I'd like to point out that you people could be having far more constructive conversations than shipping wars. Let's not cause a flame war of some variety, okay?

The reason I haven't said anything or done anything serious in that regard is because I know that keeping my dumb mouth shut on the matter is far better than needlessly antagonizing people. I've seen how nasty shipping wars can get in other threads and I really really don't want to exacerbate that.

In the first thread, @Teron headed the shipping wars off at the pass and called a vote. The result was, "no ship for Ciaran, but lots of teasing flirting." Issue resolved.

...but it occurs that we have a shiny new thread, here...and I don't believe @Dr. Snark has weighed in on the issue.
I don't see why a new vote is needed. If Ciaran were suddenly to be interested in getting a lover, it would be completely OOC at this point.

And honestly? I don't want this quest to devolve into a shipping war, that kind of thing tends to be a huge turnoff.

what was the quest in question?

There is no GATE; we did not fight there. (CK2/GATE)

It's very good, but the poll still at the top is largely the reason i dropped it. QM introduced the candidates early and added options to get to know them. The mods had to shut down the arguments twice before the poll went up. The poll itself came several turns earlier than the QM said the vote was going to be and stayed open for 7 days. The thread gained 70+ pages during that "debate", which had fear mongering, promises of a harem if a certain option was picked (not from the QM, they only stated it was "possible with x and x, but unlikely and doesn't come with many benefits while being lots of extra work"), inaccurate information flying about, and lots of salt due to the timing.

Honestly, who is able to keep up with Ciaran? Until she finds someone she deeply respects, who can match her level of smug, and troll on her level as well, I'm pretty sure Ciaran will be a tragically lonely figure.

The shipping wars got shut down hard after that fuck up. QM regrets how he did it, even the questers have PTSD flashbacks to it. We did end up with a plan that most people can agree with though, and will at least be fun to read.

Great quest though. The avalanche of crits that sometimes pop up are crazier than a Sage quest.

Let's stop talking about it and focus on taking over the galaxy via means of underhanded trickery, money and the gathering of lost Force lore.

You know, the fun stuff.

What do people think is going to be the stuff that hits the fan this coming turn?

Well before that we have to deal with Albert Wesker. From what I've heard of this is perhaps one of the few times we get to take the gloves off.
