Given that, normally, such things are decided at conception, nothing would happen. However, given the unique circumstances surrounding this one, well, I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say that nothing bad will happen. In fact, it could be rather cool! (Depending, of course, on what one thinks is 'cool' or not.)
Between Asgeirr and Shadow kid who would get the stronger bonus?

Right now going home is winning, of people want to stay and talk with the Headman they should vote for it. Not that going home would be a catastrophe, but more land would be nice for a few different reasons and trading in our dwarf coins for cash seems good as well.

Nice! Shadow-related synergy bonus it is. We just need to come up with something else for Asgeirr...I'm sure something will come to mind at some point.
Custom made living weapon, that can grow with him?

Also: need to do the "invest Odr into animal breeding" experiment to see if it is save to use Odr in conception, just to be sure if it gives any bonuses.

That's one possibility, but I'm not sure we want to aim for that with all the kids...what if they don't get along with the weapon or like the form it takes? The puuko is designed for this by someone better than we are...I'm skeptical a version made by us would compare very well.

Yeah, it's on the list. We still have a bunch of alloy research to do right now, among other things, so something only useful in the very long term like this goes temporarily on the back burner, I think, but it's still very much on the list within the next year or so just...a tad lower on it.

[X] DeadmanwalkingXI

There isn't, I'm just playing around a little bit ;P

Anyways, Unknown Child will have the more powerful bonus.
If I wasn't already sold on us eating it for Mystery Box reasons, this would do it.

IF, is the bonus being stronger just because he gets it when he is younger than Asgeirr, and the younger you are the more time you have to work on stuff?
hell yeah. super shadow child

Can't say, spoilers ;P

Anyways, I'll give you another 30 minutes. However, I'm a little uncertain on my ability to do another update, so we'll have to see how things work out

I 100% hope that Unnamed Mystery Child will get his own version of Blackhand, except it's just a very confused Moonless Night.

THE SEQUEL NOBODY EXPECTED

*Checks the add-ons*
*Sees 'spend the night at Eric's house'*
*Adds one (1) marker to the 'QM's Ire' tracker*

  • [X] Go meet with the Headsman for some purpose or another
-[X] See about changing our dwarf coins for silver and buying some more land
-[X] Send our people home (except Abjorn if he's needed for the above)
-[X] Stay the night at Eric's place and fly back in the morning
    [X] Go home
[X] Go meet with the Headsman for some purpose or another

If you're not okay with it, then don't allow it, "Go home" was winning until "Oh hey we can just stay at Eric's place" was pushed again IIRC.

Or at least, was holding its own.

I think it's more "They're cheesing the mechanic that's supposed to make taking that last action in town a risk"

The QM is naturally irritated by it, they might have allowed it once, but that doesn't mean it invalidates the entire mechanic and therefore can be done every time without consequence. It's the very definition of "Give an inch and they take a mile"
