There's always the chance that breaking the wood will keep the draugr alive, but render it un-controlled. Which would probably leave it less dangerous, so it's still worth doing. In any case, there's no point overlooking a potential weak-spot because it *might* be dangerous when we don't know it is.

I suspect it will at least deprive it of orthstirr since it probably severs the link to the one who raised it, which seems very worthwhile.

Yeah, I ain't got nothin'. I don't want to get too close to it, but at the same time I'm wary of that ice hugareida it's got. I would suggest attempting to create an opening by feinting at its (presumed) weak point, but that seems like an incredibly poor idea, considering we know nothing about it's combat capabilities and it's currently feigning weakness.

[X] Plan Right In The Face
-[X] Tap Frami, Virthing, and Saemd (+46 Orthstirr)
-[X] Max out our combat dice pool (-18 Orthstirr)
-[X] 23d6 Attack (all tricks)
-[X] 9d6 Defense (all tricks)
-[X] 0d6 Intercept
-[X] Spend 2 Orthstirr using Reinforce Shield on her armor (-2 Orthstirr)
-[X] In response to its first real attack, use Inertia-Arresting Throw 9d6 (11d6 with Hugareida) to defensively trap both of its weapons (-6 Orthstirr), then, while it is trapped, make an 9d6 Honed Power Chop (-2 Orthstirr) directly into the talisman in its mouth (and through into its mouth if possible), then three more 5d6 Power Chops directly into its face aiming for the rune (-3 Orthstirr)
-[X] In response to attacks after the first, try to use Contested Movement (-3 Orthstirr) which should work vs. two attacks and, if the attack seems dangerous, our Reinforce Shield has been broken, and that doesn't work, use Halting Vortex (-8 Orthstirr).
-[X] Tactics - Basically, just close the distance while keeping one hand free but don't attack first, waiting for the draugr to attempt an attack, and then use a powerful Inertia-Arresting Throw to stop the attack in its tracks and trap the draugr and then hit it repeatedly in the face really hard. It's a simple plan, but it seems like a decent one.

So yeah, this is what I got. It's very aggressive, but the hope is that the initial inertia-arresting throw damages its offensive capabilities and we do have some defenses lined up even in this plan.

EDIT: I clarified the wording slightly and fixed a typo, plan unchanged.

I like it. It might be better to save a *little* more for defense, but we've got a full Gambeson and defensive tricks, so hopefully it pays off.

i know its the last fight, but seriously? especially when the spar with gabriel is ambigious when it happened?
We will sprain our orthstirr or something....

We've been given no indications that's even anything resembling a risk, and we need all the orthstirr we can get in this fight to the death. The downside of doing this is that it blows all of our reserves...but I think we kind of just have to deal with that given the situation.

Yup, just gotta make sure we aren't spending all our gas on it, just to be sure we can put it down after if the 'weak spot' wasn't actually one.

Worth a shot, how much gas do we have in the tank if that fails?

Actually a lot unless we wind up needing to burn a bunch of Halting Vortexes.

We have, I believe, 55 orthstirr before doing things, and the non-conditional parts of the plan are only -13 leaving a full 42. That'll definitely get reduced by at least one Contested Movement, I suspect, and maybe some Halting Vortexes, but it should leave a fair bit in the tank. Something real close to that, anyway.

Good news at least, if this was a targetted hit (Which it looks to be), they probably haven't anticipated our Hugareida advancing to the point where we can lock down two weapons instead of one.

The tale ends with the Outlaw harassing the heroes, only to be impaled on the horns of one of his own creations.

It's got four legs and gray, wrinkled skin. A pair of tusks grow out from its face like a boar, but what kind of boar has flappy ears bigger than shields and an arm on its face? It towers over most buildings — how you missed it you're not sure — and it seems rather bored and out of place. There's a spark of intelligence to those eyes, like it knows more than it lets on.
So...elephant bossfight that can be subverted later?

If Halla survives this she should put that poetry skill to work. The story would probably spread well. Also glad we voted to stay past dark, makes for a cool encounter.
