A lot has changed since the new "metahuman craze" has started
Minor nitpick but this segment is formatted incorrectly in it's current state (the second has is unnecessary). You also may want to drop the word new from it (cause it implies that there have been multiple metahuman crazes when there was really only one even if it is only truly coming to light now).

It doesn't ruin the omake by any means but it is something you may want to correct.
who might as well have been the closest thing Ukraine had to a superhero as far as he was concerned
I'd ask that you cut out the word superhero from this bit. Again it doesn't ruin anything but I have been conspicuously avoiding the use of the word superhero in this timeline (I'm waiting until after Superman shows up for the phrase to be coined in universe).

You can replace it with guardian or champion if you want to be vague of if you want an example you could compare him to the JSA or Red Shadows ("Who might have been the closest thing Ukraine had to the old Red Shadow operatives as far as he was concerned")

I'm going to canonize it regardless even though I would prefer if you made some of the recommended edits. This omake had a lot of character in it and I enjoyed reading it even if I did have to deliberate on its canonicity for a bit (And it came down on the side of being viable since it added to what I have been observing occurring in the background rolls even if it didn't directly conflate with it one to one). Congrats you've earned 500 exp.

[ ] Speak with Lucas Fox
DC 28 Speaking with the boy whose college degree you've agreed to fund should be an easy matter. The boy ultimately convinced Lucius to take your deal despite both of their distrust of your sudden generosity. With enough time you could slowly turn him to your side and maybe use him as a hook to get Lucius to jump ships and work at LexCorp

His DC droped. Time to sweep him up.
I would rather we don't the guy has a good enough moral compass that if he finds out about lexcorps shadier dealings he would blab to his father which would also mean batman would know, not only that but we have edward nygma on our payroll and batman is currently looking for him even if he is distracted at the moment.

We definitely need to get Bone Growth dealt with for Karl's sake, and even despite it not being "flashy" or having potential for radical change it is still a good "Boring but Practical" resource. Plant Metas aren't common and require a lot of training, whereas Bone Powers are immediate big boosts to our fighters.

Besides that, we also need to do Improve L-Phones because we've been putting that off for nearly a year at least despite A) having promised that as a big deal and B) being Lexcorp's big breakthrough.

We should probably scoop up Lucy Lane, who has been an option very early on and getting her on our side would be good.

So just throwing out these for consideration:

[ ] Meet with Count Vertigo
DC 10 Count Vertigo, known more colloquially as Werner Vertigo, a major noble from a minor country. You met the man in Markovia and he both demonstrated powers and a willingness to work with you. While you doubt you could truly bring the man into the fold you can certainly make use of an alliance with him. Considering that the man is now the regent of his country he could be quite useful indeed
-how funny would it be if his niece grew up around Jinx and Cassandra, he might need stronger guards, we can use a king in our debt.

[ ] Build a Sewer System
DC 15 The construction of sewers is a rather thankless task but it would provide numerous benefits for you. Not only would it generate more income for future construction but it would most certainly give you a lot of of the books places for you to hide things and store materials
-being able to move around the city unseen could be useful if we have the only real knowledge on how we design the sewers

[ ] Build a space building
DC 18 You can construct a building solely dedicated to ensuring Ferris Aerospace, and by extension LexCorp, conquers the stars before anyone else. This building would be used to test rockets, simulate missions and develop the necessary materials for space exploration.
-before the Justice League can make their Watchtower down the line

[ ] Restore damaged environments
DC 20 With your rapid plant growth formula you can restore forests and jungles that were damaged by human hands. Not only will this earn you good will but Pamela will appreciate you doing your best to help save the environment from the excesses of humanity.
-get some pr, and less people worrying about military operations destroying the environment with heavy artillery/aerial bombardment

[ ] Learn about possession
DC 22 Using Rebecca's knowledge of exorcism you can reverse engineer how to possess other beings. This skill could prove immensely useful if used well. LexCorp could always benefit from being able to literally do a hostile takeover.
-see through the eyes of spies and infiltrators, maybe we can hear their thoughts and see what they are doing and why, or even sense betrayal from someone, depending on what we learn about possession...

[ ] Plug the leaks
DC 42 You have discovered that many workers in your company are too loose-lipped about the details of what LexCorp gets up to and a few even outright give journalists any information they are looking for. Ensuring that your employees know to keep LexCorp's secrets and plugging the leaks will make sure that this never develops into a problem.
-because this has burned us already

[ ] Investigate the unknown individual
DC 43 The unknown individual who tapped into your line made a mistake. They left themselves open to being spied on in turn and you know where they are hiding. Figuring out what to make of them will allow you to proceed optimally going forward
-because this can burn us soon depending on what they hear/compile

Any thoughts about these options?

This one I agree. Pamela + Mari because they have high co-op and to compensate for Pamela's low stewardship.

This may be a bit pointless, I prefer:-

[ ] Learn about Demonology
DC 50 (30 if Carstairs is assigned) Rebecca Carstairs has some knowledge on how to summon demons. You'd like to know a little bit more about the subject before dealing with them. Demons are notorious for harming those who summon them in some way and knowledge of something previously unknown to you can only help.

We get a pokedex for the famous demons and flunky classifications.

We need to place more research and development into computers and genetics. Computers because Kord Communications is eating us. Genetics because we may want to start researching human improvement.

Firstly, we want to use the current state of war and nascent cold war to improve and sell our exosuits.
[X] Begin development of combat exosuit
[X] Arm the US Government with your tech

We want to establish diplomatic relations to the new regent, and the importance of the Kryptonite Man just before the Superman emerges cannot be understated.
[X] Meet with Count Vertigo
[X] Attempt to recruit the Kryptonite Man

I feel like we never do anything nice to McCabe as of late.
[X] Expand McCabe Fashion

We already have one of the buildings finishing this turn. It's time to get rid of the untrustworthy employees and hire new ones.
[X] Expand LexCorp
[X] Plug the leaks
[X] Hire more workers

That would be good new direction for the company.
[X] Offer LexCorp's services as an ISP

[X] Purchase real estate

Shadowy actions we wanted to take.
[X] Create a worldwide spy network
[X] Build a hidden operating room for Dr. Moon

Learning actions. We didn't improve phones for a long time, I'm interested what the cold technology has to offer, and Helfern is going crazy.
[X] Learn about cold
[X] Improve phones
[X] Improve bone growth formula

I want to use it. Preferably on Roxy.
[X] Have someone get cybernetic implants

We also want to finish off the Intergang.
[X] [Comp] Have your supercomputer begin searching for Bruno Manneheim's exact location

[ ] Train up the police
DC 10 While the police aren't directly working for you they still are under your control. Ensuring that they are all capable and competent will help improve how useful the police are to you.

We own them now, best to get them into shape to prepare for all those alien/robot/zombie/ninja invasions.

[ ] Crush all criminals
DC 21 Metropolis is your city and you refuse to let it be infested by rats. Purge the city of all crime and crack down on groups like Intergang. There is no room in your perfect world for parasites. With Tobias Whale reeling from Lady Vic's assassination attempt the underworld is in an unmatched state of chaos making now the perfect time to swoop in and wipe them off the map

Time to sweep the city clean.

[ ] Meet with Senator Creed Philips
DC 22 General Eiling has asked you to back this man. Speaking with him face to face should help you gain a better understanding of the man. After all if he is going to be using your money you want to make sure you are getting your money's worth.

Our political interests align and we did promise Eiling to back him, so its best if we see how much we can get.

[ ] Meet with Dinah Drake Lance in Star City
DC 12 As a part of the JSA Dinah drake can provide you with invaluable insight into superpowered individuals throughout history and clue you into the network as a whole. On top of that if there is a correlation between genetics and the development of meta-human powers then it might be worth speaking to her children and grandchildren as well.

I'm less interested in eugenics than Black Canary's martial arts proficiency and if she knows Bronze Tiger. I really hope to unlock him quickly.

[ ] Offer Lady Vic a loan
DC 8 You have a banking service and Lady Vic has numerous debt problems. You could offer to lend her money at a lower interest rate than what she currently owes the bank of england and have her end up owing you money instead. You can think of worse things than having a world class assassin in your debt
If she owes us money, we have her on call.

[ ] Learn about cold
DC 89 Cold is one half of what makes up thermodynamics. With the aid of Dr. Fries Wayne Enterprises has made some steps forward into this field. However you are sure you can overtake them swiftly and effectively.

This is what we hired Lenny for.

[ ] Learn about mirrors
DC ??? Normally you would dismiss mirrors as a dead end but considering the magical significance of reflections perhaps it is best to look into this and learn how mirrors function on a more metaphysical level.

I am tempted to throw Samuel + Rebecca + Circie + Circe + Jinx into this just to see what will happen.

[X] Train up LexCorp forces
this has been quite overdue

[X] Learn magic yourself
I kinda want to give lex a way to better protect himself

Hmmmm. Interesting recommendations:

MARTIAL

[ ] Crush all criminals (DC 21)
If we take this, we should make it a major focus of our Martial heroes.

[ ] Assist the US Government with the war effort in Santa Prisca (DC 20)
Keeping at this is an option. @King crimson , were we going to get a vote or event on any rewards we might reap from taking the action last turn?

[ ] Support rebels in Polkolistan (DC 15)
We might want this; it would put us in contact with 'General Zod' and we might learn more about exosuits.

[ ] Equip your forces with improved weapons (DC... 23 I think?)
We're kind of outgunned by Intergang and potential future threats.

[ ] Arm the US Government with your tech (DC 10)
So is the US military. They'd love to have our support. We don't want them to forget why they like us. ;)

[ ] Tighten security (DC 58)
Since we know leaks are an issue, this is worth trying.

DIPLOMACY

[ ] Meet with Senator Creed Philips (DC 22)
We might want to finally look into him?

[ ] Offer to consult with the US government (DC 28)
Will synergize with future weapons research.

[ ] Meet with Dinah Drake Lance in Star City (DC 12)
Well worth the idea.

[ ] Meet with Daphne Dean (DC 23)
Good stats. Might want to recruit her.

[ ] Meet with Amber Joyce (DC 44)
A psychic on payroll could be good too.

[ ] Meet with Randy Booth (DC 33)
I think it might be worth learning from these guys while we can find them.

[ ] Meet with Saied Kadesh (DC 14)
A VERY important clue into the whole 'shazam' thing.

[ ] Meet with Count Vertigo (DC 10)
Worth following up on, and easy to do.

[ ] Contact the unknown individual in Lascaux (DC ???)
Hmmm. I don't know. I want to investigate, not contact.

[ ] Establish friendly relationships with Biyalia (DC 12)
Well worth it, and remote enough we can get away with shit here

[ ] Sell close to home (DC 9)
@King crimson , I'm actually a bit unclear on how this differs from the "Arm the US government with your tech" Martial option.

[ ] Recruit Lucy Lane as a personal lawyer (DC 33)
Quite tempting.

[ ] Campaign to get the achievements of one of your workers recognized
A Nobel Prize for Ivo is about DC 25, and he's earned it. Maybe this is a way to show that while we find him insufferable, we respect his accomplishments.

STEWARDSHIP

[ ] Hire more workers (DC 12)
I think we really should take this, now that we know it's impacting some DCs.

[ ] Build a new LexCorp building (DC 20 to 25 if we pick the right building)
I think we should take this. The investment can take time to pay off, but it's worth it, and it gives us more assets out of Superman and Lois Lane's immediate reach.

[ ] Create an online storefront (DC 45)
We even LOOK kind of like Jeff Bezos. :p

[ ] Develop a ride sharing service (DC 24)
Also an option, especially if we want to promote kryptonite powered cars.

[ ] Purchase the Earthmover 1 drill (DC 23)
Might be a handy piece of tech?

[ ] Improve your dedicated lab space (DC 24)
Tempting.

[ ] Improve Isley's living quarters in LexCorp towers (DC 20)
Tempting.

[ ] Build dedicated living quarters for Jinx (DC 30)
IF we can spare a Stewardship hero.

[ ] Build a hidden operating room for Dr. Moon (DC 66)
We should buy up real estate to make this lower-DC before trying it.

[ ] Build a space building (DC 18)
We should seriously consider it. It might trigger Carol Ferris' nascent building trait, and it's up her alley.

[ ] Design and produce spy drones (DC 10)
Want. May help with other Intrigue actions.

[ ] Begin producing children's television (DC 15)
[ ] Release what you have (DC 0)
Worth considering.

[ ] Begin producing merchandising for "The Curse of the Atomic Skull" (DC 0)
If we do it, we should put a hero on it, to help us recruit Daphne Dean.

[ ] Purchase real estate (DC 0)
Important for us to do dirty deeds later.

[ ] Sell Universal Translators (DC 12)
Makes us famous, has big effects.

[ ] Begin producing hologram technology (DC 10)
[ ] Begin production of nanites (DC 18)
[ ] Begin producing computers (DC 7)
Could be really handy and make a ton of money.

[ ] Offer LexCorp's services as an ISP (DC 53 (DC 23 if Felicity is assigned))
[ ] Construct servers (DC 26 (DC 6 if Felicity is assigned))
Could be good... unless we have something else for Felicity to do.

INTRIGUE

[ ] Investigate inside the company (DC 45)
We need to find any remaining leaks.

[ ] Search for hidden artifacts (DC 134 (DC 60 if Nygma assigned))
Keeps Nygma out of our hair, might turn up something useful.

[ ] Investigate the Armless and Legless Master (DC 35)
[ ] Investigate Richard Dragon (DC 77)
Potential martial arts tutors for Cassandra Luthor.

[ ] Locate Intergang (DC 37)
Could be helpful. We risk losing track of their activities if we don't take this every few turns.

[ ] Locate Tobias Whale's blackmail (DC ???)
Tempting but would require a megaproject.

[ ] Plug the leaks (DC 42)
Practically a must.

[ ] Install signal jammers in LexCorp Tower (DC 48)
Tempting, will improve internal security.

[ ] Upgrade the surveillance system in LexCorp (DC 62)
May improve the chances of stopping others from infiltrating us. Good option for Sam Scudder, since he's good at breaking into surveillance systems he might be good in a 'white hat' role at setting them up.

[ ] Create a worldwide spy network (DC 72)
Future goal. We need more info. This may help with further actions.

[ ] Investigate the vanishing Lex-Phone (DC 36)
Cues us to the Flash. Tempting now that we have some of his villains, but eh.
By the way, @King crimson , were we going to get specific options for hiring the other Flash villains Lisa recommended, or are they under "Hire ex-cons" or something?

[ ] Run background checks (DC ??? for Cerise)
I'm tempted, I really am.

[ ] Investigate Intergang (DC 48)
We know they're developing giant mecha on top of their other assets, and it sounds like that's coming along with the aid of a normal, Earthly super-scientist.

[ ] Investigate the unknown individual (DC 43)
We definitely want to take this.

LEARNING

[ ] Learn about robotics (DC 35)
May help with A.M.A.Z.O. ?

[ ] Learn more about engineering (DC 18)
Low-DC learning actions appeal to me.

[ ] Learn about military strategy (DC 14)
May make Martial actions easier.

[ ] Learn about possession (DC 22)
This would be a really useful capability. Good for countering Superman, good for a really weird deniable assassination technique. Low-DC, and we have two magicians on payroll.

[ ] Learn about nanotech (DC 222)
Throwing Lex and a megacollaboration at this might help us do A.M.A.Z.O. better, but I was hoping to have Lex teach Cass language this turn.

[ ] Improve signal jammers (DC 31)
Might be a good idea. Increases security.

[ ] Improve wards (DC 19)
Another good magic research choice.

[ ] Improve phones (DC 17)
I strongly suggest we roll out the L-Phone 3.

[ ] Improve bone growth formula (DC 65 (DC 45 if Helfern assigned))
Has potential.

[ ] Consult on Project Atom (DC 44)
Tempting.

[ ] Improve weapons (DC 9)
An action likely to go well without heroes.

[ ] Improve AI (DC 93)
An ambitious push here might give us easier progress on A.M.A.Z.O.

[ ] Improve tracking chips (DC 17)
I think we've neglected this, could be good.

[ ] Improve combat robots (DC 12)
Our killbots are kind of ass, it's embarrassing.

[ ] Improve pheromone spray (DC 60 (DC 20 if Pamela Isley assigned))
Making this more effective would be nice.

[ ] Create the automobile of tomorrow (DC 19)
I will NOT rest until we've got millions of kryptonite-powered cars zipping around every major thoroughfare in America!

Because fuck Superman, that's why. :p

[ ] The A.M.A.Z.O. project (DC 180 (DC 105 if Ivo assigned))
@King crimson , we DID make progress on this last turn, didn't we?

[ ] Investigate lost civilizations (DC ???)
[ ] Study Mythology (DC 16)
[ ] Learn about the Sword of Beowulf (DC 18)
Interesting magic research options. Could keep Nygma busy.

[ ] Use the perfected human plant integration (DC 45 for Karl, DC 30 for Roxy)
We might want to consider making one of these two hero units a chlorokinetic meta.

[ ] Study Whisper's corpse (DC ???)
We could sic Doctor Moon on this, but he might do something insane instead.
DC ??? Whisper A'Daire is an alien who apparently was capable of energy projection. Studying her relatively intact alien corpse could allow you to gain a better understanding of both her powers and of alien physiology.

SUPERCOMPUTER

[ ] [Comp] Develop an algorithm to maximize the effectiveness of advertising (DC ???, Diplomacy)
Tempting.

[ ] [Comp] Have your supercomputer check the satellite data for any discrepancies (DC 31, Intrigue)
[ ] [Comp] Have your supercomputer gather information on the unknown individual (DC ???, Intrigue)
The unknown is a hacker, so the supercomputer may be unusually effective. Learning the secrets of Mars sounds fun.

Yes you get a Bane special actions if you take the action again which can lead to events.
@King crimson , I'm actually a bit unclear on how this differs from the "Arm the US government with your tech" Martial option.
Private corporations and individuals can buy your tech when you aren't selling to the government that's the difference.
By the way, @King crimson , were we going to get specific options for hiring the other Flash villains Lisa recommended, or are they under "Hire ex-cons" or something?
Hire ex-cons with one of the Snart siblings would get you most of them fairly easily.
@King crimson , we DID make progress on this last turn, didn't we?
Yup that's another thing I forgot. I'm going to fix that now.

I think throwing two actions at living quarters in the same turn is a little much. I'd also like to take another HQ action, and some other things.

I really feel like we should be clearing out all the low hanging fruits, they are beneficial and not likely to fail and we will ignore them when the next crises hits.
There are a LOT of low-hanging fruit.

[] Integrate hidden weapons system into exosuits
Note that this action doesn't give exosuits more firepower, it just hides the weapons. Not very useful. I'd avoid it for now.

We want to establish diplomatic relations to the new regent, and the importance of the Kryptonite Man just before the Superman emerges cannot be understated.
[] Meet with Count Vertigo

The latter is likely to be a diplomatic megaproject. Something we'd have to throw Lex+Pamela at or something. I'd rather hold off for a turn.

OK fair, but I value having Mari on some other option enough that I'd rather not put her ON the action.

Shadowy actions we wanted to take.

DC for Dr. Moon is high and if we fail, we get a lab where he gets caught. We should buy land first.

[] Learn about cold

Let's not be impatient. "Learn about cold" is hard enough that we'd need a collaboration to crack it even with Lenny's special talents. I want to nail down the bone growth formula first.

OK. This gives us two actions on the mystery hacker. We also put two actions on internal security (I want to take at least one per turn for a long time now; we've got holes in our security big enough for a Whale to slip through).

We take relatively few Martial actions, but this lets us concentrate a strong Martial team on each. "Crush all criminals" needs to be taken very seriously if it's taken at all. And working in Santa Prisca will help us gain access to Venom, a powerful human augmentation option.

For diplomacy, we meet Count Vertigo, and (IMO important) we work on something to make Ivo actually grateful to us. We can't put Oswald on that one though because Oswald hates Ivo. Roxy, Marie, or Mari might be good choices.

[Note: I favor the Nobel Prize thing because, well. Consider. If AMAZO succeeds, either because we decline to assassinate Ivo or because he crits unexpectedly, Ivo will be inside a very powerful robot body. If he is pissed off at us, that could be very bad. If he likes us and thinks we respect him, he may be our friend or at least our ally. That would be good; it's an investment for the future]

In Stewardship, we get another shot at Flash villains like Heat Wave, buy land for Dr. Moon's secret lab, get set up as an ISP and start manufacturing computers with our weird alien factory tech.

In Intrigue, well, as I described, the focus is on internal security and the mystery hacker.

In Learning, We get the L-Phone 3, improved bone growth, and THIS time maybe we get a kryptonite-mobile. :p Going into the jungle to chase after lost civilizations will keep Nygma out of our nonexistent hair for a while.

its mostly good but we really should swap something for Improving PMC since we are apparently going all hands on deck in Santa Prisca.

I would drop either vertigo or the civilisations since you arent going to wait for automobiles apparently.

Which Intriguue Heros do we asign to this?

We take relatively few Martial actions, but this lets us concentrate a strong Martial team on each. "Crush all criminals" needs to be taken very seriously if it's taken at all. And working in Santa Prisca will help us gain access to Venom, a powerful human augmentation option.

Kathrene is ideal for Santa Prisca and she is respected. I am worried about the Crush all criminals option because while Rose has high stats, she is still green and may not be taken seriously.

For diplomacy, we meet Count Vertigo, and (IMO important) we work on something to make Ivo actually grateful to us. We can't put Oswald on that one though because Oswald hates Ivo. Roxy, Marie, or Mari might be good choices.

He is Lord Regent, Ozzy may be good for the meeting and so does Roxie but if Roxie goes, Rebecca need to go to keep her in check.

Marie is best choice for Ivo but her co-op is best with Lenny & Samuel both who are suck with the Intrigue & Stewardship tasks.....dammit

In Intrigue, well, as I described, the focus is on internal security and the mystery hacker.

Mercy + Samuel co-op is best but can they do 1 task each solo?

In Learning, We get the L-Phone 3, improved bone growth, and THIS time maybe we get a kryptonite-mobile. :p Going into the jungle to chase after lost civilizations will keep Nygma out of our nonexistent hair for a while.
I'd prefer sending Nygma out to find all the magic swords with every action. More profitable if we collect the entire Merlin set or the Sword of Fan Ra's gave us the clue to.

We really need to improve our PMC, sell our weaons, develop an exosuit/drone tech. Hell we could start building nanotech then research it next turn for a reduced DC (since we can produce it now). Nanotech has tonnes of possbilities. We should also start building a relationship with DOMA. Make friends with the powerful people next door? Plus we can offload some of our problems to them that way.
