What sort of tone should I shoot for with this Quest?

I don't think we should vote for Bruce Wayne. His persona is that of a playboy, so even if he would want to cooperate with us, the mask of Bruce Wayne is such that the cooperation will be limited. Meanwhile, he would use his access to LexCorp information for his own ends. Instead, perhaps we should go with Vicki Vale and, perhaps, eventually get a good Press Person.

Ok, I have a proposal to what we can do as our longer term plan for Lex Luthor.

What if, we became good enough an organizer/funder to join the Justice League. We'd be the face of the Justice League while seeking profts jn the side. And if Batman ever pushes us far enough (have to make sure they dont have a way to legally or publically damage us) to curtail our operations, then we can also be the first to just up and leave the League.

Then afterwards, if we want, we can either question where any and all expenses they take come from. Maybe with an allusion or two of taking advantage of LexCorp's past membership.

I don't think they'll accept. Especially since we'll have Superman himself as our nemesis. A better option would be having us on more neutral terms with them. We don't do anything too evil and they don't stir up a fuss over us, especially since by that point we will have become a vital part of the economy, a major supporter of law and order within many parts of the United States, and a highly powerful individual in our own right. I'm pretty sure Batman in some cases has allowed Penguin to maintain his operations because he provides valuable information on the Gotham underworld so it's not like this is impossible. Besides, we would share a lot of the same enemies. Joker, for example, would be in the electric chair faster than you can say "clown" once Lex learns of him and... encourages the Jury and Judge to have him found guilty, in spite of his insanity.

Meh. We can (initially) try to beat Superman in heroing, or some other convoluted reason. I just want to float the possibility of us joining the League, since I dont think I have ever seen Lex Luthor joining before.

I believe Lex joined the league (along with Captain cold) in the new 52 following the forever evil event if you are interested in seeing Lex in the Justice league

Huh. Seems it happened a few times actually. Even when joining he still does it in as dickish way possible.

So yeah. Now that I have a bit of an idea to how it could work, I think I can still spin reasonings for Lex to be a founding nenber of the Justice League.
 
Well, there is at least one multiverse where Luthor is a legit good guy (Injustice: Gods Among Us game and corresponding comics) but unlike a large part of the playerbase, I want to play an actual villain.

Again, aside from a hardon for Superman, what would the reasoning be?

Because right now, the only two reasonings for Luthor (aside from just because) to be a villain is for rutheless capitalism, or fighting against the League of Shadows outside the bounds of the law.

If you could give some motivations for why turning into a villain is a good idea, then please tell me. Because at this point, risking going against the law (ineffectual as the law may be at this time) is just inefficient with no worthwhile benefits I can see in the medium to long term.

I don't want to, and I don't think Ranger wants to either. I think he meant that he wanted to play that in Injustice specifically, not in this quest, necessarily. Personally I would like to avoid too much illegal or otherwise evil activity since being "good" has way more opportunities and benefits in my opinion

Also, he super offended Pamela, so getting close to him would alienate her. Plus, I don't want to make it easier for Batman to investigate us.

I never even heard of Carstairs before this story so good job at introducing me to an interesting new character. In any event here's my vote:

Reasoning: Kane might be insulted if we force her to learn under someone else. Talia said she'd help us so let's see if she's willing plus interrogating the assassin with our usual methods is the only way we'll get any info and it will tarnish our new reputation. As for looking into bats...you look into the bat and he's guaranteed to start looking into you so lets avoid that.

Now as for allies: Harvey Dent is eventually going to become two face (never fails) so I don't see the reason in allying with him. The mayor is a corrupt idiot in canon who is in the pocket of Rupert Thorne. Loeb is corrupt and allying with Gordon will just piss him off so let's avoid that minefield. Vale on the other hand is relatively clean (unless we count the version from the Tell Tale universe but that's only one version out of many that are legit) and she could serve as a good counter to Lois Lane. Carstairs gives us an in to the supernatural side of the world, she help save our life so it's only natural for us to approach her, plus she is kind of mistrusted by the populace and thus might be more receptive to having an ally. As for Roxy she is a skilled pilot which is a good thing to have given our aerospace acquisitions, she has already shown a willingness to help us against the league plus...I always liked her character in her appearances in the DC animated shows.

I've been convinced by others that Vicki is the way to go.

Batman as an ally is useful. We just need it so that he doesn't feel the need to investigate us to thoroughly which can be difficult to make happen.
