@King crimson , is there an option for "and let the government keep running the tests?" I don't actually object to them doing that.
Not really. I mean I can throw it on there if people want. It'll just take a bit cause class starts in a minute for me
@King crimson , are you talking about a plan vote for the prisoners?
I'd like everything to be in one plan for the subvotes (makes it easier to track).
@King crimson , how DO we know about Johnny Sorrow's subspace device? And come to think of it, there might be horrors lurking in that dimension, which we may not be ready for. :(
Diana sent you the data the DEO had on the device.
@King crimson

Most of our voting items can reasonably be separated as line-item votes (e.g. what we do with Rose Wilson doesn't really have much to do with what we do with Cerise or with the senator's campaign or who we tell about the Intergang stuff).

Can we just specifically have a vote plan for what to do with the prisoners and vote on that separately? Because otherwise a lot of the debate we'd otherwise have focusing on what to do with the prisoners is going to end up subordinated to preferences about what other things to vote for. We won't be able to concentrate on that issue, when that's the one where having a coherent plan is most important.
I'd like everything to be in one plan to make it easy to track for me this time
@King crimson: So, can we try to brainwash Tobias if he sets off the Anti-Bad Intent wards? Actually, can we just brainwash him regardless? Would be easier if we know for a fact he won't defile our city, and would probably make the Crime options easier.

With the criminal kingpin under our control, it would be a lot easier removing the more problematic criminals and getting the more useful ones to be productive for us.
It would be reactionary but sure.

[ ] [Rose] Offer to subsidize her tuition fees for the school she is attending

Student loans are a bitch. Let's build a rep fore recruiting Talents.
I mean, yes to paying her tuition, but I want her working with us as soon as possible since she's already close to adulthood if not there in terms of stat performance.

[ ] [PD] Test reactions to bad intent wards placed inside someone with bad intent
[ ] [PD] Test Pamela's pheromone control

Have to test if the wards still work on people under Mind Control. Loopholes in magical defences are always a security risk.
Oooh, good point.

@King crimson , can we have as a write-in: "try to brainwash some of the prisoners with pheromones and see if that lets them pass the bad intent wards?" With the kind of brainwashing being things like "They want to attack LexCorp, but have been brainwashed to think we're someone else and so don't realize they're attacking LexCorp holdings?"

Intention is fill up the gap with some cheap stuff, nothing more. Like how modern CN has Adult Swim or in this current case, Eric Ande shows, Mike Tyson, and some Bob's Burgers, for tomorrow morning.
Well, it's also a good timeslot to fill with reruns of shows adults like or remember from their own childhood, because adults are much more likely to be awake at those hours. And reruns don't consume our creative people's time and energy.

SO, my plan ideas:

1) Rose apprentices under Mercy; I don't want her developing a do-gooder streak when we need more black ops people.
2) Sit on the TV content, make more content Real Soon.
3) Tell everyone about Intergang. This is a big deal, and we're going to need a lot of allies to act against them efficiently.
4) We want to test Cerise to the best of our abilities.
5) Roxy isn't afraid to act on the wrong side of the law and is relatively low profile when she isn't specifically going places on her rocket.

[X] Plan Simon's Plan
-[X] [Rose] Have Rose apprentice under Mercy
-[X] [Name] Lexicon
-[X] [TV] Sit on what you've got
-[X] [Word] Tell the League of Shadows everything you have learned
-[X] [Word] Let General Eiling know everything you have learned about Intergang
-[X] [Word] Let the DOMA in on everything you have learned
-[X] [Cerise] Provide some kind of test for Cerise to pass before hiring her
-[X] [Whale] Have a subordinate meet Whale at a location of your choice- Roxy
-[X] [Senate] Offer monetary donations to Creed Philips' campaign
-[X] [Senate] Lobby for support for Creed Philips
-[X] [PD] Plan breakdown as follows:
--[X} Containment protocols
---[X] Have/let Carl build a special complicated cell around them
---[X] Have Rebecca practice her healing magic on the prisoners as much as practical
--[X] Special Purposes
---[X] Screen any of the prisoners for donor transplant compatibility with Dr. Ivo. Separate out any who can act as useful organ donors to extend Ivo's life. Do not run dangerous or destructive exepriments on them. Perform those transplants if Dr. Ivo consents.
---[X] Screen all prisoners for compatibility with all our known transhuman options and special transformational formulas and substances, to help us decide what to do with which things.
---[X} Keep a few of the prisoners around and do not immediately 'expend' them. Keep these few as a control group or in case we have a specific need for human test subjects at a time when it would be inconvenient to kidnap more right away.
--[X] Stress Testing
---[X] Test reactions to bad intent wards placed inside someone with bad intent. Try this once.
---[X] Test data on Project Atom for creating human bombs, IF and only if we can find a remote test site for this, where a giant explosion won't be suspicious or cause major property damage to us. Try this once, or a few times if we have strong indications that more tests will help.
---[X] For most of the prisoners, in descending order of priority:
----[X] Test the bone growth formula
----[X] Expose them to kryptonite
----[X] Test the pheromone spray and Pamela's pheromone control
-----[X] Test how brainwashing interacts with the bad intent wards using them as test subjects
----[X] Test reactions to the Gingo fruit
----[X] Test reactions to Nth metal
--[X] Get rid of the bodies
---[X] Dissect the bodies of dead prisoners to learn as much as possible about what killed them.
---[X] Dispose of any remains of dead prisoners thoroughly (e.g. by incinerating them and dumping the ashes out over the ocean from an aircraft)

Hey everyone, anyone got ideas for what I might spend XP on that are likely to be more interesting than 'boop Lex's Diplomacy up another point to 31?"

I like the plan, but we need to provide Creed Philips security or he gets kidnapped and mutated into a murderous vigilantie and we wasted our money.
If Eiling is happy with us and keeps sharing data with us that we can use later to create a kryptonite-powered Captain Atom to murderize Superman, I for one will consider it money well spent. :p

[X] Plan Revolutionary Genius Needs to Break a Few Eggs

-[X] [Rose] Have Rose apprentice under Mercy

-[X] [Name] Lexicon

-[X] [TV] Sit on what you've got

-[X] [PD] Plan breakdown as follows:
--[X] First priority
---[X] Test them for compatibility with our Mutagenic materials. Proceed to separate them into two groups, comprised of those who are and are not compatible.
---[X] The second group will be further separated on how problematic they are. Less problematic ones will be reserved for other Meta-Human experiments, whereas more problematic ones will be reserved for more dangerous experiments.
---[X] Those set aside for Meta-Human experiments will need specialized cells made by Carl, to minimize the risk of them getting loose.
--[X] Meta-Human Experiments
---[X] Prioritize those compatible with Bone Growth, and only empower those compatible with Plant Integration if they're also compatible with Bone Growth.
---[X] Test how Gingo Fruit and Nth Metal affects the "Other Meta-Human" group, only enough to learn in what way. If Gingo Fruit produces Metas, test for compatibility with the Bone and Bone-Plant Metas.
---[X] Test out Cybernetic and Magical Augmentation on the "Other Meta-Human" group, avoid anything lethal & make it clear their only choice is what we do to them- Experimentation is unavoidable.
--[X] Dangerous Experiments
---[X] The sacrificial third group, in general, will be subjected to more extreme and risky experiments. For example, being given tissue and/or blood samples from our Metas to research what happens and how to improve general compatibility.
---[X] The most problematic of the sacrifice group will be subjected to the following in descending order of importance: Amazo experimentation by Ives, Project Metallo (extreme cyborgization), Anti-Bad Intent experiments, and Kryptonite exposure.
---[X] Those who survive and a handful who weren't already experimented on, will be subjected to extreme Pheromone experiments with Pamela. The goal is to enlighten them to the greatness of LexCorp.
--[X] Other Experiments
---[X] The more obedient and/or behaved subjects will be involved in AI experimentation, both being models to copy and to interact with the AIs. The goal is to further improve our AIs by sampling more humans.
---[X] Rebecca can experiment with her Healing magic, the goal being to further improve how much and how quickly she can heal. Additionally, if she can manage temporarily or permanently improving their natural healing all the better.
---[X] Pamela will conduct less extreme Pheromone experiments on them, with the experiments being much more cooperative. Experiments will consist of things like compelling away addiction, removing negative opinions/values, and in general forcibly making them better people.
--[X] All in all, the most promising individuals are to be swayed to the LexCorp cause anyway possible- dead people are awfully useless after all.
---[X] If death does occur, dissect the bodies of dead prisoners to learn as much as possible about what killed them.
---[X] Harvest the dead bodies for anything still useful, and let Rebecca experiment on the corpses.

-[X] [Word] Tell the League of Shadows everything you have learned
-[X] [Word] Let General Eiling know everything you have learned about Intergang
-[X] [Word] Let the DOMA in on everything you have learned

-[X] [Senate] Publicly endorse Creed Philips
-[X] [Senate] Offer monetary donations to Creed Philips' campaign
-[X] [Senate] Lobby for support for Creed Philips
-[X] [Senate] Offer Creed Philips strategic use of your resources

-[X] [Cerise] Provide some kind of test for Cerise to pass before hiring her

[X] [Whale] Meet with Whale yourself by making him come to LexCorp tower
-[X] If the Anti-Bad Intent wards affect him, make an "exception" so you can have him "persuaded" with Pamela's Pheromone Control to be our criminal puppet kingpin.

@King_Crimson Is there any reason we can't fill our kid's channel with syndicated shows developed at other studios?

I'm unsure why that would be more expensive than producing the shows ourself. Some shows might have exclusivity agreements, but I would think there are a lot of shows that don't.

@Simon_Jester: How come you didn't include Bone Growth + Plant Integration experiments? It would be easy enough giving Pamela the Bone Growth serum, but we should see how combining the two serums work first.

Also, why not offer a few subjects for Amazo experimentation? Ives would probably prefer that more than regular organ transplant. Plus, we could probably get some Amazo progress by doing something extreme like making Metallos.

Because I'm afraid of what happens if we give one of our prisoners Really Serious Superpowers.

You can imagine it as well as I can. "John Doe was a small-time crook who fell in with the wrong crowd until Lex Luthor kidnapped him and performed insanely unethical experiments on his body." That is like literally the perfect superhero origin story. And the superhero in question would hate us and do everything in their power to screw us over.

People who've been given the bone growth formula or Gingo fruit elasticity are, for lack of a better term, containable. The worst things they can do to you are, well, limited. If you try very hard to kill them with conventional weaponry you will probably succeed, especially if they start out in a heavily built prison cell of the sort Carl Draper designs.

But people with Poison Ivy's plant powers are going to be pretty hard to contain if they ever get access to large amounts of vegetation. People with, say, Captain Atom powers (or weird Doctor Manhattan-esque powers from being an energy being that somehow survives and learns to contain itself) would be much, much worse. So would physically powerful cyborgs.

I'm trying to expend these prisoners, not give them powers they are likely to turn against us if they ever somehow escape.

Furthermore, our current iteration of the bone growth formula is so undeveloped that it's not remotely ready to give to Dr. Isley or anyone else whose life is valuable to us. We would learn very little by giving both formulas to a test subject when the bone growth formula is still so horrifically flawed.

Also, why not offer a few subjects for Amazo experimentation? Ives would probably prefer that more than regular organ transplant.
1) That's not one of the listed options.
2) It's not clear to me in what way the A.M.A.Z.O. project would actually benefit from expendable human test subjects.

Plus, we could probably get some Amazo progress by doing something extreme like making Metallos.
Yes, but we could also do so in many other ways? The only way to get A.M.A.Z.O. progress is to have Ivo work on something high tech and very specifically related to the project.

Clearly we should make a show depicting how self-serving heroes are ala the Boys.
Oh no. We just produce an adaptation of Irredeemable.
We do something like The Boys about five years from now, when superheroes are more publicly 'out' than they are now and they're known in many cities.

We do something like Irredeemable a year or three after the time Superman joins some superhero team like the JLA.

I'm back from class

Cause due to the way copyright works you would end up with an underwhelming number of shows leading to tons of reruns and thus lower viewership and thus lower revenue.

Also it's a balancing thing.

Sure, I'll get on it.

OK cool thanks; when I see it in the subvote post I'll edit it into my plan.
I've added in all of the promised write-ins (If I missed anything let me know).

Also if you are looking for what to spend your exp on you can purchase omakes. Right now you have enough for tales from an Alternate Earth (which has a post detailing the 52 earths of the quest if you want to check that out) , continue the end of the JSA, start the death of Abin Sur which gives more hints to the Blackest Night Prophecy, Snowflame (which is me writing crack), you can look into Gemworld (which I personally think is great and is underused), go deeper into the stories of Oa (for how Hal and friends are doing, or check in with Scarecrow or Commissioner Gordon to see how things are unfolding in the Long Halloween.

Alternatively you could save up for a different omake as well.

@King crimson: For the prisoner vote, are we allowed to sacrifice some for Ives to experiment on? Since the goal of Amazo is to transfer his mind into a super body, he could probably benefit from having others test the process first.

The process of digitizing a brain has not yet been achieved just now. Ivo will wait until he can make an AI that doesn't go mad before trying to transfer human consciousness to a machine version. There is an option to test various AMAZO systems on the prisoners though.

Hm. Maybe in one of his 'off-project' turns we can have Dr. Helfern (and maybe others) research the brain? It might lower the DC of the upload process.
