I think you should replace his with Kang Zihao here, i know it refers to him but the text looks very unclear.

You think we are going to have to do multiple tasks?

My impression from the vision was that we do one task for one patron, and then that rank of EPC is spent cultivating under that patron. Remember, we were told we would be making a choice here; I don't think the choice is merely "which quest do you want to start with".

The Moon is change, and locking to a path is anathema to it's ideal.

But more specifically, the waning crescent quest has four objectives. Each of which is individually easy for us. So there must be a complicating factor to make it the peer of the others. Which the obvious one would be that stealing the items or finding the people would increase the alertness level if detected and make all the other steal/seek objectives harder.
 
So, action priorities this week.

For major actions, I would say that Zhengui, MoonQuest, FVM with Hanyi's Mother and SCS are a priority. I'm not sure what option we should take for the last slot, though I'm tempted to do a mission.

For minor actions, Cai's action is a must, as is the Li Suyin + Su Ling (if we don't do it and they get hurt, we are going to regret it. A lot.) Not too fixed on the other stuff.

Looks like we'll eventually be able to look at other phases, might not be for a while or could be straight away

Well, now that we have TRF, we can train it? It's been pretty useful this event, and it's only gonna take 2 turns. Could be very useful to us (also, within the next 2 weeks we need to spend an action on AMA, because we should be able to get it next week if we do so).

Pretty much this- we only do one of the quests, here.

But yeah, I am thinking something like this:


[] Spend time taking care of and raising Zhengui
-[] Visit Li Suyin and Su Ling to talk to them about moving back into the residential area. There are a number of free homes now
[] Seek out Hanyi's Mother, you have improved your melody after all
[] Visit the Archive
-[] Search for ZB+
-[] Check out Heart meridian arts
[] Train with Meizhen
-[] SCS
[] Select and begin a Moon Phase task
-[]Waning crescent

[] Cai Renxiang has requested that you meet her over tea. It seems she has something to discuss
[] Talk to one of your friends about participating in the trial you have discovered
-[] Select friend?
[] Compose a letter back to mother

The main problem with this is 'no vent training' and 'not sure we can attach the Su Ling/ Li Suyin minor to Zhengui'. In that case, we might be forced to do TRF/Vent with Li Suyin/Su Ling.

This is wrong. We are explicitely told we have a quest we need to chose, and it will be our choice... for now.

We will be able to change, but it will be later. There is only one quest.

One thing sort of neat about the Full and New Moon quests is they both are asking us to strengthen ourselves with learning. One (Full) by studying formations, while New wants us to challenge a trial, and those have excellent rewards.

Both paths are rewarding, but I think Full is the slower but surer path... which actually counts against it. We're starting to get into time crunch, we need fast rewards, which the more gamblely path of the New Moon offers.

Which is sad, because I really want to learn more formations.

We aren't locking to an ideal, but we are choosing a place to start. E.g. we might choose the New Moon now, and then the waning Crescent at the next level of EPC, and so on.

Not locking us to a single path doesn't mean the paths aren't distinct and need to be waled once-at-a-time.

Are you referring to "a boy shadowed by deep purple mist, a room lit by eerie green lanterns… a book and a slip of jade"? Because I read that all as one objective, specifying what we need to steal from where and from who.

But we can attach inviting Meizhen to the trial to training SCS with her?

Pick it later? We got a year and a half left still to pick up the Full moon as another phase of the EPC. Should go for the more directly rewarding ones of Grinning/New Moon first.

Nice Update Yrs.

Its interesting how all of this went down, and its nice to have confirmation that Cai Renxiang has tricks up her sleeve. I would be thoroughly disappointed if she was simple.
I feel bad for Gu Xiu, but I don't think we can do anything about that right now other than be there.

In that case we have the Who(probably) from your assessment, but none of the others, though the What solves itself when we get there.

I'm unsure on the last minor action. I suspect if we talk to him this week, we'll get hunting with him back next week, but we're in time crunch, so we might spend it a different way.
 
Reminder that we should be capable of getting AMA with another action, we already have the meridians needed, and the fact that it's going to pay it's value several-fold in a maze.

It's currently at 20/60, so it has a chance to reach it's next level with only one training action in 2 weeks time.

Doing New first and getting a trial, probably Jiao's would be so nice. But I am kinda worried what the Grinning Moon would do if we did not pick her first. It seems like that kind of thing that could go so wrong... Not doing certain actions has came back and bit us before in this quest.

IIRC the Grinning Moon did it as a favor to the New Moon.
So that quest too should be a priority?

Roughly agree, although I think talking to Li Suyin and Su Ling is more important than talking to Han Jian.
