No, those are the vampires that live at the top of the spires and look down at the common people (i.e. citizens who cannot be trusted to handle democracy) either snobbishly or with the same curiosity one would look at an ant farm.

Yeah, the senators are more in line with the roving bands of vicious, cannibalistic mutants.

Well, its not only the Senators that do that. There is also Gulan. *glances at a few old and hilarious omakes on the old thread*

So I do have Internet after all, albeit in limited amounts because my laptop's breaking down. I didn't really expect my variant of Publicola's plan to win, and am surprised how close it got, but I wonder what -

Ciaran's Conundrums: 95 + 5 + 20 + 34 + 12 + 4 = 170!!!

...hehehehehe.

Legacy of Madmen uber-critting is excellent as well, though apparently I'm the only person who isn't a fan of HK-47. Which is not to say I'm complaining about those rolls, because... well, those rolls.

And I have no idea what that 170 is going to translate into in-universe. But I'm looking forward to finding out.

It means we got him hook line and sinker my friend.

I would not like to bother you @Dr. Snark , but I have to ask if there is any ETA for the results of this turn.

It´s only that I am extremely hyped with these results, and I´m pretty sure the rest of the readers are too.

I totally understand. To be honest my main reason for delaying is three twofold:

1. I'm trying to figure out what the rewards for some of the critted actions should be as well as which actions should get interludes.
2. My muse has been giving me great ideas for the Anakin thing!...and not much else. Which is bad because I definitely want to save that for last no matter what. Putting that one first goes against every instinct in my body-I want to generate tension for that dammit!
3. Turns out games have been really good lately and distracting me wait what i'd never let myself be led astray by other things

In all sincerity though I plan on at least getting the start of the madness out by the end of this weekend.

NO PLEASE! THE ANAKIN THING IS SOMETHING I NEED ON A LEVEL I NEVER KNEW!!!

Look, they don't all have to get full on interludes. Considering how common crits are becoming it might make sense to base whether something gets an interlude on how important it is and how easy it is for you to write it. I don't know about the rest of the you, but I would happily trade a half-assed and forced interlude that could just as well been summed up in the end turn results for a quicker update speed.

In all honesty I'm amazed this thread has even gotten this far. I keep expecting to look at it one day and find out you broke. You must be made of quite the stern stuff.

Oh don't worry, I'm not writing interludes for everything, and the one I know for a fact I'm putting in (aside from the Anakin one obviously) is going to cover multiple actions that critted. (No prizes for figuring out which ones.)

And have more faith in me...or at least faith in my ability to enjoy writing this insanity out. Not only am I having waaaay too much fun writing and plotting, but I'd never just let this die after seeing how much people have been enjoying themselves.

For the Anakin Interlude, I might introduce him to HK-47 and Cheriss and give him a history lesson on Revan. Since he really likes droids and might be very interest in learning mechu-daru and give a few improvements to R2-D2. Imagine how hilarious it would be to have R2-D2 and HK-47 team up with each other and do some crazy shit. The Assassin droid might actually respect the Astromech companion more than C-3PO ever did.

Anakin might also be interested in the force-enabled cybernetics if he still lost his arm. I don't recall if he lost his hand this time around.

It would be a stretch to say that HK-47 has ever respected astromech droids, but T3-M4 definitely taught him to be wary of them.

T3 was Revan's personal astromech, which he stole off of a Taris crimelord. Basically, imagine R2-D2 with far less ethics, a meaner attitude, a blaster and a shock prod overengineered by Revan to be powerful enough that that the little bastard could knock a rancor on its ass if he wanted to.

1. I'm trying to figure out what the rewards for some of the critted actions should be as well as which actions should get interludes.
I can't give recommendations for rewards, but I can give recommendations for actions which don't need interludes:
Wookieetarian Action - It's just regular military action with greater success than usual. They happen often, so it's not worth it.
The Legacy Of Madmen - It super-critted, but the big obstacle is giant worms in space. They're not an interesting opponent. You'll spend far time trying to make it work than you should and it simply will not be worth the increased wait time until the next update.
Sienar Custom Vessel: Personalized Courier Ships - It's just buying a bunch of ships.
The Codebreaker's Frying Pan - The last time you tried writing an action scene with the Silencer you spent a week with writer's block. That's reason enough not to make this an interlude, but there's more. It didn't roll high, the last bit in the event chain didn't have an interlude, and this action is of questionable interlude-worthiness to begin with.
Clone Resources - Not interesting enough for an interlude. Resignation Programs got away with it because it was a chance to showcase Ventress's character development, but Clone Resources has nothing.
EDIT: Unless you're planning to put them all in a single interlude, add Cord of Three Strands, Bank of Ciaran, and Plucking a Clovis to the list. If you can't immediately think of something interesting to do with For Bothawui's Eyes Only, I recommend not interluding it either.

2. My muse has been giving me great ideas for the Anakin thing!...and not much else. Which is bad because I definitely want to save that for last no matter what. Putting that one first goes against every instinct in my body-I want to generate tension for that dammit!
Write the Anakin update but don't post it. Strike while the iron's hot. You don't want to go back to it after who knows how many weeks with a diminished passion. Also, it's holding up the rest of the updates so you might as well get it out of the way so it stops bothering you. Slow updates significantly decrease the player's enjoyment of a Quest. Quick updates significantly increase it.

So does anyone think that Ciaran will pull a Traya and get him to slowly betray the Jedi Order and create a new Force faction? He will need a secret identify. Something that is very mysterious and unlikely to have the Jedi learn what he is doing in secret. What to do...I know!

A mysterious mask figure has appeared and is making waves. Killing dark acolytes and starting a new jedi movement called...lets say the Revanchist, that sounds awesome. He will be on a grand crusade to fight against the Dark Side and help the helpless. Coincidently, Slavery takes a big hit from his actions, but who cares about slavers. All while gathering power for an unknown goal. But he is not doing anything to harm the Jedi or Republic so there is little that can be legally done to stop him. Especially with the Clone Wars in full swing.

No one would ever suspect that Golden Boy Anakin would wear a dark outfit and wield a red lightsaber. It is foolproof.

Are there dark acolytes around the Jedi know about?

Anyone training under Dooku would be considered one. Even though we butterflied a few canon members on our side, it doesn't mean he wouldn't find others.

Also, dark acolytes have existed for a long time and occasionally show up. They are also known as Dark Jedi, but the terminology has never been specific. Sith are considered completely different from someone that just falls to the Dark Side. Which explains why they consider the Sith to be gone.

There are also dark places like Korriban that are well known to be bad places that Jedi generally avoid that place whenever possible. Along with other planets from the Old Republic era that are also likely to be as bad. But those threats were often too minor and isolated to be that concerning to the Jedi. Since the Jedi Order wants to distance themselves from anything involving the Dark Side, these places have never been cleaned up in the thousands of years since. They just ignore their existence.

As most can guess, this created several problems in the long run.

Doesn't he favour dark brown to black colours?

Such audacity is perfectly in character for Ciaran though: Steal the chosen one and then don't even bother to disguise him.

Nah, Ciaran knows that the best disguise is the one where you don't know that there is a disguise. Previous examples include:

Jedi Knight Ciaran: remove visor, add hair die, coloured contacts and a Jedi robe.
Sith Exile Ventress: grow out hair, add facial makeup and go on a Sith Pilgrimage for spiritual and personal enlightenment.

They work because people don't see a mask and thus assume there is nothing to hide.

The problem is that Anakin is a very public figure. Generals are well known and a skilled Jedi even more so. Someone will notice him without a proper disguise.

We can give him a mask and make up some sob story about it being part of a medical system to sustain his life from a horrific series of injuries that scar his body. No one would want to know what is under that mask afterword.

Really, she just has to remove the Visor. So far as anyone outside of the Watchers know she's a pure-blood Miraluka. Who don't have any eyes.

So obviously that dashing rouge, who admittedly does bear a striking resemblance to me, can't possibly be me because she has eyes.

We know the Jedi have the access to advanced surgical technology thanks to Obi-Wan's undercover mission, which required him to fake his assassination with the help of a bounty hunter and then impersonate him (speaking of which whatever happened to Hardeen?)

Could easily see Anakin the Abyss Walker as fulfilling the prophecy from the right interpretation. Assuming that the prophecy isn't just his fuck up at Mortis.
