Alright, jokes aside, I think these are the questions we need answered:

[X] How is fighting Slavic cultivators different from fighting Norsemen? Are they better at bursting out all their power, better endurance, more magic or less? What are the differences?
[X] How do they interact with Perfect effects, in particular?
[X] Are there different types of Slavic cultivators and if so what are the differences?
[X] What powers their cultivation, as Orthstirr does for ours?
[X] What is dealing with them like, are they honorable in their own way, and if so how does their honor differ from ours?

I think the first three are essential to fighting them, and the last two to understanding how to deal with them.

BTW how is odr cultivation done in a journey? I remember something about cultivation on a boat instead of in our homestead?

Is it an action we take or do we need anything else? (maybe a use of rewrite to allow the boat to be used in the place of the house? Or in order to substitute someone else house to ours?). because considering how much XP generation we can get I'm wandering if the same would be true for odr an if we might be able to find enuch to get to all infusion's we can to 8 or 9 (which should be nice as we get more uses of rewrite -IIRC- and all the other benefits)

We are considered to automatically take the time just like at home, it's presumably, like, an hour of meditation a day or something, and it gives us 1/10 the normal amount per day (so 5 Odr a day). That amount was reduced by spending Odr on the Silver-Tongue checks this time (we gained 25 but spent 15 of it)...we could reduce that expenditure next time but there are risks.

Looking at some math, with another die on the rolls (from having raised Hugr) we can drop it to 2 Odr per day on Silver-Tongue going forward with marginal losses in odds of success.

Ah well so were looking at what 80 or so odr over the course of this voyage? assuming we don't spend more.

Something in the vicinity of 80-100 yeah. I think spending some on the Silver-Tongue checks is worth it, but dropping from 3 per to 2 per is probably fine. That's still between 48 and 60 Odr gained, and more than gets us to the point we can burn 128 on Hugr Infusion 8, which is the next big expenditure there, I think.

Hey Sten.

You know back with the Troll on dad's farm, you said you sent messengers to me that never arrived. Were they, like, Finnish wizardry kind of messengers, or like, normal kind of messengers? Did you ever find out what happened to them? How they were stopped?

I haven't seen this brought up (might have missed), but what if Pursuers are Steelfathers? That seems like a suitably epic escalation above giants and it would make sense for what the enemy gets out of the deal (beyond steel getting stronger/more common). Mercenary work is part of Norse culture, after all.

"I assume that the troll ate them, but I summoned spirits of the forge to carry the message to you. And yes, they were summoned with my 'Finnish Wizardry'."
