I think you might be overestimating what our current Lore score represents. We have just reach the point where we compare with...most Jedi. Not Yoda, not even a Jedi Master, just most Jedi Knights the average denizen of the galaxy would meet. We need a *lot* more training and growth before we can match the guy who has, say, been doing this for nearly a thousand years. Or the guy who is pulling on so much dark energy he can shoot it out his fingertips and roast people to death.

I wasn't saying we were actually there, but rather that we were approaching it. Also, as far as I can tell the Lore is strictly knowledge. Not Force-techniques or power which is what the Palpatine example referred too. I would disagree that we're only about the knowledge level of the average Jedi though. We don't know as much about the Jedi Order's history and philosophy, but we sure know about a whole bunch of others and have been actively consulting ancient Force Phantoms. I'd say at least a non-history focused Master.

(Looking at our Intrigue of 32 which puts us as 'one of the best in the galaxy', correlates rather nicely with our other agents who have ~32 Martial and are 'some of the best in the galaxy'. With that kind of reference point and a Lore of 33...yeah, I think we're that good. Yoda I expect is at least a 40, maybe even low 50's as an outlier. Palpatine is also higher, but I think he'd actually be lower than Yoda. Plagieus was the one who went into grand experimentation and research of the Force, Palpy was just more of a plotter.)

However, it is exactly because we are so much weaker than the other 'faction leaders' that I want to increase our Force ability...which seems to be most closely related to Martial.

Edit: Never mind, apparently Lore is directly connected to ability to use the Force...which doesn't really fit the term 'Lore' in my opinion but it is what it is. I do still think the Stat value is incongruous though. So far ~15 is fairly capable, ~20 is your common genius, and 30+ is among the best in the galaxy, so why the hell is 33 Lore "on par with many Jedi." unless we're talking powerful Knights and average Masters?

And how does this play in to our Martial? I know Assaj still kicks our ass because she has better Force control, but I know that we know more 'things' about the Force than she does. Clearly there is a separation there somewhere.

kinda agree on the force score there, but a change
15 is a padawan 20 is a well trained padawan (ahsoka) 25 is a jedi knight 30 is a knight that is soon to become a master 35 is master 40+ is the elite like anakin and obi-wan(he fucked anakin up) 50+ is yoda, revan, palpatine and darth traya

Yeah, but then its out of line with the scores for the other stats. Plus there's how a lot of our bonuses are literally lore, just how much we know about the Force, not how well we can use it as you suggest.

Pretty much this though that's not an absolute scale in the slightest; also take into account that I also have to balance out the numbers for gameplay purposes (we can't really have Thrawn have like 40-something Martial right off the bat for instance.)

In general (and I say this with the full knowledge that I will probably contradict this at some point) the scales for stats work like this:

0-10 Range: Weak (Non Force-users)/Helpless (Force-users)
10-20 Range: Normal (Non-Force-users)/Weak (Force-users)
20-30 Range: Skilled (Non-Force-users)/Normal (Force-users)
30-40 Range: Extremely Skilled (Non-Force-users)/Skilled (Force-users)
40-50 Range: Impossibly Skilled (Non-Force-users)/Extremely Skilled (Force-users)
50+ Range: Inhuman (Non-Force-users)/Impossibly Skilled (Force-users)

As you might expect, Jedi/Sith are just flat-out better at things than normal people since they have the Force to empower their abilities.

Yeah, but then its out of line with the scores for the other stats. Plus there's how a lot of our bonuses are literally lore, just how much we know about the Force, not how well we can use it as you suggest.

The reason for that is because Lore is the stand-in for Piety in this quest since understanding the Force and becoming stronger in it tend to go hand in hand.

We may have inherited Kreia's title and legacy, but we're not aiming to kill the Force.

As late-game as we are? I think you heard someone say "go eat The Valley of the Jedi." That might give use enough of an edge.
How many omakes of Tyro Torwin kicking all kinds of ass with Blazing Chains do I need to write? The one where Blazing Chains lets an old man with two blaster pistols stalemate Asajj Ventress is canon. I don't think I can go much higher than that and retain plausibility.

Have him do an infiltration and retrieval mission with Silas Cata which would look like something out of Mission Impossible? The person to be retrieved would be yet another of Silas's descendants who can be of big help to Ciaran.

Blazing Chains is Awesome and I'll Make You All Realize That Even if it Kills Me

"You may fire when ready." said Grand Moff Tarkin as he callously turned away from Princess Leia Organa.

"What?!" shouted Leia, panicked and betrayed as her sacrifice was made meaningless.

Tarkin turned back to her, a smug look of victory on his face. "You're far too trusting. Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration, but don't worry. We will deal with your rebel friends soon enough."

"No…" protested the Princess of Alderaan weakly, stepping forward only to be pulled back by Darth Vader.

"Commence primary ignition." announced a voice over the loudspeakers. As far removed as they were, the group on the bridge waited in relative silence as the final steps were undertaken elsewhere on the massive battle station. Tarkin and Leia watched in anticipation and horror respectively as the green lasers converged, combined, and hurtled towards the peaceful, unsuspecting planet of Alderaan.

And missed.

"What happened?" demanded Tarkin, shouting into the communications that linked him to the engineers.

"We don't know sir." reported the engineer. "Everything worked perfectly, but the shot moved around Alderaan. I can't explain it sir. According to the instruments, we usually don't have test fires that good."

"Well fire again, and make certain you don't miss this time or I'll have the lot of you court marshalled!" shouted Tarkin, cutting off the communications before the engineer could even respond. History repeated itself as the Death Star charged its destructive beam weapon, amplified by enough kyber crystals to fuel every lightsaber ever made, and fired it towards the planet of Alderaan, ensuring its destruction.

Except it missed. Again.

Princess Leia was beginning to grow amused at the growing frustrations of Grand Moff Tarkin. His face red with rage, Tarkin ordered a security team to drag the engineers out of the firing control room and into the brig, calling up the secondary engineering team to take their place. Calming himself somewhat, Tarkin managed to spit out the order to fire again, or else, through clenched teeth.

Listening carefully, Leia could have sworn she heard Vader whisper something that sounded like, "I told them so."

"My, they certainly are persistent." said Ciaran, looking up at the artificial moon that hung in Alderaan's sky. "Tyro, if you would?"

"Of course, Lady Ciaran." said Tyro, turning to watch the battle station. It fired a third time, and Tyro raised his hands, reaching out with the Force. He wasn't strong enough to influence its direction as drastically as he could blaster bolts, but bending a blaster bolt around a target was the most basic lesson a Blazing Chains practitioner could learn, and for a master of the style like Tyro Torwin, scaling the technique up to such gargantuan sizes was an easy task.

Once more, the sky turned green as the powerful weapon curved around the planet of Alderaan and soared off into space. Ciaran took a sip of her tea before continuing her conversation. "Now, where were we Bail? Your kidnapped daughter?"

"Um, yes." Said Bail Organa, looking uneasily at the Death Star floating above his homeworld. "She uh, took part in a raid to secure the plans for the Death Star, but went missing before she could deliver the plans. I was hoping you might be able to track Leia down."

"It wouldn't be the first time I've rescued the child of an ally. If it goes half as well as last time, I might even bring the entire Empire crashing down in the process." laughed Ciaran as the Empire's crowning achievement futilely took another shot at the planet.

Tyro swept his hand to the side, and the beam in the sky followed suit. "I think I'm getting the hang of this. Not to hard once you get some practice actually."

AN: We could have had this awesome intro for the Intrigue cousin I had planned out, but someone had to go and shit talk the Force sect that gives us telepathic guns. So you get this. I hope you're happy. Also, it's occurred to me I'm going to need to think of some more chain/link phrases if I want to write more about Tyro.
