@yrsillar How many spirit stones can we use right now? If past trends continue it would be 3 YSS or 1 GSS + 2 YSS, but there's some contention over what the requirements for number of stones usable is. 4 YSS or 1 GSS + 3 YSS is being advanced as a possibility too. Previously the number of stones used was the lower of your cultivation levels, currently late silver, but we can't use 6 YSSm so there's obviously some bounding by realm going on. Thanks in advance.

Also, on tech dots, I think it would work perfectly fine to drop tech dot dice for general clashes and just do some minor tweaks to adjust numerical bonuses down for lower dot techs so there's rough parity. Tech dot dice should still apply for dispel clashes though; severely reducing auto-dispels and having dispel clashes as their own independent thing erases one of the primary reasons you started adding dot dice on defensive techniques in the first place.

with all due respect, this fic has dragons^^, which is pretty much 'dinosaurs' with magic, intelligence, flying (well some dino flies) and breath attack.

like the words 'all be yourself, unless you can be a dragon, then always be the dragon'.

so undead dragon > dino (I think).

(and dragons can pay mercenaries even considering that murderhobos are their 'natural' enemies )
 
Hmm, how about categorizing the choices in terms of party role? Moonlit peak would be music support for spirit minions. Forest would be wood support for friends. Sky would be speed and movement, perhaps archery? Village would be stealth and backstabbing from the shadows. I'd be fine with either moonlit peak or forest so I'm saving my vote in case sky gets more traction.

Everyone knows that the more "Dog Eat Dog" a world is, the stronger the "Power of Friendship" becomes.

Besides, I like our friends the most and this seems narratively satisfying.

Another reason I wanted to pick wind was because of the medicine we took for our breakthrough. I realllyy want to see if there's any narrative bonuses for choosing wind while we are high as a kite on the blood of father sky and all that.

Tho..I would not be averse to fae music moon choice .

@yrsillar Are we keeping the part where Ling Qi suffers from a significant backlash from a non-existent spiritual decrease ? Or is it official Apocrypha ?
I mean logically with the pill's protection Ling Qi should have gone "Hun, it failed. Lets try again..." Rather than the whole "physically wounding backlash, seek doctor, pass out during treatment" thingy ... and it's effects on Ling Qi and Head-Nurse Su. For exemple Li Suyin probably has more need of the pills than Su Ling who has a crushy job in the medicine hall.

I love the whole story there that I'd rather retcon the medicine than change anything.

Easiest thing to do though is just say that Ling Qi's smooth breakthrough after that meant she was able to get some surprisingly productive moon cultivation in that night after breaking through.

Or just say that even though the medicine prevents lost cultivation, the backlash still hurts.

EPC is only cultive-able if we breakthrough to Green first, so using it as justification for smooth breakthrough is illogical.

Imo it would be better to cut it our and keep it in reserve for when/if Ling Qi very significantly fails a physical breakthrough roll in the coming week(s). The failure was by 36 iirc, which is very near the maximum possible backlash intensity for a green breakthrough short of outright critical failure.


Side-note: amusingly the backlash would have been lesser without eating the Mother pill...
