I'm really curious to hear people's thoughts on this. Feel free to discuss it. I will state off the bat that certain things (Whisper A'Daire's doomsday device) are significantly different in quest from in this pitch. I am curious to see the speculation this will cause although I will warn not to rely on this to guide your actions in Quest (it will lead to some potentially crippling miscalculations)

In his research he has discovered that the core mining that the council is undertaking will cause Krypton to collapse. The doom of Krypton was inevitable for centuries but current plans have accelerated it. Jor-El takes his findings to the council but he is dismissed since the councils consult the supercomputer charged with the preservation of Krypton, Brainiac and he denies that doomsday is coming. Jor-El prepares a ship for his whole family to leave in but before he leaves he investigates why Brainiac disagrees with him. In his investigation he discovers that Brainiac is lying and is planning to leave Krypton since it will be destroyed. Brainiac leaves because he chooses to escape and preserve as much as possible and the council would prevent that. Jor-El flees but is ultimately killed along with his wife by Zod who reveals he made a deal with Brainiac that in exchange for saving Kandor Zod would deadlock the council to allow Brainiac to move behind the scenes. As a last act of spite Jor-El launches the rocket which contains the relics of house El into space at a random coordinate to prevent Zod and Brainiac from getting their hand on it and Kal-El. The rocket lands in an empty field in Kansas.
- Episode 2- Action: The episode opens with Superman undergoing an interview at the Daily Planet. Perry White reveals that Clark previously couldn't really hold down a job and as a child was involved in several mysterious accidents that resulted in massive amounts property damage. Clark eventually manages to convince Perry to hire him on a probational level and Clark ends up getting assigned to join Lois Lane so she can show him the ropes and then Perry will see if he wants to keep Clark on the staff. Clark and Lois head to a Lexcorp convention that is showing off the new advanced military gear Lex Luthor has created. The convention is then attacked by Intergang goons. Lois wants to get involved and stop the thieves but Clark wants to keep his job and tells her to not get involved and that the police have it handled. The police don't have it handled and the Intergang goons take everyone hostage. In the attempt to escape one of the intergang goons shoots a little girl in front of Clark and do to his desire not to attract attention he fails to save her. The Intergang goons get away. Clark feels incredibly guilty for not saving the girl and goes home to talk to ma and pa Kent. They tell him the secret of his birth and tell him that he is no longer living with them so he can do what he feels is best with the power he has. Clark puts on the Superman suit. The Intergang goons are laughing over how easy it was to steal the microchips from the Lexcorp convention when Superman shows up ready to confront them. He easily beats all of them despite their laser weaponry and the mech suit in the base. The next day Clark shows up to the Daily Planet with an article on the miraculous arrival of Superman and how he caught the Intergang goons and left them for the police. Perry likes the article but forces him to work closely with Lois Lane so that they will balance each other out.
- Episode 3- Firestarter: Superman continues to utterly decimate crime and the intergang is losing more money and tech than ever before. Bruno Manneheim is furious about all of this and want to get rid of Superman no matter what it takes. He then orders his team to start bringing out the big guns in order to deal with Superman. Meanwhile Clark is struggling to deal with Lois who views him as a coward for what happened at the Lexcorp convention. Clark tries to explain but makes little headway against Lois who eventually challenges him to go and do some work on investigating why Intergang has been stealing so much tech over the past few weeks ever since Superman has shown up. The two go to the docks where they investigate what intergang has been up to. The two get discovered and lasers are shot at them. Lois gets captured and Clark gets set on fire by a mysterious man in power armor. Clark quickly jumps into the river and swims away. The mysterious armored man lets Clark get away and tells his minions that now they should have Superman's attention since they have both bait and someone to tell what happened. The man in power armor is revealed to be called Ignition and is an underboss of Intergang. The group departs. Clark later resurfaces and heads to the police station. He claims that he was saved by Superman and asks the police if they can find Lois. The police can't. Clark then searches for her as Superman beats up some criminals and still can't find Lois. Then a broadcast is hijacked by Intergang and Ignition challenges Superman to a fight to the death in Centenial Park or else he will execute Lois. Superman agrees. And flies off to the park for the fight. Ignition releases Lois and lets her run away. Ignition then broadcasts the fight on all channels to prove the invincibility of Intergang. Lots of stuff is set on fire he and Superman have a big fight but Superman ultimately wins on live television setting him up as the protector of Metropolis. The episode ends with Superman talking to Lois and telling her that Clark told him what was going on so that he could save her. He then gives her a communicator that lets out a beep at a frequency only he can hear and tells her to use that to contact him and that he gave Clark one as well.
- Episode 4- The Man Who Owns Metropolis: Following the disaster that was their last assignment Perry White tells Lois and Clark to go interview Lex Luthor since he has an interesting perspective about the increasing force of Intergang and the emergence of Superman. On the way to Lexcorp Lois gives Clark a rundown of the history of Lex Luthor revealing that he is a super genius who built the worlds largest tech companies and is one of the biggest weapons dealers on the planet. When they arrive Mercy Graves lets them in and they talk to Luthor. Luthor doesn't like Superman and doesn't trust him. He tells Lois and Clark that he regrets that the Intergang was allowed to move unchecked and criticizes Superman for the destruction his fight with Ignition caused. Lex Luthor then states that he could do a better job of stopping the Intergang's crimes then Superman and reveals his new security drone the Golem Mark 1 to Lois and Clark. The Golem Mark 1 is a giant flying robot that spits out smaller drones that can form riot shields or spray containment foam. The Golem Mark 1 is deployed and it does prove better at catching criminals than Superman. As such Clark temporarily retires from being Superman while Lois is skeptical about how long Luthor's solution will actually work. In order to get passed this Bruno to contacts Kyle Abbot also known as the Key to help Intergang. The Key hacks the Golem Mark 1 and turns it against Metropolis while Intergang proceeds to rob everything with impunity. Superman comes out of retirement and ends up destroying the Golem Mark 1 and catching the Key. Intergang escapes and Lex Luthor's reputation is tarnished in the eyes of the public thanks to the havoc his robot caused when hacked. The episode ends with Luthor and Superman talking to each other with Luthor declaring to Superman that he is unneeded an Lex will pave the road to the future.
- Episode 5- Black as Pitch: Lois and Clark end up investigating a chemical factory that they think is conducting illegal activities. They do some investigative journaling and they prove that the factory is exploiting its workers and engaging in inhumane testing behind closed doors before writing a news article on it. This ends up destroying the life of the owner of the factory Bradley Tanner who feels that the illegal businesses were the only way he could compete with giants like Lexcorp which also employ ethical loopholes but keep it out of country to avoid having issues with the law. Bradley ends up approaching Intergang seeking revenge for what he feels Lois and Clark did to him. He then gets told by Bruno to speak with Winslow Schlott. Winslow is revealed to be the brains behind most of Intergangs new high-tech weaponry that he reverse engineers and combines from a variety of sources. Winslow enhances Bradley through a mix of chemical and technological equipment and gives Bradley mental control over a swarm of nanites that he can then shape into physical objects. Bradley then dubs himself Blackrock and declares his intention to get revenge on all those who have wronged him and leaves. Bruno then asks Winslow why he would give an idiot so much technology to fight Superman when he already knows Superman is going to win. Winslow reveals that the answer is threefold, it allows Intergang to steal something somewhere else, it allows them to test out Superman's capabilities and finally he just wanted to test the new toys Whisper gave him. Blackrock attacks the Daily Planet and tries to kill Lois. Superman shows up and fights off Blackrock and defeats him. The episode ends with the intergang having stolen more parts and Winslow saying that he has a few more tests to run and then he is ready to play with Superman.
- Episode 6- Faster than a Locomotive: The episode opens with Winslow and Bruno bickering. Bruno is frustrated at Winslow's attempts to beat Superman only making the Intergang look weak while Winslow believes that Bruno's rushing will get them all caught earlier by Superman. Whisper A'Daire then shows up and prevents the two from fighting. She warns them not to let ego grow out of control and that she is the one enabling them to have so much power. Whisper then tells Winslow that his newest machine has been assembled and Intergang is ready to begin their next operation. Meanwhile Clark is attempting to show the newest intern at the Daily Planet how things are run since Perry ordered him to do so due to being the newest member of the staff. Jimmy is inquisitive and manages to severely exasperate Lois with his inane questions. Clark ends up foisting Jimmy onto Lois when he hears cries for help. Superman then must stop a missile from hitting a public place. When he succeeds in doing so another missile is launched causing Superman to rush over to a different part of the city. Lois eventually foists Jimmy onto Cat Grant in order to not deal with him any more who then passes him onto Steve Lombard. Nobody likes Steve Lombard so Jimmy Olsen leaves. Superman must stop more and more missiles and is starting to get tired since the barrage won't stop and if anything has actually sped up. It then cuts to Winslow who reveals what his plan is. By creating an invisible floating missile platform, he is going to continuously launch missiles at different parts of the city in order to both figure out Superman's speed of arrival and to tire him out and push him to his limits. Jimmy Olsen sees Superman flying around and takes a bunch of pictures of him coming and going and using them triangulates the location of the invisible platform. He reveals this to Lois who then gets the police (Maggie Sawyer, John Jones and Dan Turpin) to shut down the machine. The article explaining what happened that day is published in the news and uses Jimmy's pictures. Jimmy is hired at the Daily Planet and Clark goes home to take a well-deserved nap
- Episode 7- Untouchable: The episode opens with Lois and Clark discussing a recent string of impossible robberies from S.T.A.R. labs. Lois mentions about how the thefts seem to match Intergang's recent streak of attempting to steal advanced technology to find a magic bullet against Superman. Clark questions Lois if Superman is a good thing if criminals are escalating and Lois states that despite Luthor's claims to the contrary the villains of the city were always endangering people, only now everyone can see it, and someone is trying to fix it. Perry then tells Lois to go with Jimmy to talk to Emile Hamilton about the new metal he has created called Prometheium. Lois asks why Clark isn't going and he tells her that he is going to visit his father who recently has gotten very sick, so he asked Perry for leave for the next few days. The scene then cuts to Clark going home and finding out that his father is dying of cancer. Clark begins to cry because of the news. The scene then shifts back to Lois and Jimmy who are being given a tour by Emile Hamilton who tells them that Prometheium is a wonder metal. The alarm goes off and Hamilton tells Jimmy and Lois to stay calm as security has been upgraded to ridiculous levels in order to deal with the rising amount of super-crime. However, the mysterious thief just phases through every measure and eventually grabs the Prometheium. Hamilton asks who he is, and the thief responds that he is the Wraith and that Intergang sends their regards. As he flees with the Promethium Lois uses the communicator she was given by Superman. Back in Smallville Clark discusses with his parents the nature of Superman as a symbol and how he is frustrated that for all the good he can do punching things stuff like pa's disease he can't do anything about. Ma and pa reassure him a bit about everything going on in his life, but Clark suddenly has to leave when he hears the signal from the communicator he gave Lois going off. Superman flies off to Metropolis to figure out what is going on when he sees the Wraith fleeing S.T.A.R. labs. Superman confronts him and tries to stop him from escaping but the Wraith just turns intangible every time Superman tries to hit him and after a long chase scene the Wraith manages to get away. Superman then goes to the police who are talking to Lois and Hamilton to discus what happened and how they can deal with the Wraith. The scene then cuts to Whisper, Bruno Manneheim and Winslow meeting with the Wraith who hands them the Prometheium. However, as Winslow compliments the Wraith on a job well done, the Wraith informs them that he got a better deal and that Lex Luthor sends his regards. The place they are in blows up and the Wraith turns intangible to escape. However, Whisper creates a forcefield to shield her Bruno and Winslow from the blast and telekinetically short circuits his suit and slams the Wraith against a wall knocking him out. The police then arrive later at the wreckage left behind and arrest the Wraith. The Wraith laughs that he can't be held, and he mocks them. As the episode closes with Superman talking to Lois and telling her that he failed to do his job this time and she responds that even if the villains are untouchable Superman is at least helping others finish the job.
- Episode 8- Cutting Edge: The episode opens with Lex talking to Mercy and the two snark about the state of the city. Lex mentions that thanks to the chaos the Wraith caused at S.T.A.R. labs Lexcorp security and weaponry are more in demand than ever before. Mercy then mentions that she hopes that his expo today will go better than the last one. Lex then states that he has the Golem Mark 2 doing security and that unless Superman interferes everything should go according to plan. The scene then cuts to Lois and Clark discussing what Lex would want to show off. Lois is frustrated that all the chaos in Metropolis recently has only been aiding Lex's efforts to make money and that his smugness is incredibly infuriating. Clark then comments about how maybe Lex has a point about allowing people to defend themselves and Lois tells him that if Luthor really cared about protecting the common man he wouldn't be inviting rich men and generals to his expos that he holds in his tower. At the expo Luthor begins his presentation about the new tech Lexcorp has developed when a cyborg ninja with a Prometheium sword and armor infiltrates the building. Clark notices this and makes a lame excuse while leaving so that he can get in his costume and stop the infiltrator. The lights all get caught and the ninja announces that Lex Luthor unfairly destroyed his company when he attempted to compete and ruined his life. Luthor denies this and claims that he was a nobody. The ninja gets mad and declares that he was once a nobody but now he is Khyber. Lex reassures the attendees that everything is fine and that this is an excellent demonstration of the Golem Mark 2. Lois hits the communicator. Khyber then has to fight off swarms of robots and is close to being overwhelmed. Then Superman shows up and the robots begin at him as well. Khyber exploits this opening and destroys many of the robots and he briefly explains to Superman that he doesn't hate him but since Intergang created the armor for his revenge against Luthor he is obligated to do so. Superman destroys the robots that are shooting at him and fights Khyber as well. Khyber manages to keep up with Superman thanks to the Prometheium gear and eventually escapes to attack the actual convention. Superman isn't able to stop Khyber in time and he is about to cut Lex in half when Lex calmly tells Mercy to unveil his hidden project. Mercy pulls out a high-tech pistol and shoots Khyber with it. This causes his armor to lock up and makes him unable to move. Luthor gives a little speech about how he invented the gun after Superman failed to catch the Wraith and realized a weakness in the schematics of the power armor Intergang's superhuman enforcers have used. Luthor then tells Superman to get out of his building since he is unwanted there. Superman complies not wanting to cause a scene. He then changes back into Clark. He then asks Luthor how he could justify putting so many lives at stake on a hunch that he had. Luthor dismisses him. Lois is finally impressed with Clark for actually standing up to Lex Luthor and the episode ends with Luthor looking out at the skyline of Metropolis.
- Episode 9- Twist and Shout: The episode opens with Bruno demanding that Winslow get results soon. Winslow then complains that he is not being given enough resources to do so in the first place. Bruno then threatens Winslow that he is on thin ice and if Whisper didn't value his life he would be dead. Winslow then gets back to work and mutters things about his genius not being recognized. Lois and Clark meanwhile are attempting to investigate where Intergang gets their technology from. There are not enough stolen resources to justify the advanced tech Intergang keeps using. Clark looks into what happened to previous villains' armor and weapons while Lois goes to pick Lex's brain on the matter. Lois speaks to Lex and Lex reveals that he doesn't know where the technology came from and that he suspects that Intergang is actually reverse engineering more advanced technology rather than creating their own. Clark meanwhile finds no traces of Intergang. While the history he digs up reveals that Intergang has been around for a while the advanced tech is a very new thing and has only happened since a woman named Whisper A'Daire joined the leadership of Intergang. Before Clark can get more information, a tornado occurs in the middle of Metropolis. Clark changes into his costume and rushes off to face this threat. The person generating the tornado is a man in a high tech suit who calls himself Mister Twister. Mister Twister and Superman duke it out for a bit before Mister Twister realizes he is outmatched and flees. Superman would chase after him, but civilians are endangered and Superman prioritizes saving their lives over catching the villain. The next day Lois and Clark are discussing their investigations with Perry White and insist that there is probably a big story to tell here. Perry is somewhat skeptical but trusts Lois' intuition. However, before a conclusion is reached Mister Twister attacks the Daily Planet. Perry tries to protect Lois but is blown away by Mister Twister who then abducts Lois. Clark checks that Perry is okay before leaving to become Superman. Superman then fights Mister Twister again but is severely hampered by the villain having a hostage (Lois). Mister Twister still isn't able to deal with Superman and so drops Lois from a very high height in order to attempt a getaway. Superman catches Lois and then demonstrates his heat vision (as that is a projectile that wouldn't get blown away) to hit Mister Twister and knock him out of the sky. The episode ends with Winslow getting told by Bruno that he has one last chance to deal with Superman before Intergang abandons him as Winslow's attempts are only causing more problems not less.
- Episode 10- Fun and Games: The episode opens with a violent explosion. Superman rushes in to save the civilians from a burning building. After everyone is removed from the building and is safe every phone in the area begins to ring with an unknown caller and all the television in the area is highjacked as Winslow makes a pronouncement. Winslow declares himself the Toyman and tells Superman that he is going to play a game. Toyman has arranged a scavenger hunt for Superman. If Superman does not reach a clue in a set amount of time civilians will die from bombs Toyman has scattered across the city. Superman flies off to deal with the first clue. Superman has to deal with missiles being fired at him as he flies, and Winslow mentions that he has a lot of traps set up for him to deal with. The police begin evacuating the city and Lois takes Jimmy and begins to investigate. Superman has to deal with numerous traps and gauntlets which have him nearly being drowned, having a building dropped on him and much more. Nothing manages to slow him down too much which annoys Winslow. Lois manages to discover that the bombs planted by Toyman are a dud and sends a message to Superman about this. After dealing with the latest of Toyman's death traps Superman flies over to where she is. Lois and an awed Jimmy explain to Superman that the threat of the bombs is a ruse. As such Superman waits out the clock for when a civilian would supposedly die. When no explosion occurs everyone is relieved. Toyman once again broadcasts things to Superman and states that he is a cheater. Superman scans the city as Toyman is making his speech and finds him on the outskirt of Metropolis. Superman flies to that location but before he can catch Toyman he is struck by a powerful missile and Toyman reveals that he has a giant robot and that all the previous things were merely to wear Superman down to his limits so that Toyman could take him out personally. Superman fights the giant robot and it is a brutal battle. Toyman is able to bruise and bloody Superman but eventually loses and his robot is destroyed. The episode ends with Toyman going off to jail.
- Episode 11-Corporate Merger: The episode begins with Lois and Clark heading to Stryker's Island, the prison in which Winslow is kept, to try and get information from him about Intergang's advanced technology. They make their way onto the island and the guards warn them that Winslow has been fairly non cooperative. Just as they enter the facility however robots attack the prison. The guards are fighting back but are slowly being corralled into a set area. Lois realizes that this is all a distraction and rushes off towards Winslow's cell. Before she can get there however there is a powerful explosion emanating from that cell whose aftershock injures Lois. Clark feels guilty about this since if he was Superman he could have prevented this mess from occurring. The robots continue to gain ground and a decision is made to free some of the prisoners who are willing to help fight off this attack. Lois, Clark and the guards team up with the prisoners and slowly manage to turn the tide. Some of the guards and prisoners are picked off but overall everyone makes it out okay. The robots are defeated but one of the prisoners reveals that he stole a guards gun and threatens to shoot Lois if he isn't given passage of the island. Lois then talks to the prisoner for a while and ends up distracting him enough for Clark to get in close, rip the gun out of his hands and punch out the prisoner all without revealing he is Superman. The episode ends in Lex Luthor's penthouse where it is revealed that Lex was the one who arranged to fake Winslow's death and break him out of prison as his mind was "to valuable to waste". Mercy even makes a snide comment that since Lex Luthor owns Stryker's Island he was even able to collect insurance money from this event. Luthor then asks Winslow for everything he knows about Intergang and Winslow complies since Intergang treated him poorly at the end. However the episode ends before any information is revealed.
- Episode 12- Whispers from Another World: Clark is done with Intergang as they have gone too far. They are escalating further and further, and he wants to end it. As such Superman issues a challenge to them to fight him and reduce the casualties of the event. Intergang responds by committing a crime somewhere else away from where Superman challenged them to meet him. Furious at this Superman begins cracking down harder than ever on crime and captures many Intergang mooks. Intergang is bleeding manpower and without Winslow they don't have a good way to stop it. Bruno then hatches a desperate scheme to end things. The next day Lois informs Clark that she has finally managed to figure out where Intergang's leadership is hiding thanks to an anonymous source and that the police will shortly be on their way to dealing with things. Clark congratulates her and makes an excuse to step out of the room. Lois then heads out to the roof and uses the communicator Superman gave her. Clark makes the decision to maintain his secret identity and changes into costume before flying to meet her. Lois then reveals to Superman exactly what is going on and states that it is likely some kind of trap and that she wants him to ensure no one dies if things do go pear shaped. Superman agrees and flies off. However, instead of waiting for the police to arrive Superman dives in to take care of them himself. To no ones surprise it is a trap with Bruno and his men lying in wait using high tech mecha suits. Superman fights them and Bruno gives a speech about how there will always be crime and how Superman is responsible for Intergang's escalation. Superman responds that the existence of crime doesn't mean he should stop striving for a better tomorrow and that Intergang was a bunch of murderers long before he showed up. He then defeats Bruno. Before he can turn in Bruno he is surprise attacked by Whisper. Superman attempts to fight back but is caught off guard by her energy projection and her alien technology. Whisper then reveals that she is an alien and is the source of Intergang's advanced technology. She has been hiding on a relatively unknown backwater as it is easier to conquer unadvanced worlds and she has stolen from some very nasty individuals she needs to hide from. She slowly overpowers Superman and brings him to his knees as Superman was not at all prepared for her tricks and is regularly caught off guard by them. Before she can strike a finishing blow however the police (Dan Turpin, Maggie Sawyer and John Jones) arrive and begin to open fire on her. She isn't hit by any bullets but decides to flee, creating a smokescreen and escaping with her allies. Superman bemoans that his overconfidence led to the villains getting away. He swears not to make the same mistake twice and to be more cautious in the future.
- Episode 13- Polarized: About a week after the last episode Emile Hamilton invites Lois Lane and Clark Kent to a symposium that a friend of his, Dr. Neal Emmerson, is hosting in which he claims world-changing technology will be unveiled. Clark has been annoyed all week and he has thrown himself into being Superman and has skimped out on his obligations as Clark Kent. Despite all of this he has found no signs of Intergang and the stress is starting to get to him. Lois is annoyed at Clark and insists he shows up to this as well. They go to the event but Neal Emmerson doesn't show up. Instead a man in a cape who declares himself to be Dr. Polaris attacks the event, claiming that Intergang must be hiding amongst the attendees. The people flee and Lois and Clark get separated. Clark changes into his costume and flies off to confront Dr. Polaris. They fight but Clark is tired from constantly being Superman and Dr. Polaris' taunts about Superman not being good enough to stop Intergang get to him and cause him to make mistakes. Dr. Polaris eventually succeeds in immobilizing Superman but when he sees a clock he flees instead of finishing off the man of steel. Superman eventually breaks out and flies off, searching for Dr. Polaris. Lois calls Clark but he brushes her off, telling himself that he needs to be Superman right now to save the day. Lois is annoyed at Clark. And goes on investigating what is going on. She talks to Emile Hamilton who reveals that Emmerson was always convinced that he needed to save the world with his inventions and that it left a good deal of strain in his life. Emile hopes that the damage done by Dr. Polaris will not be too great. Lois encounters Dr. Neal Emmerson who then reveals that he has no idea who stole his infinite magnetic energy technology and that he woke up knocked out in his apartment. The scene then cuts back to Superman later in the day still searching for Dr. Polaris. However, he doesn't find much. Dr. Polaris later shows up downtown ostensibly searching for Intergang. Superman goes to confront him but the nonstop action has worn Superman down and Dr. Polaris is able to wear him down. He claims that he is about to remove Superman so he can search for Intergang unimpeded when Lois shows up. She reveals that Dr. Polaris is lying about caring about Intergang and that everyone who has died of been injured in his attacks was someone who knew Neal Emmerson. Dr. Polaris congratulates Lois on solving it and then moves to kill her. Lois runs and uses a camera flash to blind Dr. Polaris for a few seconds. Superman uses the time that Lois bought him to recover and hits Dr. Polaris from behind before destroying the technology that was letting him manipulate magnetism. Dr. Polaris is unmasked, and it is revealed that he is apparently Neal Emmerson. Dr. Polaris then clarifies that he is a split personality that formed out of all the desires Neal suppressed out of his "duty" to save the world and acted as an unrestrained Id. Dr. Polaris was attempting to cut of all of Neal's support structure so that he'd work himself into a coma and let Dr. Polaris take control all of the time. He then goes to prison. The next day Clark apologizes to Lois and stated that he had some work-life balance issues but that he is going to do better going forward.
- Episode 14- An End to Intergang: The episode opens with Lex Luthor giving a call to Lois asking her to meet with him. Lois agrees to do so even if she doesn't trust him. When Lois meets Lex, Luthor asks her to contact Superman as he knows she has a way of doing so and the discussion he wants to have will involve him. Lois reluctantly agrees and uses her communicator to contact Superman. Superman arrives and is suspicious of a trap before Lex begins to explain why he is here. Lex has located where Intergang's leadership is hiding. However, the police will not be able to handle them. Lex cannot deal with the physical aspects of removing them from power but can defeat the technological side while Superman cannot defeat the technological side but is strong enough to handle the physical. Superman begrudgingly agrees to the team up that Lex proposes and tells him not to pull a fast one. The next day they attack the headquarters and Intergang gets routed. Whisper shows up to turn the tide but between Lex and Superman she is slowly getting overpowered. She flees into a back room and Bruno takes over in a mecha suit. Mercy then occupies Bruno and Lex and Superman chase after Whisper. They catch her in a room with a massive technical device. Whisper reveals that if she turns on the device everyone on earth will die. Lex calls her bluff and tells Superman that he can turn it off. Whisper then turns the device on and attempts to flee one last time. Lex begins rapidly disabling the device while Superman chases after Whisper. There is one last fight and Superman ends up successfully capturing Whisper. Lex manages to turn off the device but is perplexed. He informs Superman that the device merely boosted a signal that was sent off into deep space. As such while he turned it off the signal was still spent. Whisper then laughs and states that the collector of worlds will destroy all of earth. All the device did was boost the tracking signal on some of his stolen property and that when he arrives on earth every living thing will either be collected or perish. The episode ends with an ominous giant skull ship being visible in the sky over Metropolis.
- Episode 15- Remnants of Krypton: The skull ship sends out wave after wave of robots, far more advanced than anything seen on earth. The police is helpless to fight against them. Superman abandons Mercy and flies off to fight them. He manages to defeat the robots but more pour out and even larger ones arrive. Superman is forced to use everything he has got and it appears that the battlefield is cleared but out of the smoke a large green man can be seen. The green man states that he never expected to encounter another Kryptonian ever again as he had already dealt with their homeworld. Superman is confused and doesn't understand at all. This seems to confuse the green man who introduces himself as Brainiac and asks why Superman wears the last symbol of the House of El if he doesn't know what Krypton is or what the symbol means. Superman just states that he is here to defend Earth and begins to attack Brainiac. He goes even with the alien despot for a while before Brainiac gets bored. He claims he has analyzed the extent of a Kryptonian's capabilities under yellow sun radiation and states that he intends to end this farce. He then pulls out a green rock which causes immense agony to Superman. Brainiac reveals the substance to be Kryptonite which is fatal to Kryptonians. He then goes and takes Superman aboard his ship. He ties up the captured Kryptonian and plans to later vivisect him. The skull ship flies to the north pole as Brainiac idly muses which places he wants to take from earth to get the best collection of the planet before he destroys it. The episode ends with Superman struggling to break free.
- Episode 16- Open Horizons: The episode ends with the skull ship hovering over the north pole. The military arrives and attempts to destroy the alien invader but all attacks are rendered useless against the skull ships shields. Brainiac then counterattacks and wipes out everyone arrayed against him. The scene then cuts to a briefing room where military officials are panicking as they have no way to take on an alien invasion. Lex Luthor then arrives and tells them he has a plan that just might work. The scene then cuts back to Superman and Brainiac on the skull ship. Brainiac informs Superman that his Kryptonian name is Kal El and that he is the son of the man who opposed Brainiac in the last days of Krypton. He then asks Superman what they call him on earth and Superman states that he is called Superman before asking why he was curious and Brainiac informs him that it is so he can properly label his cadaver as he pulls out a Kryptonite knife. A series of missiles then fly up against the skull ships shields and Brainiac takes amusement from it. He asks Superman why humans would bother doing something they knew was pointless and hopeless and Superman tells Brainiac not to underestimate humans. At that very moment the skull ship is struck by a space station that was dropped out of orbit on top of the skull ship, the missiles being merely a way to mask the objects approach. The shields hold but the entire ship is slammed into a glacier. Superman breaks free of his bonds and blows up Brainiac's kryptonite knife with his heat vision. Rather than stay and confront Brainiac, Superman flies off to destroy the skull ship from the inside out. Brainiac activates all of the robots on the ship to recapture Superman. Superman races after Brainiac and they fight one last time in space. This time Superman manages to defeat the now livid and unbalanced Brainiac who asks how he could have lost. Superman simply states that the reason he lost is because his own dismissal of things he didn't understand as pointless let his enemies blindside him. Brainiac swears vengeance on Superman. He mentions that he is a computer program and that destroying his physical body will do nothing to him as he has backups. He then mentions that thanks to the House of El he has learned to hate and informs Superman that he hopes he joins his father in oblivion and the skull ship self-destructs with various fragments of it raining down all over the earth. Superman is blown off course by the blast and for the first time sees earth from space. He realizes just hoe beautiful it is. Superman then returns to Earth and speaks to Lois Lane.
