I just want to see more Vivas, tbh.

And they are going to be so happy with you for saying that. I tried to find a way to say that that didn't sound sarcastic. I failed.
Wow. Did I do something to you, or something? Because this is an unusually high level of hostility.

And look. I know Kaizuki. And did you miss his statement earlier in this thread where he mentioned that he liked answering questions about this sort of stuff?

What would we do if Anna lost some character relevance points ?
Who gives a damn? Personally I wouldn't mind ditching Perth as soon as Anna gets into a better headspace. After all, the only reason she's staying here now is because it's good for her. 'Look after Koji and Setsu' thing is more or less accomplished, what with everyone joining Sandra's flight and the two becoming de facto apprentices to Shuri and Yukari respectively.

Current quest goal I'm aiming for is fully mastering waveforce and slaughtering every single T0-A on Earth in a suitably terrifying manner. Quirky top ace teammates like Vivas and Washington are welcome as well.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough: I meant for that to sound genuine, and failed to find a way. I'm familiar with how much Kaizuki loves this stuff. I commented on that in the hopes of being funny. Sorry again.

We have 3 ways of winning:

1. Gain the maximum character relevance.
2. Win Koujirou's heart.
3. Save the world.

Each of those grants us the spinoff-series. Though there's nothing saying we cannot aim towards getting more than one of those goals.

This is a war anime, I fully expect it to shift either midway through this tournament or just after graduation. Much like Attack on Titan spent so long building up relationships and background NPC's, so too will this show. And I bet that like AoT there will be a mass slaughter in the first encounter to show off how serious the war is.

IB4 Anna-fans break down when she's killed off saving the MC. :p

Sorry, bit of RP post there, but still. This is a war anime. Once the fights start I'm sure there will be plot threads following each of the groups when they split off.

Anna's too important to be stuck with Koujirou in War, she'll be shown off in an arc of her own. And THAT will likely be the point where all this stuff gets shown off.

So long as we're talking about stuff like 'winning' and 'goals' and 'reasons to vote one way or another', I'd just to say that personally, my motivation for voting is to create the most compelling viewing experience for alternate universe me who not only lives in a universe where this quest is actually an anime, but actually has time to watch said anime.

Lucky bastard. I bet he's not doing a Masters.

Reason I'm split on this vote is that luckybastard!me would be appreciative of quirky Anna commentary on the matches, but would not like traumatic Anna commentary on the matches. I reckon it could go either way.

"This isn't really an harem anime, is it?" comments Alt!me, as he watches the latest episode on a tablet in his bed, "There's hardly a harem, unless you count stuffing a billion tropes in one character as one. This is going more shounen-"

"Oh no."

"This isn't going to an all out, let's make far too many episodes for our own good and drag out this thing to death, is it? I mean, I've got a disproportinately large amount of time, but not that much."

Decide on a favourite food or favourite food type! Doesn't matter if you classify them by region, type or anything;
[X] Antagonists

Which matches of the Squadron Vanguard tournament will you be going to see?
Accept Commentary request?

[X] No. You will watch all the matches involving your squadron. As the matches take place simultaneously, you will only be watching the matches from your own squadron.

BlackNoise - Anna
Funny coincidence, 1/30th of a millisecond is just off the amount of time the information about the teleport should have taken to reach Anna, assuming they start on synced clocks which should be the case with the drone doing the counting.

Either Langston cheated more by starting a full 64 microseconds before t=0, or she stared at her - 32us banking on Anna not noticing the suspiciously perfect-timed teleport, Anna being Anna detected that instantly and when later asked Langston would claim that technically some observers would see the Anna's countdown reach zero before she teleported so it most definitely wasn't cheating.

On an unrelated note, I drew this a while ago and kinda forgot about it:

Not sure if it was before or after I've seen the PVC symbol currently in use. I'd always imagined Anna as more innocent/awkward/sad looking than tired/dead-eyed. Also for some reason I thought she's pretty lightweight for a near 2m tall goddess of battle.

I think it's fallacious to say that the people who support Anna commentating don't care about her wellbeing and want to simply generate more character relevance points. I for one think that this will be a good experience for Anna and her relationship with the student body.

Anna get's do something outside her comfort zone, which is pretty much the definition of character development. She's already shown that she can safely distinguish the simulators from reality. This gap would have only grown in the intervening period. She can also deal with Valkyries fighting as shown by the very first post. It's probably the most controlled Environment under which she can experience this sort of thing.

It will also help her relationship with the student body. Currently she some sort of mythic figure to the majority of them and it would be nice to humanize her to the rest of the students. It opens up the possibility of expanding our social circle which is again both good for Anna's mental health and character development.

Finally I think people are scared of it all going wrong. But realistically since it is highly dubious that Anna will flip out in the middle of the tournament it will simply be a boring commentary. Big deal. Anna gets to experience something new and probably isn't asked to do it again.

In short, that exact logic led to Shinji getting drunk right before getting in the Eva. Because it would be "fun" and getting drunk helps him play Dark Souls.

It turned out to be a freaking terrible decision.

In short, think more before you make your vote. Don't try to justify it after you decide that you want to do something in particular because you'll think it'll be fun. Try to look at it from more than one angle.
The way I remember that decision point, Moiderah made a huge deductive leap and had us pour alcohol down Shinji's throat right before getting in the Eva, when our vote was meant to be something else.
I will point out that the vote in question was to offer Shinji a drink, but the GM interpreted it as "force a drink down Shinji's throat".
Okay, it's not just me then.

'Look after Koji and Setsu' being outsourced to Sandra so we can focus on dakka does not seem in keeping with the spirit of our promise to, you know, look out for Koji and Setsu.

I think you forgot that the character that was being played as was already drunk, and as such was not wise to think that the vote would not be taken to far.
