Wow only 19-20 dice. And she is a second year student so she is unlikely to have improved much since then.
They aren't exactly noobs, her bear kept Cui busy for a while iirc.
It would pay to consider hr spirit beast basically another equivalent fighter at this point with slightly less tricks.
I think this was before the system got reworked though.

Aw pity, I was hoping Shenhua would be decide to be extra sadistic and make it so that Renxiang would face Chu Song as a way to expose her to "reality" by making her crush Chu Song and her clan's dreams as some sort of lesson about inherited grudges.

looking at the brackets the only uncertain fight is Gu Xiulan vs Wen Ai
The second round gets more interesting with

and mini grudge match
Bai Meizhen
Kang Zihao
If we beat Ji Rong in the second round we will most likely get Sun Liling in the third,
and our job there is to get Her to reveal as much of her skill set as possible for Cai Renxiang and Bai Meizhen.

The time given before the matches really works against us there. Sun will change up her arts to counter us. Her skill set might be completely different during our fight.

So first round wins for the important people but while it looks Meizhen and Renxiang are given clear victories in the second round before a Cai vs Bai rematch Liling is facing stiffer competition. She's got matchups that have at least a chance of an upset or that at least make her work for it and maybe even show some stuff off.
The growing pain's updates are the ones to look at for info on Chu Song. She is stronger now, but she is from a fallen clan. If she is lucky one of her relatives did a grandpa Li and hid a few higher level arts. Otherwise she should have third level archive arts and gear somewhat equal to us (beside the flying sword and Cai robes.)

That's definitely our job there if we can beat (presumably) Ji Rong, and our motivation for doing it.
While I'm not sure we can beat Ji Rong, I'm sure we can last longer against Sun than him.
Besides, him and Sun might have a "You can't beat me, don't make me play my full hand" agreement like CRX just laid out.

I think an important question is what if anything we want to try to keep in reserve for fighting Ji Rong.

Yeah, the Cai and Bai have all but declared an alliance between them. Shenhua had a level of cultivation over Suzhen, so her winning wasn't surprising, but by agreeing to public duel each other, treating each other with respect, and with Shenhua basically saying 'can we fight again plz?' everyone can tell they will support each other.
As for our fight, we wont have our qi batteries so going for a hit-and run attrition battle is not the go to idea. We need to get Chu caught up in the fight and then keep her in it as we pull her down more and more and more. Long fights should still favor us, but now we need to prevent disengagement.

If I remember correctly... it takes a bit more than 15 minutes to rework the meridians. I believe a couple of hours is necessary, if not a couple of days.
Now, for the fight against Chu Song, I believe that she is going to be aggressive. She knows that we have the mists and how potent it is, so she is probably going to try and end this as quickly as possible.
We might be able to separate Chu Song and her spirit beast, and then rush in to help Zhengui against the bear? That's a possibility. On the other hand, we want to remain as close to Zhengui to take advantage of our support characteristics.

Shenhua actually made it politically acceptable for Renxiang to lose to Meizhen though there. After all, if a member of the Bai in good standing could resist the strikes of a ridiculously talented White who's been in that state literally the majority of her life, then it's not surprising that her heir could be defeated when their cultivations are in the same realm.
