[ ] [Cass] Reveal stolen four armed monkey to Father
Roll 10

Cassandra ended up showing Father the four armed monkey she had stolen from the man with the glasses (that was the word for eye-windows right?) whose body spoke of wanting to cut things open. Father was a little disappointed that Cassandra hadn't bothered to tell him about this before but he wasn't angry. Cassandra's heart sank though. It would have been better if Father had been angry at her. Cassandra had not trusted Father even after everything he had done for her. And he was disappointed in her. Father had never been disappointed in her before. Cassandra hated that he was disappointed in her. Cassandra was going to be better. Father would never be disappointed in her again. Cassandra was a good girl.

[ ] [Cub] Threaten four armed monkey to show it who is alpha
Roll 8

Janus was unhappy. His packmate had recently introduced a four armed monkey into her den. Janus was not happy about this development at all. He refused to be replaced by another animal with extra parts. The monkey had natural advantages in that he looked more like a human than Janus did and thus could more effectively manipulate them to do his bidding. But Janus was clever and cunning and refused to have his packmate stolen by the mangy flea bag that had manipulated her natural tendency to give scritchs. Janus was going to have to show the monkey who the alpha was. So Janus roared at the monkey every time it got close to his packmate. The monkey merely started screeching and looking worried which made Janus' packmate pick it up and begin rubbing it to calm it down. Curses the monkey was smarter than Janus thought and was a crafty enemy indeed. Janus now needed a new plan. Janus pondered his next move when eventually it struck him. The monkey wasn't afraid of Janus or his mighty roar and would use those as opportunities to manipulate humans into turning against Janus. Janus instead had to find what did scare the monkey. Janus knew the monkey came from the loud buzzy humans den where he kept all the odd meat pieces. Janus went in to see what he could find in that den. Unfortunately the humans hadn't let him into the den. The monkey must have anticipated Janus' movements and countered them. As such Janus came up with a new plan. He stole a set of eye windows that were lying around and put them on Right Janus. By camouflaging himself as the loud buzzy human maybe he could scare the monkey and show it who was boss. The first part of the plan went off without a hitch. When the monkey saw Right Janus he was terrified as he rightfully should be for Janus was a mighty and majestic creature and the alpha of his territory. Unfortunately Janus didn't account for the monkey throwing a book at Janus in its terror. The book conked Right Janus in the head. This did cause the packmate to scold the monkey and fuss over Janus so it was a partial success but it also hurt. This battle had been a draw for Janus but he would defeat the monkey in the long run and prove he is superior.

What species of monkey is it?

Ok. Moon likes making booze. Lets cultivate the Gingo Fruits and let him make booze from it. While he's boozing he wont be scaring the shit out of the kids.

We make Carol vist the Shrink next turn?

Oh. Have Kathrene work with Carl to inprove Pamela's living space.

As a way to relax yourself a little bit you decided to publish a few of your findings on the properties of kryptonite, in particular an analysis of the various ways it reacts to energy exposure and its emission of radiation. You also briefly touched upon the comparison of Jadarite to Kryptonite and the different properties that material had. There is a good amount of speculation contained with in the article about the idea that there is likely some unseen element which contributes both to its anomalous mass and its properties with regards to energy. The article releases with little fanfare and is little more than a recap of what you already knew about Kryptonite and your own speculation into possible solutions. A few individuals crow over how brilliant it is but honestly you don't care. You have more important things to deal with. The article while relevant and informative was little more than a way for you to get your own thoughts in line. After all you have resources far greater than what the article suggested. In time you'll eventually crack the secret of Kryptonite.
Those sub-atomic scanners Ivo developed for the A.M.A.Z.O. project may help.

[ ] [Pam] Request that Lex prevent Dr. Moon from being able to enter her living quarters or lab
Roll 16

Pamela knew that Lex would understand her concerns. Dr. Moon was frankly a terrible excuse for a person and Pamela looked forward to the day when he pushed too far and was no longer useful and Lex would make him suffer for his transgressions. Lex had reassured her that she was right to be concerned and told her that the moment Dr. Moon crossed the lines he had set he was as good as dead. He then revoked Dr. Moon's access to her room and labs.
@King crimson

Why did he even HAVE access to Dr. Isley's private labs, let alone her living quarters? He doesn't hold a position in security that would justify him being able to violate other employees' privacy.

[ ] [Ivo] Hit an alarm
Roll 15

Ivo was dying there was no way around it. He couldn't cope with the failure. There had to be some way to buy some more time. Some way to make sure he could complete his project and survive. Ivo would have rushed around looking for something to delay but the agony that wracked his body had only grown worse with time. There was an alarm in his laboratory. Ivo went to push it. Luthor had compatible donors for Ivo and Ivo had proven himself useful to Luthor. Luthor wouldn't let him die right? Ivo refused to die! A sharp sting of pain lanced out through Ivo's abdomen. That was fine. Ivo had lived with unspeakable, ineffable pain for years on end now. Pain was just proof that he was still alive. He trudged towards the wall where the alarm was located. The pain amplified and multiplied, every nerve felt like it was dipped in acid and then set on fire repeatedly. He made his way over to the alarm. Ivo was dying but he still had more time. This was not the end for him, Ivo would survive, no Ivo would thrive! Ivo hit the alarm and for a moment he felt no more pain. He slowly realized that he had collapsed and hit the floor. Someone was probably coming to pick him up to save his life now. Ivo had done what he needed to do to survive. Now he could just enjoy his first moments in a decade without constant lacerating pain as the world slowly faded to black.

OK note to self, fit Ivo with a medalert bracelet or something.

[ ] [Kane] Attempt to move in with Pamela
Roll 2

Katherine wanted to try and be confident about her relationship with Pamela. They had been dating for over half a year now and Katherine wanted to try and move her relationship to the next level. Living together would decide if they were able to really get this relationship to work. It was a big deal though. Still Katherine worried and fretted. What if things went wrong or it poisoned there relationship? Katherine had never been in another serious relationship with someone else she didn't know what she was supposed to say when she wanted to start living together with someone else. In the end she lost her nerve. What she had with Pamela now was great and she could always muster up the courage to ask later.
Awwh. :(

Well, no harm done I guess?

[ ] [Roxy] Go drinking with the new hires
Roll 17

Roxy was in a good mood. The new hires were all good people and best of all they were people who would go drinking with her. Sure Ozzy would occasionally go with her but he was always busy now. Rebecca was great but she was a wine and champagne person and that was fancy gala stuff not the type of thing you can trawl into a bar and get wasted on. She probably shouldn't give Marie alcohol cause she had a kids liver and Carol lived in Coast City which meant Roxy would have to fly to visit her. Luckily enough the three new hires were down to go with her. Lenny was dry and sarcastic and a grump but he still showed up and participated. Sam was a complete lightweight which was hilarious and Lisa while a bit nasty personality-wise was happy to be able to party for a bit. All in all it was a good evening and she had found new drinking buddies.
:D

Yay.

[ ] [Rebecca] Test to see how fast Hellblazer can go
Roll 12

So now that Rebecca had her new car, courtesy of Lex she decided to go and see how fast it could drive. After all the car was something she had built and she didn't know quite how fast it could go. So she took the car down to an empty testing sight where she could drive really fast one way and then the other. She went and hit the gas to see how fast the car could go. The car went fast. For all of her desire to test the car's speed, once Hellblazer hit over 350 mph and showed no signs of slowing down she gave up and eased off the throttle. Rebecca spent the next hour and a half putting out the hellfire the car had left in its wake. Rebecca silently vowed in her head to never let Roxy figure out how fast the car could go.
Hm. One of these days we should take the car out to a salt flat somewhere out West and really try that.

Of course, the danger is that the magic-enhanced engine will go so fast that it'll overheat (unlikely if the internals can withstand hellfire), or that the aerodynamic drag force of more-than-hurricane-force winds on the exterior will physically rip the car apart at high speed, which would not be survivable.

If only we had a test pilot we didn't mind killing... speaking of which...

:p

[ ] [Carol] Refuse to meet with Hal Jordan again
Roll 1

Carol hated Hal sometimes, really she did. But just as often she hated herself for being unable to stay mad at the jerk. He had vanished on her for months when she needed him most and she was still furious about that but for some reason he managed to keep worming his way back into her heart. Carol didn't know but she didn't want to see him anymore. Alright, yes fine she did like taking to him occasionally when she forgot about how he stabbed her in the back but still. Carol steeled herself. She had agreed to meet Hal for coffee one last time and then it was the end. They were over, finished, kaput. At least she thought so. Maybe if Hal cleaned up his act a bit... No! Carol was going to stay firm on this despite her heart screaming a million different things at her all at once.
Poor Carol. :(

[ ] [Karl] Rant to Jarrett Parker
Roll 17

Karl felt much better after his therapy session. Granted it was nothing that the psychologist had to do with it. Rather it was the fact that he could scream and rant and yell and the psychologist had to sit there and take it. Karl felt much better after the fact. The completion of the bone growth formula had only heightened his euphoria. Yes Karl was going to grow beyond his mistakes and become better than what he once was. The fact that the psychologist just looked on in horror when Karl described how he attempted to dispose of the specimens and how that made him feel only completed that feeling of giddiness. He didn't expect the psychologist to understand. He was just there to be vented at because if the psychologist let his secrets slip into the public's view then Lex would make sure that he met an unfortunate end. After all Karl has done his job.
The animals?

HmmmMM. We have... a... problem here. And we picked a psychiatrist I... hope... will remain discreet... what do we do about this.

[ ] [Mari] Talk with Daphne Dean about future plans
Roll 18

Mari got along excellently with Daphne and decided to take some time out of her busy schedule to talk to Daphne. Daphne was enjoying some success with her movie but wanted to experiment a bit more and Lightyear Entertainment didn't have the budget to make truly impressive movies. She and Mari chatted about fashion for a bit and Mari felt a little guilty for not delivering on her end of the deal made with Daphne. Still she was going to be able to work on it soon. Mari informed Daphne of the development as well as the release of the new Lex-Phone. Daphne stated that she was surprised Luthor was as hands off as he was and expressed interest in working with him more closely. All in all it was time well spent catching up with a friend
OK, well, one step closer to recruiting a very gifted Stewardship/Diplomacy heroine then!

Unfortunately Jinx made a minor miscalculation. She had forgotten to tell Cassandra not to let the adults know that Jinx had taught her how to swear. So when an adult had asked Cassandra where she had learned that word the girl immediately ratted Jinx out. So yeah, Jinx got in trouble but it was still worthwhile to see the looks on the adults faces. And next time she could tell Cassandra not to let adults know what Jinx was doing so no one would get in trouble.
That may cross swords with her own resolution not to disappoint Lex by keeping secrets from her.

Poor Cassandra. :(

[ ] [Rose] Spar with Cassandra
Roll 19

The bosses kid was tough. Really tough. So after asking permission from her direct superior, Mercy, Rose prepared to face off against the kid. Rose probably should have been tipped off by Mercy's comment not to complain when Cassandra beat her face in that this fight would be tough but Rose never was looking for something easy. Rose fell into a ready stance while Cassandra just stood and stared at her. Then in an instant the girl had rushed her. Rose had never been completely dismantled in a fight before, usually she was on the dominating end of a one sided fight but Cassandra utterly and completely overwhelmed her and knocked her to the floor every time she tried something. In the end Rose gained a little more respect for the kid. Despite being shy she could fight like hell. Rose was fine with someone like that being her future boss.

Results: Rose-Cassandra coop score + 0.05
:p :D

[ ] [Dr. Moon] Begin brewing sake in a LexCorp lab
Roll 10

Dr. Moon liked sake. He'd admit that much to anyone. As a boy he had learned how to brew it himself so that he would always be capable of making some himself. Years of hiding from the authorities had given Dr. Moon a taste for the sake he made himself to his exact specifications. The stuff bought from stores in America was nothing more than swill. So Dr. Moon quietly commandeered and unused LexCorp lab and began brewing some for himself. No one had to know about his little side project and with all of his more interesting work he doubted anyone would care too much about him illegally brewing his own alcoholic beverage on company property
You know what, I can work with that. I don't actually mind him running a still. The only problem is, if he decides he can get away with running a still, he may decide he can get away with something else.

@King crimson

Does Mercy or Lex know Moon is running a still? Building security's supposed to be pretty tight around here.

[ ] [Lisa] Buy jewlery
Roll 14

Lisa knew that the LexCorp salary was going to pay well but she didn't realize just how well. So when she got her checks she was quite happy. Lisa decided to treat herself and splurge a little by buying expensive jewlery. Lisa always had liked the shiny things in life and the ability to buy an actual gold necklace rather than steal it or con it was a new and exciting experience. Things were looking up for Lisa
OK that is good. I want her to get used to the idea that she will become massively rich by working FOR us, not by stabbing us in the back or screwing us over.

[ ] [Cub] Threaten four armed monkey to show it who is alpha
Roll 8

Janus was unhappy. His packmate had recently introduced a four armed monkey into her den. Janus was not happy about this development at all. He refused to be replaced by another animal with extra parts. Oooh. Now I understand why Janus is insecure about the poor monkey.

Also a normal lion would probably not be capable of all this thinking; I can only assume two heads are better than one.

we need people to automate actions for us, like that PI investigator, the head of future construction, etc.
@King crimson is pretty resistant to the idea of letting us automate things and generally views it as a high power creep risk.

Ok. Moon likes making booze. Lets cultivate the Gingo Fruits and let him make booze from it. While he's boozing he wont be scaring the shit out of the kids.
I dunno. Drunk!Moon might be MORE likely to do something insane like kidnap someone and start replacing their blood with gasoline to see what will happen. Remember that he's got strong sadistic impulses that he keeps in check out of a desire to not be annihilated by the wrath of his employer. And overindulging in alcohol lowers inhibitions.

I would think Moon knows how to keep his drinking under control, but if not we may need to see him as a liability.

We make Carol vist the Shrink next turn?
Or fly Dr. Parker out to her. She's running a sizeable corporation; he's not. Her time is more valuable.

EDIT:

I will also note that I'm more than a bit worried about Dr. Parker's willingness to keep nasty secrets. Psychopathology is an unfortunately common problem for us, and if Karl gets off-balance and reveals, say, testing on human beings... well. Um. That could be a problem.

Why did he even HAVE access to Dr. Isley's private labs, let alone her living quarters? He doesn't hold a position in security that would justify him being able to violate other employees' privacy.
He only had access if someone was undergoing a medical emergency (Pamela's biology is secret and Moon wouldn't blab about it) so he was given access under a specific set of circumstances. Lex just revoked that.
@King crimson

Does Mercy or Lex know Moon is running a still? Building security's supposed to be pretty tight around here.
They do I just couldn't think of a good way to write from Moon's perspective "there were hidden cameras in the room but Moon didn't notice them" so I didn't include it.

So guys how about we campaign to get Ivy and Karl awarded with a nobel prize to increase their coop scores and increase the prestige of lex corp by having three prize winning scientists on it's pay roll.

Karl and Pamela don't have the same kind of staggering achievements on record; it'd be more difficult. Also, a lot of their best work is something we're having to keep secret (the plant integration formula is still largely a secret, and the bone growth formula is something we're going to have to keep fairly hush-hush).

Basically, Learning 30 means you are a shoo-in for a Nobel Prize if you've been seriously trying. Learning 20 means that if you earn a Nobel, it's going to be the hallmark of a career, and an achievement that people have had a long time to think over.

Fair enough although we haven't had pamela do research in a while I'm sure we if we made her research something plant related she would eventually find something Nobel worthy or how about we include her in a study magic action after all the green is related to magic so she could learn a lot about it. How about next turn we make pamela and all the magic heroes help lex in learning magic.

Nah. The: Develop Rations with quickgrowth formula action.

We do disaster relief actions and campaign for a Peace Prize.

Ok, so now I have to wonder what would have happened if the Hellblazer hit 666 mph.

If Dr Moon is Korean, its soju and not sake.

If we are going for the rations like i suggested i figure we can get Nobel since it wont just get used in Santa prisca, If we put Karl and Ivy on DC7 project i figure we can not only create mass productible rations on assembly process but make them equivalentish to normal food and Ecological as well.

I mean I'm comfortable throwing in an option to take the counteragent and combine it with the bone growth formula but I can say it will effectively be useless as the situation in which it would be useful on earth is absurdly specific (be trapped in a zero gravity environment for months on end) and the fact that nothing stops you from simply taking the counteragent if the need applies (no need to integrate it into the initial dosage if you can just do it later).

The regenerative factors of the bone growth already are superior to anything the counteragent does outside of a zero gravity environment (which is essentially prevent the bones from decaying due to the bizarre environment).

Electroctuion was still possible although at higher voltages then what would normally be needed. It's still a suboptimal way to kill something with the formula.

The armor you have is a more durable material technically as it can stop bullets without breaking. The first few layers of the bone exoskeleton due break when shot with a decently powerful gun. The main strength of the bone formula is its regenerative capabilities (the outer layers break and then swiftly reform) which cannot be replicated when the tissue is not alive. As such it's not a particularly viable material to sell since its best qualities do not work when not attached to a living organism.

Lois Lane's high blackmail DC is a combination of a few things. She doesn't particularly trust you so its harder to find stuff on her, she is very clean and lacks a clear scandal in her background and most of the failures you could find on her she wouldn't care about.

General Eiling's DC is so low because he trusts you specifically and doesn't bother to hide things from you. Like just from the Project Atom data you have physical evidence that he is conducting human experimentation. The fact that is low is abnormal and is because Eiling has set himself up in such a way that you could easily blackmail him if you chose to do so.

On the other hand the DC of finding out Eiling's secrets is much higher for Lois as he has actively taken steps to hide this information from her and prevent her from finding stuff out as he doesn't trust or like her.

Once you have compiled the file you can then choose to leak it or use it yourself. The option already exists it's just contingent on you having something to leak in the first place.

Through a party allows you to send invites out to many units and make connections less related to LexCorp. Think of it like the Wayne Party only you get to send out the invites to as many people as you want and establish the rules of the party.

The best option for collecting specifically Stewardship hero units under your control would be the action that got you Felicity and Carl as that is tailored to doing such things. If you want me to say which example is best from the party options you listed then the "Throw a Party" option is best even if it tends to give alliances more than actual hero units under your control.

Im really against going for Blackmail on Eiliang, we know how being paranoid fucked up over with Ra and being too controlling lead to situation with Whale, Honestly i figure that our relationship with General is good enought that if we tell him he is doing something exceedingly stupid he will listen.

Oh. Sorry. I meant have Dr Moon make Gingold. Not just drink on the job.
Maybe.

I'm worried about what Moon will do if and when he's bored, but I haven't figured out the best solution there. I'm hoping that we can get him a secret lab well away from most of our other employees and from the prying eyes of law enforcement.

Fair enough although we haven't had pamela do research in a while I'm sure we if we made her research something plant related she would eventually find something Nobel worthy or how about we include her in a study magic action after all the green is related to magic so she could learn a lot about it. Hmmmm.

I'm hoping to have Lex just do normal "I run a major corporation" things for a few turns- like, think about it in character, why would he desperately want personal magic and not just have magicians on payroll? It seems fairly logical why he'd want that after Superman reveals himself- it's just one more way for him to prove that the power of his intellect makes him greater than Superman's physical brawn. But before? I don't know...

Also, actions like the 'personality cult' option or having Lex take point on a project like 'become Facebook' may pay off hugely.

If we are going for the rations like i suggested i figure we can get Nobel since it wont just get used in Santa prisca, If we put Karl and Ivy on DC7 project i figure we can not only create mass productible rations on assembly process but make them equivalentish to normal food and Ecological as well.
Might be a Nobel Peace Prize there, actually. But yeah, I'm not against it, it's just... a long term thing. I suggested it for Ivo because I thought it would increase his co-op score and make him understand that we appreciate him, and also because I figured it wouldn't take much work to make it happen given that Ivo's actually done some really revolutionary things just in the past few years working for us. He's a complete ass, but he's indisputably qualified.

Dr. Isley's basically a very gifted postdoc and Dr. Helfern's an obscure guy who's been obsessed with this one weird formula. Not the same territory.

Im really against going for Blackmail on Eiliang, we know how being paranoid fucked up over with Ra and being too controlling lead to situation with Whale, Honestly i figure that our relationship with General is good enought that if we tell him he is doing something exceedingly stupid he will listen.
I quite agree, on the whole- I see no reason we should need a way to wreck Eiling.

Yeah. Eiling's and our political & strategic interests align, no need for blackmail. Speaking of which, do we add his (Captain Atom's) daughter to Ozzy's show?

Actually, doesnt he have great relationship with Ozzy ? why not have Eiling there as guest star ? i figure wed have to handle it properly, but if its episode about Soldiers or Patriotism he just might go for it.

@King crimson

Is this acceptable write in ?
[X] Have Eiling on Ozy show for episode about either Patriotism or Soldiers.

It is not due to the simple reason that I already had plans for the option. Up until this point Eiling has been too busy trying to get his projects to work to advance his career to take the time to appear on television.

Now that he has had his big break though Eiling is an option you can get as a guest star even if he still is immensely expensive due to how busy he is.

So Eiling will be available to potentially guest star but the write in is not accepted because it's equivalent to an option I had already planned for.

this is disadvantage with Planning type of GM :D.

Hope Simon doesnt burn himself out because he is our only steady source of income.
