Have your +2 @FixerUpper and your canon tag. Since its just two folks spitballing no need to change anything. Huang Da is main family though. I believe you left that line ambiguous for just that reason.
 
We'll hit the second dot of formations in the coming week, as I believe Elder Su is continuing the lessons.

Stealth is something we use constantly in the background, and could always use more of.

Someone threw fives dice on it on omake. I'm not sure you can put more right now, and it will level automatically in next update, but formation is always good. Would be a bit..weird, though, character wise, to get a full dot through omake like that.

If not you can always put it on the usual suspects of dex or dodge or SCS :p

Wait, is there a significant chance (say, over a third) that we won't be able to level SCS in the following update?

Otherwise, I think if I sink 1 xp into expression, I believe our next update will bring us one more and hence another dot and that's going to be immediately useful.

I'm still tempted by that dot in war - I can't be the only one who suspects that Zhou will have us do another team event at some point in the very near future. If this is like his third test (the one we skipped), then the dot in war is going to help us coordinate with people we're not friends with and haven't already trained with exrensively.
 
Yeah I think War/Expression is a pretty good split. Otherwise dump them into something more long term.

It'd need to be a very poor roll to fail to get SCS to 2.

Very much so. If I am correct, the dices are Talent 6 + stone 5+ sable light pill 5+ han jian 3+ suyin 2, but unsure siyun stack with han jian as last update had some specifically weird repartition.

So, we have either 19 or 21 dices for 10 successes needed. I'd say we have almost 50% chance not to get it.

Hopefully you can show where my maths are wrong.

Basically, Art Dices are HARD to get compared to the rest.
 
You're forgetting Argent Soul giving +6, it's still a Cultivation action.

EDIT: Wait, no, I guess it doesn't count? I should check back further.

Huh, you're right, I'm wrong. Huh, hopefully an omake writer decides to dump some XP in there to help lock it down.

Yeah, Argent Soul or Argent Vent doesn't count. Art dices are way too rare. Half the reasons I got for Zephyrx2 (tea so full roll) plan is current plan has an incredible number of pills for it (+11/+12 with tea) and actions trained with friends, so a normal roll of 12 with max spirit stoned is turned into maybe 28 or 29 (so 57 for both).

Alright, added the omake bonus, so Ling Qi has now picked up some basic group tactics stuff from Han Jian.

    • Ok, time for an Omake. I don't want that one to be canon though :D

    Churning Water.

    Hong Lin glided out of her small house, a smile on her lip. For the first time since coming to the sect her paces were measured and the world clear. She arrived without a sound to Elder Zhou's meeting place, not one of her fellow disciple noticing one more person was there. A slow blink and a smile from the Elder, however, showed his appreciation for her breakthrough.

    Breathing slowly as she awaited the lesson to start, her previous calm was broken by a saccharine voice. It seems she had arrived, too, and the tone suggested the Han boy was there too. Hong Lin had to control a wince, her art's passive effect almost breaking as she remembered vividly last week's shame.

    She had chosen to confront the brute, Gan Guangli, ostensibly because she was supposed to be his counterpart, though thankfully not as an oafish brute. Of course, the peasant was annoyingly hard to pin down in that mist, and she just didn't want to fight Xiulan. Losing to her would be humiliating and, well, wouldn't help. Winning? Xiulan's pride would never accept it. She sadly knew full well that if a pretty boy like Han Jian beat Xiulan it would only make the fiery girl's heart throb. If she did, however? Just hatred and disdain. Xiulan was straight as a fire beam.

    So, she targeted the brute, confident that she could control his movements enough that Lu Feng could trap him. This was something that they had managed a few times before, and while the brute was significantly better than at first, she had made her own progress. And she was toyed with like a child. The peasant's new technique… It not only brought her at considerable disadvantage, but also strongly empowered her team. Was this the luck the former Director mentioned? If so, she could expect that mist to improve by bounds if she let the rat continue unimpeded.

    Good that she had finished the last layer of the first cycle of her family's Tranquil Avalanche before the truce came in effect. Her family's cultivation art was frightfully powerful in combat, especially combined with the compatible yin and water arts. It gave great ability to smoothly deal with any kind of setbacks. The peasant's dirty trick won't trip her glide, the oaf's strength would splash harmlessly against her, and the Han boy will drown for the crime of tainting Xiulan's burning passion with saccharine sycophancy.

    She couldn't believe her luck, having Elder tutoring new disciple and handing out very rare medicine transforming her ability to cultivate both her family's cultivation art and the sect's. It was trying, being forced to never have her own family's cultivation equipped simply because it just couldn't compare when it came to learning. Now, though, she didn't need to. As she caressed her tonfas and noticed the peasant talking to her Xiulan along the Han boy, she dearly anticipated the end of the truce.
