The reason we haven't gotten to know Gu Tai better is mostly because of action economy. I mean we're spread so thin socially that we're doing wasteful major actions in order to fit in more minors.
I also don't see why one last Cai minor is so vital. At this point, even assuming that there's no way to delay our decision whether to accept her offer upon hitting Green, I highly doubt that last action will give us enough actionable information to change anyone's mind.
Edit: Meizhen will still be there next week and Zeqing will be there in two weeks. Or maybe even next week-I forget exactly how her schedule works.

-- If no breakthrough is possible, cultivate whichever of spiritual or physical is closer to peak.
Kind of hard to leave the Zeqing and Meizhen minors both on the table, though.
