Huh. Muna can raise your training rate too?
Yes, muna can do a lot of things. What kind of hugareida did you think first kill muna gave? The answer is that it doesn't give one (depending on circumstance, of course. If you burn someone to death that's going to give you a fire hugareida).

Typically, first kill muna gives you a Twist or something (You don't know what Twists are, get one to find out)
And Training Tools are a thing?
Absolutely. An example of which would be the Mead of Poetry or water from Mimir's Well. Now, both of those things aren't exactly very common (at all) but lesser things exist.

Ooof.

I suddenly feel our build is a lot worse than I thought it was, if our only Training Boosts are from other people. Admittedly, Steinarr doubles our base Training pool, but I don't think I've seen someone waving more death flags around in a quest.

That aside, are we going to find out about that thing you alluded to regarding similar Hugareida happening? Or is Ignition unique in this branch of the family? I don't think it'll be weak given the circumstances we gained it in, but it's certainly no Wildfire.

Nah, you're very strong for your age. You just had a late start thanks to being a woman and all that.

Also, it's your first character. You're bound to make mistakes. Think of this as less specifically Halla's story but more the story of you and your descendants. This section is about Halla, but the story is about her family.

Age 16
By adulthood at Age 16 it is expected, though rarely reached, that a Norseman will have 4-5 Hamr and 3-4 Hugr. The normal amount of orthstirr a Norseman will have at 16 is somewhere between 20 and 30 while having 10-15 dice in their combat pool.

They'll probably be Rank 2 or 3 in a few combat skills as well as Rank 2 or 3 in a smattering of non-combat skills. They'll likely have a 4 in something like Farming or Labor, sometimes both.

They'll likely know about 7 or 8 tricks and might even have started to master one or two of them.
I mean, I don't think our build can be bad, we've blown past several benchmarks which are "rarely achieved" for our age and have four more years to hit the Age 20 benchmarks.

Mmm, I know, just bugs my perfectionist tendencies. I'm just worried about watching our Training grind to a halt because we weren't able to secure any independent training modifiers.

There is no weak hugareida, just weak applications of it. Ignition is great for explosions but not so much for burning a forest down. Wildfire can't create good explosions but you'd better believe that it's your guy if you need something burnt down. Neither of them are very good for practical, everyday uses. If you try and start a cooking fire with Ignition, you're gonna flash-cook the meat while Wildfire will burn down the house.

...

Explosion you say?

Hmm I wonder if we can increase the potency by stuffing Ignite inside a box of Standstill and increasing the pressure till Standstill breaks? Make a bomb or shaped explosive?

Huh. Does this imply then that we can get Fire Hugareida Exclusive Training Dice out of Hallr then?

Sounds like an Alloying problem, but even then, I'm not sure we're immune to our own power, given how our Trait gives us the Required Secondary Powers of Fire Resistance.

I don't know? I've mostly just been a spectator for the last while. Huh, if we want to get that, we have to ask about it, right?

Well, we'll be spending time with Aki next turn, I can adjust to see about poking Hallr for Ignition Training.

EDIT: Plan revised, getting some training dice for Ignition would be a godsend to our hopes of being able to kill the probably-snake.

Um, guys are we not going to wrote the poetry with our peotic inspiration? That sounds like a huge source of orthstirr. We should get it done as soon as possible so we can get the most benefit if there is amy sort recurring orthstirr as a reward.
