He says he takes the disciple who choses to return back, and he's being used to power the formations. I suspect he can simply teleport us.
Write-ins shouldn't be the "only safe answers", so that seems unecessary. We also just got into a row by hinting to Meizhen she was fragile, so let's not do that a second time by waiting for her to pass through as well as proposing to give her basic adventuring items.OK, but I still don't see a guarantee that the 1 that passes will be safe then. The safe person will only be the one that's being returned to the entrance?
[X] Volunteer to return. She had only come here to help Meizhen after all
-[X] Politely ask for a guarantee that Meizhen, the one who passes by, will be safe from him
-[X] Politely ask if we can wait on this side while Meizhen passes so we can hear / see that she makes it to the other side safely before being returned to the entrance
-[X] Offer salves / qi pills to Meizhen since she'll need them more than us (and she can return them later)
Nope not sure at all. We haven't seen a roll where someone is multiple stages ahead of us. I'm just going with the how I think the math would go. Both ways still paint a wide gulf it just makes more sense to me to multiply multiple times for each realm. Each realm gets more overwhelming than the last.Does the doubling stack for each stage you are above your opponent? Are you sure it doesn't just double once, or that it scales to triple, quadruple, and so on as you add on stages?
Well shucks, all my math has gone out the window. Great update Yrsillar!
Anyway, I believe a clue can be found from the name of the event. It's the serpent's treasure, not the mouse's. So I would say that we should totally volunteer to let Meizhen go first. We got the art, we got a location, we can share the bat cores with her when she returns. I would say that this adventure is a success for us in that regard.

Anyway, back to the drawing board for the math. Let's see how far we can go with the new additions!
On one hand, we can no longer do six cultivation action turns, but we don't need them as much because with three minor actions we won't be taking the 2 or 3 cultivation action turns. This is actually pretty favorable, though I wonder what closed door cultivation looks like here.
*Cough Cough*
Each turn you will have five major actions and three minor ones. You may trade in all three minor actions for a single major action. You may also choose to attach a minor action to an appropriate major one, once per turn. For example, a minor han jian action could be chosen to attach to a group training action, or a minor su ling action could be attached to a gathering job.
It'd be the shortest word count for a weekly action ever!! Unless we manage the next level or something...On one hand, we can no longer do six cultivation action turns, but we don't need them as much because we three minor actions we won't be taking the 2 or 3 cultivation action turns. The terms are pretty clearly already set. We brought up good points in the update and the tortoise just doesn't seem to care for any reasoning we can bring to the table. Also doesn't hold us in any esteem.
Oh hey, its grade 1 bats... we were looking for pokemons!
I would like to talk with Meizhen see what she want's. We should make clear we are willing to return.
