I'd like to add another point to consider. It's kinda...extreme but IF said we could get the info from Dorri. We know some of the things done to Eric. We could potentially "break" Dorri for the information.

Edit: I do not advocate nor condone Torture. I'm just putting the option on the table.

That would mean that we would have already defeated Dorri, wich would make the information useless.

Also, torture is a really bad method to get reliable information.

If somebody dosen't say anything after a death threat, then they either don't know anything or are crazy.

The information is almost certainly about Drysalt, not Dorri, as Dorri was a child when Solrun received it. Defeating Dorri without defeating Drysalt seems very possible.

Torture's not great at getting reliable intelligence, no, which is why I suggested some alternatives...

do we even know how powerful Drysalt is compared to known power ranking? like, very powerful and easily dwarfs most warriors we saw or heard of. but how does he compares to the most powerful warriors we met? the likes of Blackhand, or Corpsemaker, or Careful stepper?
the most powerful entity we ever met was Thor, which likely won't have any more trouble swatting drysalt aside than he would have with us. but thats Thor.

I asked on discord "By the way IF how would Last Stand Steinarr match up against Blackhand is his late 20s or Drysalt?"

His response was "Lost to Drysalt, won against Blackhand"

So… he's pretty strong.

In addition to the bit alexthealright mentions, Hasvir failed to kill Drysalt and gave post-40 Blackhand a very close fight. That's probably pre-Ilmarinen's Forge, but still 'been an Odr Cultivator for 30 years' Blackhand. Drysalt is powerful and dangerous.

Now, we do have a Steelfather with a vested interest in beating him (Corpsemaker) so we probably don't need to fight him alone, but still.

[X] Refuse her charge and let her live
In the saga of halla, I'd rather the tale be that she died because she refused to have a friend sacrifice themselves for her, instead of being that she let that friend die because she was scared about not knowing what she would have to say.

I'd argue that this is more than just us being scared of not knowing what Solrun has to say. As much as I hate to say it, I'd rather we learn what Solrun has to say, rather than die as a result of lacking crucial information. Given how Solrun is willing to die for it, it's most probably something important.

Nice! Have a reward dice
We were discussing Vidar in the discord recently, so I decided to write a comedic set of scenes to explain his absences from Steinnar moments, based off the joke I made on him having Zoro level directional sense;
Very cool and thank you! Have 2 reward dice.
Hey @Imperial Fister if we got an "answer" from Dorri could we then have Solrun confirm or deny if the information was accurate?
Lmao, no. You folks can't have your cake and eat it too.

Alright, how is everyone feeling? Ready to carry on or would you like some more time to think and discuss?

I worry about people being upset they didn't get to vote, but another hour probably doesn't change anything. Longer really might, though, the vote is fairly close. On the other hand maybe that's wishful thinking since my preferred option is not winning right now, I dunno.

I'm ready to move on I think, everyone who usually weighs in has had a chance to I think.

how does this vote work with the concept of fated days actually? if she dies from the oathbreaking and its true death, then it was her fated day anyway no? and she will die anyway that day?

IF answered this. The oathbreaking makes her soul unreachable even if it's not her Fated Day. So this is probably not her Fated Day but she'll die and not come back anyway if she dies from that.

Halla will die one way or another, hopefully it will be a grand death that outshines her father, but it's going to happen. I don't think that halla would be comfortable living because someone else fell on the sword for her, because there is a chance that we will live or find out the information without her dying like this. Not if it's her choice, not after she was trying to invite this women to be part of her family.

Now, if Solrun chosen to tell us anyway, chooses to pick this as her dying place, that's something else. But if it's Halla's choice I think she would rather take the risk. She's too loyal to do otherwise. And honestly so am I.

Besides, Solrun is really helpful in the meanwhile and her life might not be worth this information. Just her far sight has can be crazy useful.

@Imperial Fister

I have five reward dice now, between patreon and the omake, so I'm just gonna ask a series of questions related to a topic I'm interested in: animal companions. Feel free to take as many or all dice to answer whichever of these you think are most worthwhile.

How similar is Bear cultivation to Norse Cultivation? Or does Bjorney just have Norse cultivation because he's a norse bear? Are there special rules for a Norse Bear cultivator, re: Nid or Kunna access? Can he gain Orthstirr in the same way we can?

If Bjorney uses a variant of of Norse cultivation, does he have a Fyljga stat? Is his Fyljga even veiled, or does he always have the Bear benefits? Can we unveil it - and if so, is it always a bear? Can they raise the stat to gain the evolution benefits of a Fyljga, be it veiled or not? If they can, does that change their physical form - would a dog Evolve into a stone dog, like Steinnar's Fyljga did?

And of course; would it be theoretically possible to make Norsely Companions, based off Knightly Companions?

Given that it's a bit late in the day, I'm going to give it till the usual time tomorrow and then call the vote.

Animals of a culture follow that culture's cultivation method. There isn't any such thing as 'bear cultivation' because there isn't a 'bear culture'.

He can, yes.

He does

There are not, no.

Animals don't so much have a fylgja stat as they do an as of yet unnamed 'growth' stat. Bjorney's 'fylgja' will always be a bear because he is a bear and it starts 'unveiled', thus granting him its benefits from birth.
Can they raise the stat to gain the evolution benefits of a Fyljga, be it veiled or not? If they can, does that change their physical form - would a dog Evolve into a stone dog, like Steinnar's Fyljga did?
This is where wacky creatures come from
And of course; would it be theoretically possible to make Norsely Companions, based off Knightly Companions?
Theoretically, yes!

And that's 4 Reward Dice, leaving you with one left over.
