Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

@Erebeal I'd like to make the argument for giving Su Ling Argent Current.

Basically, we technically owe her a share of the spoils from the shamans bag, but the drugs we've found so far are all useful to us. The thinking in the Discord was we give her Argent Current as a trade, as it is especially relevant considering she is looking for a melee art so she can rely less on her fox heritage (plus AC being half-fire, Su Ling being fox might have bonuses to it?).

For Li Suyin as well, we could give her the bone crow puppets, as we know she's been looking into puppets, and it's not like they're of any use to us or Su Ling. Thoughts?

Honestly the main reason i prefer mountain 11 is to give AC.

I would happily change to Erebal's plan if it gives it.

I'm willing to change my vote if the QM says this is a nonstarter (and I honestly think attaching the Meizhen minor to Zhengui probably is), but it's the best plan so far. Mountain doesn't train FVM (a total waste, it's our most used art and we only can train it every other week with the spirits help) and Darkness doesn't have Zhengui.
Plan moutain does train FVM, it's the Zeqing action.
@Erebeal, could you add the Li Suyin minor action?
Erebeal's plan does have the Li Suyin minor action. Do you mean something else?
Just read the update, but have a small remark at Plan Please let us have everything oh benevolent QM?
Can't we ask Elder Jiao for a Zephyr's Breath successor art? Maybe one that's better than the one we would stumble upon in the first level of the archive? Elder Ying was more than happy to provide us with our excellent Thousand Ring Fortress Art.
When we were told we had Elder lessons, he also told us he wouldn't provide us arts. That would have been the 'top prize'.
Honestly the main reason i prefer mountain 11 is to give AC.

I would hapily change to Erebal's plan if it gives it.
Same.

This is a good point but I think then offering so much to Suyin cheapens what we give to Su Ling. Either we share as a partner or it's general benevolence offerred to our friends. Especially if we end up giving more from the bag to Suyin as well as offering her AC too.

Even just AC, I don't like offering to Suyin if we don't offer it to Meizhen too.

I dunno, this is meant to be a stealth mission. We got it from the Grinning Moon after all, and storming the place with a shit ton of dudes doesn't sound too stealthy. Granted, it's not like the Grinning Moon told us we couldn't do that. But it seems to go against the spirit of the whole thing. Either way, I'd prefer to go it alone.
My storming idea is dependent on all knowing enemies. If scrying is as useful as it's being made out to be there's no logical reason they shouldn't be watching Ling Qi. If Xiulan could find out that we've been sneaking around looking for stuff there's no way the 3rd realm incarnation of feline paranoia isn't also aware. Coupled with the fact that we set off at least one trap, scrying that could follow Meizhen constantly would also be watching us making any attempt at stealth pointless.

o_O I'll edit my post to clarify, but I wasn't planning on giving AC to Suyin? Just to Su Ling; the bone crow puppets are the only thing I was planning on giving to Suyin.

If we don't have the meridians for an art, that means we aren't allowed to train the next level - right?

If so, AM gains should have overflowed to Qi, since we don't have a third head meridian.
(Unless that was a typo, and we don't actually need a third head meridian yet?)

About Zhengui , digging a hole and hiding half his body is one thing, but what about actually moving underground ? It's a different kind of stealth from Ling Qi, but a different attack vector is usually very useful. He doesn't even really need to emerge from the ground to attack/bit ankles since the snake head has decent range on it's own.
Art-wise he needs a Qi dissimulation art, a sensor art and a borrowing art (maybe a fire-based ambush art too? for explosive sneak attack). Dissimulation can definitively be taught by mo-Big Sis, and apparently she's starting to learn Qi Sense too.
Gui seems to have some inborn talent for digging, but maybe a formal art would help there. Seems like a low rank art which should be avaliable in the library 1st room, or even just trading with other acolytes. Seriously, why isn't that more of a thing ? is there a rule that forces acolytes to get their arts from the library/elders ?
While on the subject, is there a reason not to have Ling Qi mother/sister start cultivation ? Even just red realm should be a enormous boon for a civilian mortal (increased all around body and mental attributes, increased health, reduced food and sleep needs, ect...). How knows, maybe lil'sis is also talented. Besides, isn't that how clans start ? Someone has great success and s/he makes the rest of the family enjoy part of the benefits.

[X] Plan Please let us have everything oh benevolent QM?
If only because i much rather infiltrate the stealth mission than going with force overwhelming. Scying is kind of irrelevant imo.
Pity it doesn't have the option Give Argent Current to Su Ling. (why is Suyin even included in that plan i don't know...)
Meizen+Zenhgui could work, if it were worded around having both spirits interact, maybe, but in there it seems stretchy. What is Zenghui going to do while we shop ? Maybe if Ling Qi was trying to buy something for him ? And needed Meizen advice on it ? (like an Art ?)

He has been rather clear he isn't going to teach us any new arts. "Bring your own materials" remember?
I think the idea here is simply asking for information, not the Art itself. What does the Elder thinks is the best art for us to train in to succed ZB ? Then Ling Qi can go to the Library and buy it herself.
Same as :
--[X] Question! How far should we progress in EPC before breaking into green?
in the previous vote. Which by the way, didn't get answered in the chap...

Why do you think the heir to a major duchy needs a low level melee art for ?She and her family probably have dozens strictly better, and at least a few more suited to mesh with her other family skills.
If it's some kind of friendship bribe i'd see it as more insulting than anything else.

The only plan currently giving AC to Su Ling also gives it to Suyin IIRC.
Su Ling needs Ling Qi to be given something in exchange because it makes her feel better if things are shown as a trade. Furthermore, she understands that our relationship with Li Suyin is different than the one we are having with her.

The reason we are not (yet) giving AC to meizhen is simply because Meizhen is a rival of Xiulan, and so while it is normal to expect that asking Xiulan if we can share AC with two people not taking the combat tournament will go without issue, sharing it with someone who will likely end up beating Han Jian/Her in the tournament is a whole other kettle of hugs.

[X]Plan Plumb the Darkness

I want what's in the tome, that guy wasn't that strong but his rituals were way out of proportion to his power so if we can find a way to pull off something on the scale that'd be really nice.

Eh.

There may be an art in there, but probably not one we want to learn ourselves (Maybe for suyin) and we certainly don't want to do the kind of things that dude was doing.

I don't, I just think it's polite to offer it to her rather than leaving her the only one of the vent group that wasn't offered it. Just generally when you're in a semi regular group of people, singling out one person to not offer something to can easily come across as a slight. Especially with how awkward we are at the moment.

Su Ling might need an exchange (arguably we already owe her something for the bag) but does Suyin not? She's even more likely to angst over not being worthy of our benevolence.

Xiulan seeing Meizhen as competition is a good point but I'd still rather not give it to Suyin if that's the case. Meizhen is arguably in the vent group and I'd rather not do more to isolate her from it like having all of us sharing a vent group attacking art, except her.

This is just going to split the vote, but I do prefer it quite a lot to any of the other plans.

I think every plan look at the tome (Li Suyin minor). I am guessing you mean Shaman Bag?

Maybe less emphasis on the human bone totem and sacrifice to get there, but the guy was a one man weapon of mass destruction with what he was pulling off. It's foolish to cast aside what they have to offer when it was so powerful; even with our cleansing qi and medical assistance we suffered from the effects of that battle for quite a while, and he wasn't even expecting us.

Edit:
Yes, I want to look at both the tome and the bag. There may well be a synergy to it.

What Su Ling and what Li Suyin need for 'giving back' to us are different. Li Suyin needs to feel like she is helping us personally, while Su Ling feels like she wants to make a transaction where she is not in our debt. At this point, Li Suyin will feel in our debt until she grows up, but it's a matter of giving her the opportunity to feel like she is giving back.

Like helping us look at what's in the tome in our minor with her this week.

Meizhen believes that Li Suyin/Su Ling are our vassals, and as such doesn't think what we share with them should be shared with her, so it's not an issue. Considering we just gave her the location of the black pool this week (but no one else) she is fully aware we are not snobbing her.

He was a walking weapon of mass destruction because he was ready to commit human sacrifice and corrupt himself. Those aren't separate things. I mean, just rememeber what Elder Ying said:

"Forbidden arts, performed out of desperation and desire for vengeance, most likely," the Elder replied with a hint of sadness. "Such things usually are, when they are not mere plays for power. I suppose I shall have to get the details from you girls to determine which it was. Come, let us get you back to the mountain."

This isn't the kind of power sane people should seek.

Oy people, i will change the plan to only give AC to Su Ling, people in discord are saying they prefer to only give it to Suyin and i agree.

(I will share the contens of the book instead).
