You do realize that literally everyone in the Hading knows we have Dressed in Rags, right? This feels rather unsafe.

The idea is to combine it with mundane stealth and probably mostly only in public...I'll make it clearer we're trying to be real careful there.

EDIT: And clarified that we're generally doing that only when it's low risk.

I was sort of assuming we would be using our owl form whilst we did this, sorry for not putting it in. Also ideally, layered Seidr to render us invisible without extensive precautions. Didn't really get further with that, but it might be worth devoting one of our research actions towards stealth Seidr that we use this turn. It'll be generally useful, but especially right now.

Also, whilst I remember, another Alloy idea I had for when we get a chance - Stoking Engage and our Kindle-Spinners. Given we have them Perfected, they should theoretically not be much more exerting to use than our Basic Atacks... It's time for Halla to harness the awesome power of Vegeta's Technique!

I was also thinking mostly owl, depending, and will note that in the plan. Generally, seidr has to be learned like a Trick, and thus we need to figure it out (possibly via research) then actually grab that...research alone wouldn't do it.

Possible as an option, yeah.

Oh! That reminds me: @Imperial Fister is the end of this turn when our Rewrites refresh? If we want to use one right before that would it need to be this turn?

Everyone knows we have an owl too, I'm pretty sure. I'm not particularly against surveillance but it is a risk. If an owl is seen anywhere near Dorri he might get spooked that we are on to him.

Also, if we're speccing for it, we can absolutely get some silly Stealth Scores by using all of the shapeshifts on that.

"Why yes, I am, in fact, a normal owl just hanging out" level Stealth Scores.

The owl actually maxes out at 'only' 68d (because it can only use its own Shapeshift slots). Our personal stealth can go much higher than that (up to 153d), but we are likely more distinctive when spotted, at least in the wilderness.

@Imperial Fister

Would now be a bad time to get updates on:

1) Kurt and Haydis' relationship with us now that we gave them a baby?
2) Whether giving high weapons/reforging of armor to Vagn, Tryggr and Trausti improved their relationship with us? I imagine they might have sung our praises after our stuff performed really well in the war arc.
3) We might be enemies with Dorri, but he still owes us for the deal where we give him stuff.

I want to spend time doing things other than just being paranoid, to note. I don't think it's wrong to spend our one action on it this turn, but if we end up spending all our actions on it going forward it'll be... stressful.

And there's a ton of value in just... having time to do things like craft things that are the best or make tons of tools for more work dice and stuff.

Next round will at least have the Thing to distract us.

Oh, and something from the discord: IF has politely asked us to postpone tournament plans, because they feel they will burn out if we push it through as it is, and would rather do a tournament arc when they want to, instead.

Speaking as the usual plan-maker I'm sort of tentatively planning on our Investigation Stuff to generally be one action per turn at most, though it heavily depends on what the results of our surveillance are. Also, some of them are going to be social actions (we have one of those coming up with Buri and probably one with Hasvir the Younger...having Hasvir the Elder's killer show up asking for help is likely to be awkward and problematic unless we get some of his family involved). I dunno if that's better, but it's a change at least...spending one action a turn just doing surveillance does not seem productive.

And also yes, I'd love to slow down a tad, but it's hard to stop entirely for more than a turn at a time given the stakes.

[X] Plan Fylgja Reveals

I like this plan, but i have some questions.

Are we going to offer Infusions again to our Retainers? Especialy the new ones and the ones who didn't take them before?

Now that they have seen its safe, they should be more willing to accept them.

And also, will we talk with the Slavic Scholar and see what he can teach us? Maybe he knows some other languages we can learn. Those are always useful to learn because they carry over to the next life.

We can also ask Halfdan to teach us Greek, since we will have to talk with him anyway abaout helping us against Dorri.

That was always conditional to swearing to us, but yes, we'll make that offer again at some point. Dunno exactly when.

Yeah, language studies from both these people are very much on the agenda. I suspect that trying to learn other languages the same turn as the In Depth Dive Into Latin would not be the best idea, though. We might also need to wait for the Slavic Scholar to learn Norse, though I'm less sure there.
