a key point?

Much to your chagrin, nothing seems to come of weaving just your virthing. Yet again, the sense that you're skipping a step passes through your being.
This is becoming more pointed.

Can we try weaving a hugareida in through with our aspects? I'm up for trying the blot this turn, making a sacrifice to bless our investigation into Horra and also trying to feel out the energy involved. Would put my Reward die to that.

Looking forward to hopefully uncovering the Heartroot next turn. Should we try planting a Danger Seed in the physical ground and see what comes?

You're trying to build a house without a foundation. That's all I'll say
Do we need a spirit loom/nalbinding tool? That might be stretching the metaphor too hard. Or do we need to mix in odr? That would make the first step nigh-impossible to complete safely, which doesn't mean the theory is wrong... Maybe my blot theory holds some water? 🤔

I still don't really grok the difference between orthstirr and aspect energy. Have we tried weaving in raw orthstirr in with the aspects?

Cant we swap reward dice for hints? Beacause if so id like to buy a hint with a dice.

What about Boy 2?
[ ] [Boy2] Hallrunr
And your daughter?
[ ][Girl] Eyvor
Do you want to give the puukko to one of your children?
[ ] Give it to Boy 2

My heart is on Boy2 being Hallrunr and him getting the puuko.
The rest I'm very open to changing my mind.

So weaving our orthstirr together is a step, but not the one we need to do next. Maybe if we feed our hearthsroot another Odr and it levels up we'll get another hint.

I'm not sure that works though? There has to be a way to initiate without committing suicide outside of a nearly irreplaceable set of circumstances.

Often, instead for the 'island'-meaning below, a connection to the name element AUJA is suggested. [1] [2]

The female equivalent name element is VÖR
In some combinations, the name element might be just a variant of VARD or be taken from other names ending with -var, where the V originally belongs to the first name element (which means the last element is really HER). [1] [2] [3] [4]
It might be related to Old High German wàr, wàri, Old Saxon wâr = 'true' [4]

For Training, I think you probably still should note the things we added only 1d6/Success to that actually go up a rank, just to help keep track of that.

(Improve Your Decent House: 5)6 Successes (Build Storehouse #2: 1, 4)3 Successes

Shouldn't the Storehouse have more successes than this? I think it should be +4 from the Tools and +2 from the Ox for +6 on top of the dice. This also shows only two dice...was the third die also a 1-2? That'd make the number make more sense though it still neglects the Ox.

(Meat-Keeping Sticks: 6x3, 5x5, 3x2, 2x3, 1x4)13 Successes (Exploding Charm: 6)4 Successes
...
(+5 Meat-Keeping Sticks)
(+1 Exploding Charm)

I think this should be 6-7 Meat-Keeping Sticks, we were told 1 per 2 successes and got one success last turn if those add up. Also...does the Workshop apply to these? If so, they should both have 2 more successes (and thus one more of each item), if not I think you had it do so in error last turn.

Stuff on vote and names forthcoming.

None of the above.

Here's a freebie; things don't hit as hard when you're ready for it

So wait, that's all we have to do? Repeat what we already did but since we know it's coming we can better handle it?

That we just can't weave our Aspects yet because we're not even at Phase 1?

Well, the Murderkittens are out, and we know of the risk. I guess we can try a controlled burn? Try to shut the gate on our own?

Yeah, I'm thinking that's the case. Get Aki and Abjorn and whatnot as our minders (We were told having people with us was important), and set a timer of, say, 30-40 minutes of 'Real Time'. If we haven't regained consciousness by then, we have them start trying to wake us up while Hallr starts working at Closing the Gate?

Should definitely explain what we've discovered so far as well. "I think I've figured something Important out that we were missing all this time. But I need to figure out how to do it safely before I can start telling others how to repeat it. Things didn't start going wrong until I'd been at it for an hour last time, right? Start trying to wake me up after 30 minutes, if that works and activates before the backlash hits, then we'll know what we can do later.

Boy 2?
He is by far my favorite to be next pc of the three.
And i think thread mostly agreed?
And it seems very fitting to give the tool to the next pc.

Also, Eayvor seems to have a bunch of possible interpretation.
But {luck/fortune} warrior does seem like a good name for her. And it would be in line with honoring predecessors. (And would be doing Blackhand a favor)

I admit, after all the dire warnings, "Do it again, but better" seems... anticlimactic.

Apparently having people with us Mattered. It might very well be that you need someone to interrupt before you dig too deep and that's the Proper Method. You need a Community to cultivate successfully--or at least to set first into the First Realm.

My only problem with Hallrunr is that it really doesnt flow of the tongue at all.

Huh, on further thought.

That might very well be the Landmine that the Enemy has dropped. If discussing Norse Cultivation with people who aren't properly Cultivating yet is redacted, then how can you get a community around you who'll help you out in the critical initial breakthrough? You'd need people who trust you absolutely to do Stupid Shit and still trust you know what you're doing.

Presumably, further steps work in a similar fashion. Getting increasingly Vicious the further along you go.

Okay, so the "word that cannot be heard" effect seems similar to the 'fnord' effect, which is a word that cannot be consciously perceived and invokes unease in its place. "Fnord" is mostly known from the Illuminatus! trilogy, but actually derives from the Principia Discordia. Which is a religious text regarding the Goddess Eris, who I have previously theorized might be the Enemy or an aspect or member thereof.
