Currently, Sigurdr is in the lead, I think, and the triplets will likely be hanging out together, so Bjorney would definitely be in that version. The other main contender is one of the twins. Eyvor is possible, but may have too much in common with Halla...we want something a tad different, I think.

Sigurdr is definitely at the bottom for me, but I guess I can see why people would like him. My thoughts on each kid;

Asgeirr: The most Vikingr of the options, most likely. He'd be a great change of pace if we wanted to make a less social butterfly more traditional character. He's big and brash and openly violent in ways that have been sometimes-negative and already is learning Hugareida, which is neat (unlocked by jumping into a forge). Probably the most different from Halla from what we've seen so far. The personality traits he was assigned were Religious and Cheerful, so he'll be partying and praising the Gods.

Sigurdr: Male Halla(?), a precociously smart and friendly kid despite his stoicism. Definitely the most friendly of the kids so far though, with the most friends. We gave him our work knife and he named it and it is his friend. Don't have many other memories of his stuff so far. Personality traits thus assigned are Heroic and Passionate, so... pretty similar to Halla, I feel. Those two words are probably what I'd use for her. Biggest difference from Halla is that he wants to travel and see the world, while Halla has lived most of her life in one place.

Eyvor: Female Abjorn, likes to fight as much as Asgeirr does (or more), but she's not quite as bad at holding her temper, so she's better at not hurting people. Can/does wrestle the other boys into submission though. We let her hold a cool sword for like 5 minutes and she said 'mine now' (creative interpretation of us finding out she has a huge talent for swords). Found and adopted a bear cub whose mom was dead. Personality traits of: Reserved, and Serious. So not quite as fun loving a person as the other two, or as expressive, but with some interesting possibilities. She's literally Abjorn-Quest as a woman.

Hallbjorn: Doesn't actually have much/any personality on screen yet, since baby/toddler. But trait wise he has every single basic '+1 to X and easier to raise' trait, and is a born Leader and Poet... but is also a Beardless Hemophobe. Seems like sort of a challenge run in terms of 'fitting what our culture wants', but with the bonuses maybe overwhelming those. If any of the kids are going to pursue the path of a Skald, it might be Hallbjorn. Personality traits assigned: Considerate animal lover. So super-pets plan might work with him! I'd be interested in him because I think playing a Skald would be a cool twist.

The twins: (Steinulfr and Asveig ) A boy and a girl who both are disconcerting weird babies with weird magic eyes from when we ate the heart of a Fenriskin. No real onscreen personality yet, but they're weird magical kids with shadowy shrouds and weird eyes and are explicitly Oddities. Either one of them seems like they'd be interesting, but no real info to go off of. They are the only two Born With Hammer In Hand, so if we wanna keep crafting this is a big bonus. I'm guessing these two are gonna end up being creepy twins with creepy twin powers, two halves of one soul etc, so picking either one will probably guarantee the other being around and present.

After writing that out, I think my current rankings would go Hallbjorn > Eyvor > A twin > Asgeir > Sigurdr

Sigurdr might just be too protagonist coded for me.

Well.... that puts the arming request in a new light. A red light, powered via rage, but it is a new light.

So Dorri is working for Drysalt? I guess? That's the only way that seems to make sense.

I...have no idea what to ask next, honestly. We need to know what the connection actually is between Drysalt and Dorri, but I don't know how to phrase that.

Corpsemaker said that Dorri intentionally didn't let him know that the raid was coming, thus his men not being ready to defend Hading. We didn't believe him.

It could be that the Divination is placing blame on him for that... or it could be as you said, and Drysalt is straight up in control. Which also puts another reason on why Corpsemaker might not have been lying about Dorri being bad news and that their power struggles are legitimate, and how we should help Corpsemaker.

... It doesn't make sense, where'd he get the money for it?

Drysalt? We absolutely knew he was involved, but how does Dorri come in?

I don't like where this is going at all. Is it even possible to spoof Divinations like this?

Yule Divination
In a secluded spot far away from the laughter and festivities of Yule, you find yourself in the company of swaying trees and curious creatures. Squirrels watch with cheeks full of their winter store as you walk under the canopy above. Birds chirp as they fly about overhead, the complex dance of their courtship a sight to behold. Even a noble elk stops to watch as you come to a stop before an old, gnarled oak.

Kneeling down before the wisdom of the Gods, you close your eyes, reach inside the bag at your side, and pull out two sticks.

Drysalt Hadingsbane...

...and Dorri Rattlespear.

As you stare at the names written in runes on the wood of an ash, you struggle to keep yourself contained. Flushing your emotions with a use of your soul's ice, you consider what the names on the sticks mean.

What are your next questions?

AN: Not much to say here other then that I wish to get one more update out today.

No moratorium and short vote.
Please include the exact question somewhere in the update. It's quite confusing as it is

Or alternately, it could even be that "Dorri's money was used to pay for it without his consent". It'd still be his money that paid for it, but it would have been stolen from him because of his own lack of care, making him partially culpable.

So Dorri is working for Drysalt? I guess? That's the only way that seems to make sense.
Hmmm.. looking at the question asked (being who heired someone to kill stainer) it could be that he in the past hire someone to kill him and that's what the divination means but if that was the case I would figure that the someone else lot would also be drawn.

It could also be that shapeshifters draw more then just someone face but also their essence when shapeshifting to someone and if so it's pointing to the shapeshifter.

It might be that someone whose working for dorri also worked for drysolt and used his name but (again) I would figure that the someone else lot would also be drawn if that was the case.

It could also be that drysolt paid for the hiring (or the messenger who hired) by promising him land/ something of dori and as such it counted as also being hired by him although if it was land I would figure that corpsmaker lot would also be drawn.

Do we go with 9 questions as well?
9 questions, each with a pouch for answers, holding 9 possibilities...

Do we as the reason/relationship? Like, ally, enemy and such?
...oh, oh shit
Did Dori got replaced by the Doppelganger?

I dunno how the divination stuff really works, but I'd like to just ask a basic question if someone wants to figure out how to word it better/justify it.

Just something like:

Is Dorri Rattlespear a threat to my family?

It might hit a false positive (because 'yes, if you stand against him with Corpsemaker and lose' gets shortened to 'yes') but I feel like it's the most pertinent question. Especially before we go on any long trips to Gotland.

Attempt divination to determine who hired people to kill Steinarr
This question isn't very vague about agency, honestly

One way or another, Dorri was a party to it. Meaning that the "no face and no name" is the obvious avenue to pursue next

Ask if Dorri Rattlespear IS OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "a man with no face and no name", and that will settle it once and for all

[X] "Was Dorri knowingly working with Drysalt in that regard?"
