Heh, that was kind of out of nowhere...
Wanted to try and fit an unexpected John Cena vine, but you guys wouldn't be able to see it.:p:p

I'm having a bit of trouble with finding music to write this to... the best I can come up with has been Most Epic Battle Music Ever: Into A Dark Dawn but I'm only perfectly comfortable with the first... minute or so. Minute ten. I need... I don't know exactly what I need. This'll work. But there might be something better.

Edit: Wow, this is not flowing at all. Sorta? 600 words in 2 hours. I need to better figure out what the hell I'm doing lol. I mean, I sort of know... and it's getting written. It just needs a lot more thinking. I do like the direction I'm going so far, though. Anyway... this is going to be a medium to long term thing, it looks like. I need to daydream more about it... and I could really stand to get a better feel for the characters. Jeez.

Wait, why was my post quoted again? I had a vine about 'rassling but your post was about your omake, which may or may not stop my withdrawal from Anna. Also, keep it up! Writing is a painful process, so anything that helps...

P.S. I've always found it better to write in near silence, with the occasional classical music thrown in. Woe be the ones without Anna.

Uhhh... Maybe I just like quoting your posts o_O?

Honestly with all the recent conversation it wouldn't have made too much of a difference. In other news, 100 pages (and a bit) have passed since the last update. This is a great milestone and a little upsetting that we've posted more than a third of the whole thread in the time between story posts. Beta faster @LegacySC

Yes.

The occasional omake, fan theories, worldbuilding discussions and sudden insights are very nice to read, but the more common off-topic natter and inane, single-line exchanges are becoming a chore to scroll through.
And that is your opinion. However, I would think the majority of this thread likes those conversations, hence why they keep happening. That or everyone is lazy. Both are plausible.

I think you're underestimating how many people follow this thread.

Only a small minority needs to like these discussions to keep them going indefinitely.
This.

@Tornadohunter, we get a lot of lurkers and irregulars. People who come in once in a while to catch up. A whole goddamn lot. To them, the parts of the thread that look like a chatroom are rather annoying. To the regulars, they're home.

@defenestrator, I'll not make you any promises on this. I don't think the people who are responsible for the posts you complain about are getting here via the sticky. I'm certainly not, although what category of person I fall into is malleable.

Anywho, I'm still looking for some better music for the omake writing. The stuff I'm running on right now is... meh. I need something that matches the feel. Ideally "Battle music that isn't 'epic' 'awesome' or 'combative,' but rather just 'dark/foreboding'." I found some stuff that would have worked, but all the friggin crow noises and whatever are too much swords horses spells fantasy for it. If somebody miraculously has something for me, that would be really cool.

Any of these work?

Regicide - The Witcher 2
Artorias the Abysswalker - Dark Souls
Gehrman, the First Hunter - Bloodborne
Waltz of Death - Obscure 2

I'm a lurker, and I find these conversations to be quite entertaining. Particularly Florida and Australia. All of this stuff is just so off-the-wall that it's hilarious, and if it inspires an omake or two, all the better.

Eh, the conversations are quite entertaining, like the Kobloid's plight in Florida or the shipping of everything. Also, keep it up! I look forward to your omake with a similar lack of patience that I have for @LegacySC; your edits are killing me here. I NEED MY FIX OF BREAD-CHAN DAMMIT!

P.S. Woe be the ones without Anna.

Still fumbling around trying to figure out how the hell to write this. It's extremely new to me. Solved the music problem when I figured out listen on repeat had a "set start and end times" function; credit to the people who suggested music for getting me to look at that again. Anyway, a little snippet from the recycling bin.

"War is hell." – William Tecumseh Sherman.

"War… is hell? What are you talking about? We're fighting a war against hell. Its forces have a name: the Antagonist army." – CMSgt Anna Sanchez, UNAF, 2075.

I can't wait to see the (im/ex)plosion caused by the next update. It seems withdrawal has long passed critical levels and has started manifesting itself as happy chitchat. If we get more canon to talk about, it will surely go nuclear!
